So he made his decision, then. That was fine, she was prepared for his assault and deflected the kunai with the blade she kept hidden at her wrist. She didn't pay attention to the string as his blade came rushing to meet her, rather just doing a counter attack from the Pi Gua Quan arsenal. Catching the blade with her hidden blade, she spun quickly before she could be bogged down by his heavy weapon. Her right hand spun around in an attempt to catch him in the neck with a sideways chop. In other words, the Snake Dag.

Hikari smirked at Rika as she blocked his kunai, catching his own blade with one of her own. He could tell that she was good, very good, but even so, there would be a limit to how much and how fast she could move. And he would find out that limit. As she came in for a strike at his neck, Hikari formed a handsign with one hand, saying, "Sakana Kibo no Jutsu! And Sakana Bou no Jutsu! With the Sakana Kibo, scales formed over his body, succesfuly creating an outer layer, strong enough to block most and all Taijutsu attacks, and with the Sakana Bou, he created a net made from chakra, it starting from his fingers, the chakra forming at his palm as he threw it forward at Rika, now at close range with her right by him. (Hikari was attempting to throw it overhead and over her, pulling her to him. Using his free right hand of course.) Then, with his jutte in his other hand, he threw it, grasping the wire, attempting to send the blunt blade in a circular motion, trying to wrap Rika, as well as he himself within it, in a rather uncomfortable way and positioning. (If the net had worked, Rika would be within it, unable to get out in the next few seconds as Hikari wrapped the wire around the two, they now close together, the wire squeezing them in as the jutte slowed to a stop, finishing off with the wire.)

Rika never panics, that's one of her best features as a shinobi. The net caught her, but that wasn't her problem at this point. The moment she felt the wire touch her body, she dropped straight down so that it couldn't continue wrapping around her. Yet the sword continued to spin around Hikari, which amused Rika greatly. Wrapping her finger in chakra, she cut herself out of the net and stood before the now tied up Hikari. "I'll wait for you to untie yourself. This is your one break from me, I want a good fight...none of these tricks. The next time we meet, you may try them. Remember, you are trying to impress me with your battle skills."
She stepped on to the lake and looked back at him grinning, "You know...you made my job a lot easier by coming to find me. As the Oinin Captain, a rank I received not long ago, you are one of my targets to locate." She removed her mask and slid it into her robes, shaking her head. "So your choices are pretty limited. Unless you can beat me, you're going to have to return to the village...or die." Her voice was quiet at that point, almost sad as she sat on the surface and waited from him to be untied. "But that will be for the next time we meet, I believe. This isn't a village matter, this is a Sage matter."

Hikari was rather annoyed. For one, she had gotten out of some tough wire with ease even though he had clearly aimed to capture her, and another, she thought that she could make a fool of him. Really? Not cool at all. Sighing, Hikari placed chakra into the wire, it falling apart all around him, loosening up. Grasping it, he pulled it up towards himself, Hata Te once more within his grasp. Shaking his head, he wondered why she insisted on talking like she was superior. What Hikari had just done was not a trick, in all seriousness, he had done it as a finishing move tactic of some sort, and yet, she viewed it as childish. Shrugging his shoulders, Hikari decided that it was not yet the time to show her his power, not yet at all. Sheathing his Hata Te, Hikari took a stance, dashing at Rika, sending a fist forth as he said, "Ready yourself." Attempting to send his fist into Rika's face as she sat there, attempting to gain the upperhand.

