Tomoko was having a sensory overload. She wasn't sure who to hug onto first and start crying, or what else to do. She was just... OH SWEET UNDERWORLD, EVERYBODY WAS ALIVE. Even if the girl was still shaken, she made a point to latch onto whoever was closest to her in as death-grip-surprising-for-such-a-delicate-girl and start bawling again.
"YOU'RE ALIIVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ;A:"

West grimaced at Damien's surprise nickname for him, opening his mouth to say something disparaging in return before reigning himself in. His jaw snapped shut with a click of teeth and he frowned instead. Kids. As long as none of them followed through the portal he supposed he wouldn't let their presence bother him. Although, if there had been no fog where there had been kids, did that mean kids were fog? The thought of weird staring children rubbing up against him and causing hallucinations about his ex-girlfriend made West's skin crawl. Next topic of conversation please!
"The cloaked... thing wazza ghoul underneath," he told Damien and Holly. He thought the fox ghost had been around for that part, maybe Demi too, but he repeated it anyway. "None'uf us did anythin' to'er cus'she was th'only one who knew how t'get outta there. After she stopped killin'us all sh'opened th'door an'we ended up witha bunch of other Amityville students annanother portal an'some guy an'thenna cave and... That'swen th'teachers showed up. I fought but no one died. 'Cept alla us, I guess. It sucked." And that was that. Clearly West would have punched something along the way if he had been given the opportunity.

Tsetsiliya stumbled through the portal as she had done before entering the cove, this time nearly tripping over a small kitsune demon who was currently clinging to someone and sobbing her eyes out. The poludnica blinked dazedly and raised her head to properly scan the crowd. Her eyes widened as she took in the whole of everything.
So many faces. Her heart swelled at the sight of her peers, both at familiar faces and those not so near to her heart. So many happy reunions, tears, laughter, hugs.
It was real. They were here. They were together.
She closed her eyes and soaked it all in. They were safe, thank Jack, they were all together again. For the time being, she kept to the back of the crowd and all of her previously muted emotions rushed out. She let it come, welcomed it, even - and tear after tear slid down her cheeks. It wasn't the frightened bawling she had done earlier in the cornfields, complete with running nose and short breath, but rather.. this felt different.
She was not one to cry, but she was just so terribly relieved. An idle hand reached up to wipe some of the moisture from her eyes but she could not fight the small smile on her lips. A moment to compose and push away any lingering lonelinesses, then to pick through the throng of students to move on towards her dormitory. There would be time aplenty to catch up, but she still needed to get herself together.

Dude, where in JACKS name have all these kids been?!
Seriously?!
How many days had gone by?! TWENTY?! THIRTY?!...okay, so Natalia couldn't quite pinpoint the hours in between her jumping off the boat and the very moment her fiery eyes settled on the mass of heads and tails...so more than likely not even an entire day had gone by...but still! What the heck?! Things around the Academy had been waaaay too quiet, leaving Natalia bored. A little reckless, but mostly bored.
It got to the point where she even began to wonder what would happen if all of those students drowned out at sea. Or were eaten by giant sea animals. Or were attacked by Christmas trees...Jumping off R.A.G.E had not been the brightest idea...
Sure, half of the students in her class were on those boats setting sail for Jack knows where but...Natalia thought (or, rather hoped) that a handful would have snuck back to the academy, or even stayed behind all together! It wouldn't be as much fun as a fieldtrip to the unknown, but the thrill of ducking out on a mandatory event seemed exciting enough. To Natalia. Certainly not to anyone else. Apparently...
The ghoul tapped her slippers on the concrete and held fast to a waist line that was heavily exposed. The tiny, black skinny-strap that hugged her chest was covered only by deep blue hair, which glistened somewhat due to a fresh wash. Despite the hour, Natalia was planning on taking a good long nap, or sleep, whatever ended up happening. It was the only thing she could think of doing since all of her friends had gone off to no man’s land...but as it was, almost every face looked familiar to her, standing around crying and babbling on about some...things the lemur couldn't quite hear from her standing. It actually kind of bothered her now, having marched all the way here to complain to someone about how utterly borrrred she had been and how they should have stayed behind with her to keep her company...but the feelings were still there, however dim, and instead of approaching one kid or the other, the ghoul merely stood in her sleeping attire and spoke out loud to anyone who might be listening.
"Hey, why the long face?"