Rika's legs began moving fairly erratically as he moved close, mentally timing him. Two steps...three steps...four. Ducking under his fist with the flexibility offered to her via Pi Gua Quan, she leaned back and struck directly at his chest. Leaping away, she shook her head. "Come now, Hikari. Why are you using Taijutsu and Bukijutsu against me? Did you not hear that I was a specialist in such combat?" She frowned, shaking her head at him. "Here's a hint. As a Ninjutsu specialist, do you not think that you should be using your Ninjutsu against me?" Forming seals, she narrowed her eyes and unleashed a powerful column of water from her left. It rose and spiraled out, turning into a water drill and came crashing towards him. Suigadan, or Water Fang Projectile, was one of her favorite water techniques.
She wasn't toying with him or making this a joke. In reality, she was really making this a sort of training for the still inexperienced shinobi. Perhaps once he witnessed the power she commanded without the aide of her Bijuu, he would consider coming back on his own rather than her having to force him. That was her intent, but how clearly he saw that...she didn't know.
((OOC: If you're wondering, due to her mastery of Pi Gua Quan...her reflexes, flexibility, speed, and strength are one level higher than her rank. Sannin level, to be exact. I also forgot to factor in that shadow clone I made in the beginning...going to fix that now.))

Hikari, after she ducked his fist, leaning back, striking at his chest, simply took the blow. The scales were still covering him, though their power would fade soon enough. (End of this post) When she asked why he used Taijustu, he himself kept quiet, as though holding back some sort of information. There was indeed a reason why he was using Taijutsu and Bukijutsu. Because at the moment, he didn't see it fit to use Ninjutsu. At the moment of course. "You think of me as a newborn guppie and you yourself a mother whale. Do not patronize me with your advice. I am already using my ninjutsu to an advantage if you haven't already noticed." Hikari, not even going to attempt to dodge the Water Fang was struck by the drill, it shredding at him, attempting to break through his scales. This amount of water would suffice. Forming a handsign, Hikari pressed a palm upon the drill itself as it carved through his scales. "Umi Ikimono Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" A shark shot out from the water, heading within Rika's direction, attempting to chomp on her. Hikari, scales now broken and feet touching the water merged with it, his liquid-like form sinking into it, the drill passing overhead without doing too much damage to Hikari himself. Broken scales, bruises in the chest area, but nothing too serious itself. Forming a hand-sign, Hikari concentrated his chakra, head now appearing above the surface of the lake. He had time to think as the shark was aiming at Rika, so now, what could he do...? Ah yes...

Rika narrowed her eyes and the shark exploded in a shower of water, the rain of shark now covering their battlefield. "I am no whale, young Hikari. I am the Queen Shark and you will see that it is no exaggeration!" About that time, her shadow clone disappeared and her body instantly began its change. Nature Chakra surged through her body as her skin turned blue, gills appeared on her neck, and her hands became webbed. Her body became more muscular and streamlined, her shoes were kicked off and her feet became webbed. The last touches were appearing, a large antenna sprouted from the back of her neck and curled around her body. The end was a jagged, poison tipped blade. She smiled, jagged teeth having appeared in place of her regular ones and her eyes were now pale with a black slit in them.
Diving down to the bottom of the lake, she allowed the cool waters to invigorate her. Pushing off the bottom with amazing power and speed, she broke the surface and flew high into the air. "You will do well to mind your superiors in the future, Hikari." Her voice was like gravel, yet still held an air of sophistication that she usually spoke with. Her hands moved quickly and she unleashed a huge blast of water from her mouth. In the stream, her voice carried itself in the water. "Sage Mode Release: Hydro Cannon!" Even if this attack missed him, the lake would be increased exponentially. She landed gracefully on the water, allowing her body to sink to her eyes.

Hikari, eyes widening as Rika spoke about being a queen, was surprised that her body was transforming. A bit surprised, but not a lot. He had expected transformations, but not something this drastic. Hikari could literally taste the chakra that oozed out of her form, invisible and moist like mist, yet salty like poison. Gritting his teeth, Hikari noticed that her smile showed her jagged teeth. He, as soon as she made a move, would have to move fast to dodge. She still didn't know that he was from the Umi Clan, so he hoped, so she possibly also didn't know that his speed was increased when within the water. Alright...so he had a chance here. As soon as she dove, he saw her break through the surface once more, a huge blast of water shooting down from her mouth. Hikari, head going under flipped himself within the water, pressing chakra into the soles of his feet, propelling himself through the water, flying through it like a torpedo, the Hydro Cannon striking the surface of the water, still shooting down under the surface itself, a hurricane, or rather, a gale of waves crashing down all around, slashing his clothes, pressing upon him. Able to breathe underwater passively, Hikari simply breathed in the water, regaining composure, staying under for the moment. A battle in the water was something that would literally kill him, but he had to try it. "Come on down. The water's fine..." Hikari, eyes still wide, took slow breaths, keeping his cool. Because he was in the water.