So, Mac didn't find Charlie.
But what he did find was that he was suddenly in the death grip of a really small, fluffy looking girl with several tails...and she seemed to be crying. A lot. He wasn't sure what to respond to; the fact he was being touched by a stranger, the fact that this stranger was probably some sort of demon, or the fact that this probably-demon stranger looked remarkably breakable. Oh, the dilemma!
"...Uhh...Yeah...?" He said awkwardly, weaseling an arm out of her grasp (augh why do Halloween girls all have super strength wtj she looks so weak aaaa) to pat her head with a rather methodic tap tap tap. "You are too?" It was more of a baffled observation than an actual question.
"Where are your friends? Wouldn't you rather be bothe---errrr hugging them?" Okay, he was torn; she was cute, she was upset, and she just wasn't letting him go. Hopefully she wouldn't bite or anything, and to appease her he kept patting her head...which slowly turned into patting her hair instead.
He just couldn't help it.

It appeared she'd latched on to some poor unsuspecting reaper, sniffling and rubbing her cheek against the side of his jacket pathetically. Small, delicate. Easily breakable? Apparently not as she'd lived forever in the comparison of the whole escapade of falling rocks and s**t dying and blades cutting through people. Oh. It had been horrible.
All over.
However, at the inquiry about her friends, the Kitsune gave the reaper a really pathetic look. It didn't help she had huge eyes to begin with. Made Bambi-eyes even easier to accomplish.
"I can't find them.... ;;;;;. I lost most of them beforewegottothescarypeopleandflkajsdf;lkafsdhf;lk.." she got flustered over the entire ordeal. In the end, it had only been herself and Jove, hadn't it?
Where was Jove? Where was anybody??
;A; She needed to make rounds to check for pulses!!!Fjdfklasdfhas;fkll!!!! Now she was hyperventilating, looking around in panic for anybody she knew. Which may have meant as soon as she spotted someone, she was going to move her deathgrip on to them.

That really pathetic look cut through him even faster than those blades in the cave. Abfilgabugiafubgalijbgwra TRICKY DEMON She was probably an angler. A really, really cute lure with the intent on snacking on his innards.
But damn the lure was adorable and believable and BLOODY JACKIN' MARY~
"ALRIGHT, CALM DOWN!" He hollered, louder than he intended. Sputtering a bit, Mac ruffled his hat in lieu of his hair with his free hand, looking around. He was going to regret this, he was so going to regret this. So Badly. Just. Aaaaa.
"Look, I lost some friends too." He was much quieter this time, and he had stopped patting her hair. "C'mon, lets go look for them, just calm the jack down." It was a very important, stressed point...especially if she was going to insist on clinging to him for much longer.
"You can walk, right?" He hoped she could. He was still pretty sure he was going to regret this soon. Really soon.

SADDEST. FACE. EVER. Tomoko stared up at the Reaper pathetically, ears drooping as much as they possibly could without falling off her head. Staring up at him she seemed to loosen her grip at least a little bit, tails retreating between her feet to the best of their ability (limited amount of room, after all). Apparently, despite all of the other trauma, being yelled at just didn't work out for her.
Sniffle.
"...Ok....." she whimpered pathetically, looking around again before, without permission, grabbing on to one of Mac's hands. Yes. He was going to be trapped with her until she was pandered off on to someone else. It was becoming common fact. If one came down with the case of the Tomokos, the only way to be rid of it was to pass it on to someone else.
But at least she was making a point to look for someone else to be passed on to.

Yeah, he's rather be back on that island right now. That place was better than feeling like he kicked a puppy little kitsune. That wall of 'HATE DEMONS FOREVER' he'd built up was getting smashed to smithereens with this little one. It was already breaking thanks to Charlie and Lizzy, but, damnit.
"I'm sorry!" He gasped out, the first time he'd ever really apologized for his behaviour. "Just...augh. I'm sorry!" 'Justpleasestoplookingatmelikethat', he added mentally. A rather distinct whine of displeasure emitted from him when she grabbed his hand, fighting every single reflex he had to shake her off of him before bolting entirely.
Demonhanddemonhanddemonhanddemonhandaaaaaa
He managed to stay there, but his whole body was stiff as a board. He was a statue, an unhappily uncomfortable statue.
"H-hey! Wouldn't you like a piggyback instead?! Yes, I'm sure you would." Mac started to babble nervously, moving to get on his knees. "You'll be much taller that way and can see your friends better so c'mon how about you let go and get on my back instead that's a much better idea!" Nervous? Mac? Nooooo.

"Ah," he said to Mandy, "that's...good news, actually. I hope."
Barth was quiet for a bit. He thought he might owe Christof an apology, in that case. He hadn't heard back from his phone yet, so he couldn't discount completely... but his entire family?
"Christof," he said, because Christof was still nearby, "I think I hallucinated that you tried to kill me. Sorry about that."

The lump stirred, lifting his miserable head up to blink at his Master hopefully, but... oh... oh no... he had not been paying attention to the discussions milling about him, only snippits of "Fog" and "Hallucinations" and so on drifting past incomprehensibly.
But... but he had tried to kill Barth. That had not been an illusion. That had really happened. If it hadn't been for the demon's thick horns...
The hunchback gave a whine, looking utterly frantic, his face white as he wobbled to his feet. He... he had to get out of here. Riley was still swamped by people who had been worried about her. He needed air. he couldn't breath, and it wasn't because of his disconnected head. He had just been following orders- but they were orders he should have known not to follow. There had been no commanding burn in his chest when his Mistress had instructed him...
But the flames that had engulfed him at the time had felt so real... horrifyingly, depressingly real.
He was going to vomit.

Mandy was having one of those moments. The ones where you understand what's said next could have orotund impact on people. She'd had one on this topic already with Doc and the Demoness. Now it was time to fix another fog misunderstanding.
Barth was now convinced that the undead boil, Christof obviously, had not tried to kill him. Going from Christofs nauseated look he actually had.
"You know. The fog was so strong that it even managed to convince that purple demoness over there, Riley I think, that the best thing to do would be to kill us all. Only way to save us. She was going to start with Doc if we didn't stop her. She was properly horrified afterwards but hey, the fog had her convinced for awhile there."
Not that she'd actually seen this, still talking to Maria when it happened, but she'd had to the details filled in.

Barth was suddenly glad he hadn't gone the same way as Riley. He didn't connect Christof's expression with guilt.
"I don't think I tried to kill anyone." It was unfair, really, that his own psyche placed him squarely in the role of victim. Going on some sort of spree had never even occurred to him. Sprees, he suspected, involved a lot of walking. "...Err, I did give a Reaper a few good whacks. The Reapers were real, weren't they? I mean, they weren't anyone we knew?"

Amrita startled when she heard her voice, spinning around as fast as she could to stare up at Tahki. Wait...Tahki found Charlie?! Brightening, the little Vetala looked around, and spotted the pink haired, fox-eyed Demon standing near her friend.
What was left of her bottom lip wibbled.
Charlie was here!
"CHARLIE! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Amrita cried out happily, shuffling towards her Demon friend to hug him tight, despite all of her general reservations in regards to personal space and being rude. "P-Petro said you died andthatisterrible but you're alive I'm so happy!" Hard Head was being a big softy, apparently.

Comfort, found in the close knit embrace of her two companions, brought her enough sense to worry about those close to her who she hadn't seen yet. Her head snapped up, one eyebrow cocked as she came to think of it.
Have either of you seen Christof? She mused aloud, letting the two go so she could turn her head and look around. In the jumble of students, she couldn't find the patchwork anywhere. She tried looking for Barth as well, but saw nothing of him. I think I'm going to go look for him. I'd hate to think what that place has done to him. She turned back to the two, leaning up to bury her head in Jericho's neck while hugging him. She let him go, and both of her arms wrapped around Malodore to pull it closer. You should probably come too, if he's distressed he'd feel better seeing you. She whispered to her plague doctor, and bumped her face gently against his beak before letting him go. She would leave the decision to follow up to it, however - in case Malodore decided otherwise for it's own reasons.
Wandering through the crowd, she spotted several more familiar faces - and gave out several more unnatural, and yet completely necessary hugs. Still, she hadn't seen Christof and those around him settled in the corner behind her. It didn't matter, she could feel his mind even now.
Christof? Where are you? She emitted carefully.