Rika's body was little more than a flash, traveling so quickly in the water that it did not seem physically possible. Dashing up to him, she then dove below him and resurfaced directly behind him with her wrist blade to his back. "Give up and you'll survive this encounter. You may be in your element...but you're in my domain." As the Aquarian sage, her power and speed was unmatched when in the water. And due to being the host of Houkou, her jutsu all hit harder than natural. He had no hope and she did not feel like dragging this fight out. His lack of respect enraged her to the point of going to sage mode, yet perhaps he could still impress her yet?

Hikari, not even flinching when Rika dashed up to him, diving under and then coming behind him thought of a few ways to get out of the situation he was in. There were many, but each was hidden under a new and more complicated way. Using his mind, rather, his brain power, he tried to calculate a way to make this work. For one, he needed patience, as well as concentration. And thus, when Rika spoke, acting as though she were superior, speaking that he was in her domain, Hikari concentrated himself, eyes closed, arms behind his back, palms facing the direction in which Rika was in. He calmly took in this situation, replying back to her, "Your domain? More like mine. Sakana Bou. Umi Ikimono Kuchiyose Again!" Hikari's palm released a net once more as he attempted to capture her within it as then, with his other hand, he pressed a hand upon the water, a swarm of pirrahna's appearing before him, swarming around, attempting to bite at and strike Rika.

Rika's laughter boomed out across the lake as the antenna around her body shot out and sliced through the chakra net. Her hands blazed and she did a pair of jutsu, "Seijin Mo-do Houmen." The pair of jutsu shared the same name, though now it went from the scales being on her body to be fired out, they were now a powerful armor able to rend flesh and drain chakra. Leaping out of the water, she scowled at Hikari and his piranha friends but knew now what to do. While in the air, her hands blazed with practiced signs and her fanged smile gleamed in the sun. "Raiton: Gian!" Black lightning streaked from her mouth and slammed into the water in between Hikari and the piranha, sizzling them in the water.
Her final act, she used her falling momentum to propel herself through the water and slam her forearm along Hikari's leg. The jagged scales covering her body acted similar to Samaheda in that they shredded and consumed chakra.

Hikari had expected Rika to be this strong, that was indeed a fact. He had known of the risks of battling her when he had first challenged. He knew that right now she was probably the strongest opponent he would ever face, but, did he slow down his movements? No. Did he let his vision be clouded by the scales fired at him? No. He said to himself once more, "Sakana Kibo no Jutsu!" scales covering hsi body, eroding over his flesh as the scales fired at him came forth, shooting his own armor like bullets. Weakened bullets, but bullets nonetheless. As they struck, Hikari felt the flesh under the scales slowly rip and tear, his chakra draining by a small amount. When Rika leapt out of the water, successfuly dodging hid piranha's, Hikari could only watch as she formed handsigns. Not quick ones really, but handsigns nonetheless. Forming his own, he waited as the black lightning shot down in his direction, towards the lake. Shooting out of the water for a brief instant, his alignment with it due to his heratige giving him more speed, he felt a slight shock, rather than the full blown force of the electricity. Slapping back into the water, Hikari saw, as well as felt the movements of the water, the waves shifting as Rika came at him, attempting to slam her arm into his leg. Now, this would not do, not at all. It was time to reveal his technique. Hikari, forming a handsign with his right hand as Rika came close said, "Tako Heiki no Jutsu!". Replacing his legs, the water surrounding them formed eight four tentacles, each made of H2O, thus, as Rika slashed at him with her forearm, she would basically be slashing water, rather than his actual leg which he had transformed. This folly, this plan of course wouldn't be enough to stop her, thus, with his open left hand, he swished it through the water, saying, "Umi Ikimono Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" a large whale appearing when he placed his hand. This would possibly cut off the connection between Rika and he, so he hoped. Umi clan members, once they reached the rank of Chuunin were able to summon any sea creature to their will, as long as they had enough chakra to maintain it....thus, Hikari was making use of this....

Houkou was clouding Rika's vision and was getting angrier by the second. The stronger she became, the harder his influence was to break and the more her personality shifted. She was sick of him dragging this out and she was determined to finish that now. Diving beneath the waves and settling at the bottom of the lake, hands moving quickly as she finished her jutsu. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu." Five of her appeared from the smoke, a total of six in total. They all at once did the same signs together, smoke appearing at their left hands. "Kuchiyose: Raikō Kenka ." They were all wielding Nuibari, one of the Seven Deadly Swordsmen of the Mist weapons of old.
It was shaped like a large sewing needle, made specifically for thrusting to pierce through one's foe. All six Rika blazed through the water at full speed, five of which struck the whale with repeated barrages of strikes with the intent to kill it. The real Rika floated before him and her body shimmered and seemed to be hazy, an outline appearing around her form. Her Murderous Form....Then used Double Slide, slashing at him from both the left and the right, followed by a Vertical Descent. Her body vanished, leaving behind an after image of her about to strike him as she swam down to strike him from above.
(Six posts until sage mode runs out...make sure you're doing this realistically. She's far stronger and faster at this point than a kage.)

Hikari wasn't surprised when she dodged his whale. Hell, he wasn't surprised by anything she did anymore. He was just accepting the fact that she had enough strength to take him down. He was just prolonging th enevitable. If he made a single mistake, it would mean his death, and as of now, Rika, as anyone could tell, was not fooling around anymore. Hikari saw her dive beneath the waves, going to the bottom of the lake, forming handsigns, forming clones all around her. Okay, so she had clones. Two could play that game. Hikari, hands together formed handsigns, saying, "Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu! (x5)" Five clones appearing around him, each 1/10th in his strength, chakra, and everything. Now, why had he formed them without blades? He couldn't form blades seeing as he hadn't learned the technique to do so obviously. Hikari, gazing forth as the clones shot forth towards the whale, intent on killing it, simply said, "Tai: Dispell!" The whale itself dissapearing in a large POOF! smoke and dust covering the water in which it had dissapeared. The clones, each around Hikari knew what they had to do. The real Hikari, looking at Rika saw her body shimmer a bit. Okay, so what was she doin- Slashing at him. With moves almost too quick for him to see, he saw her slash at him from left to right. Propelling himself backwards, only getting as far as an inch, he (you didn't define where you were aiming) felt the blade slash across his chest, a fine spray of blood splattering out and away. Okay, so she'd cut him, and she'd managed to strike a part of his body where blood actually flowed. Good jo- Hikari, noticing that Rika was about to strike him, held forth his Hata-te as his clones backed him up from all sides, looking up, down, left, and right, eyes around. The one that looked up however saw Rika coming down for a slash. The woman was too fast, that was for sure. The clone itself was able to use one technique, but none would be able to stop the slash. Maybe....slow it down? The clone, forming a handsign said, "Mizuame Nabara!" a syrup-like paste shooting out, aiming directly for Rika's Nuibari. (If this hit, seeing as it regularly covered a range of 20 square meters, if it struck, it would splatter all over the blade, soon after doing so also cover Rika in it. (Note, Hikari is watching the afterimage, not Rika herself.)

The moment the sticky substance hit her body, she expelled a massive amount of chakra from her body. The entire lake sucked in and then surged out, sending massive waves crashing ashore. But she stopped moving and nodded, "Well then...You pass this test, you may sign the contract with the Aquarians." Leaping from the water and reverting to normal, she produced the contract scroll waited.
