. biggrin raven Grask:. Draven is setting his things in order when Mokuzai ushers the others in and enters with Shizuka at his side. The whole aspect of how she was around him amused him to an extent, kind of like how he remembered Hana being around Gerard. But his interest is peeked when he see's the expression on her face as she stared blankly at Mozukai... "Miss Shizuka is there something the matter?" He asked with a matched sound of empathy in his voice.

Mokuzai sat at the desk, pulled the book from his coat and set it upon the table. He pulled out the spectacles and put them on his face. the magic in the glassed buzzed around his ears. as he looked at the open text his heart sank, the words reshaped themselves, but this time into a more nonsensical, albeit smaller passage:
"I must devour Her."
Mokuzai frowned.
"Not what I expected, here, take a look, it says 'I must devour Her' "Her" is capitalized. This language is really something, being able to hold this many emotions and dark passages."
Mokuzai heard Draven comment to Shizuka. He turned and looked at Draven. After the way Shizuka and Mokuzai had been acting, there was no hiding their affection, so Mokuzai had no qualms about telling Draven.
"Shizuka and I are very happy to see each other after such a long time, and the emotions are getting the better of both of us I think, nothing to worry about."

Shizuka's anticipation sank as Mokuzai removed the glasses and explained what the book had read. It was a disturbing passage to say the least. The capitalization of 'Her' must mean something. She didn't want to jump to conclusions, the book could be the ramblings of some barbaric necromancer for all they knew. But why would 'Her' be capitalized if that were the case?
Shizuka was caught off guard by Draven's query, and she shook her head far more forcefully than was necessary. When Mokuzai commented on their emotions getting the better of them, Shizuka blushed furiously and hid her silly smile behind her sleeve.

. biggrin raven Grask:. Draven shrugged his shoulders slightly.. "Well it is nice to go from plane to plane and finally have something to return to at least. Last time I tried to visit home I got diverted to a sliver hive right in the queens chambers...and that right there was awkward." He chuckles as he finishes the sentence to further emphasize the luridness he recalls about that moment. Standing up he looks down his nose at the book and pops a question.. "HER?... Could it mean something else entirely? It could be referring to a name or place for all we know." He bends down and starts writing on a long piece of parchment, taking a pen and poking his left hand for ink. But as he writes, Draven looks up from the paper and see's a small map of there section of the city. It has circled area's and well drawn boarders for districts but he is only interested in one resolving to place a finger on it. "Mokuzai.. what is this place that has Gorgon guild house written on it?

Mokuzai was deep in thought over the mysterious passage. When Draven asked his query, Mokuzai had to think for a second.
"That is an old map, used before the breaking of the Guildpact. I assume the Izzet were trying to chart the growth of the Golgari. This spot you are pointing at is Svogthos. it was a tomb that housed Svogthir's head. I do not concern myself with the Golgari much, so I don't know if it is still there."
upon seeing the confusion of their faces, mokuzai continued.
"Svogthos was a building once. Now it's alive and moves around."

. biggrin raven Grask:. Draven tilts his head at the thought.. "Thats strange, guess I just set up residents in one of the former spires for the tomb. No wonder I pulled one of these off a body in the tower." Draven produces a guild signet from his pouch and flips it like a large coin. "I must give them credit however, that place was chocked full with materials that I can use. I even thought of adding a forge in one of the side wings. But that will be for another time.." He places the item on the table next to his paper and gently slides the book slightly closer to him inspecting the book itself. "I do have another wonder, what kind of material is this book made from. It certainly doesn't look as old as it should be, even enchanted books do show some type of age."

Mokuzai pondered what Draven said.
"I agree, it may be a spell upon the book itself that is preventing the text from being translated."
Mokuzai placed his hat upon the desk and walked to where the quill and ink were kept.
"I think I will copy the actual text onto a different leaf. Perhaps then it can be translated."
Mokuzai sat the quill and ink upon the desk.
"In the worst case, then we will at least have a copy, should outside sources be required to translate it."
Mokuzai knew exactly who would be required, should this fail. He didn't want it do come to that.

. biggrin raven Grask:. Draven leans over the table and slides his spell book over, the book itself was ludicrously large and appeared to be quite heavy. It was apparent that he was using it for more then just spell work. "We are getting close to something that would be considered life changing.. well.. if our spark had never awakened, then it would be." He takes the piece of parchment and holds it to next to one of the black pages, then a unseen force pulls the papers edge into the spine of the book and seats it between the other pages. "To think, one can carry so much knowledge around and it isn't even in there head." He thumbs through pages, passing everything from schematics to spells of multiple origins.

Arihelia Arihelia listened at what her companions were saying, she
followed them to the study were she marveled at the place, she was not as
experienced or as knowledgeable as them, so she stood there watching and
letting them proceed about what they should do about the book and how to
translate it.

. biggrin raven Grask:. Draven takes his book, closing it and setting it back inside his bag. Returning to his open scroll he continues his writing and printing copying a few lines of text for himself. He raises and looks at Mokuzai for a moment.. "You wouldn't know where I can get my hands on a white mana crystal do you. Possible the size of your fist and pure as it can be made.? He ask with a calm look in his face, as he produces one of black mana from his bag. "I have only been able to make a few. This and two others where all I could manage, but I still need one of white and red."

Mokuzai sat down upon the chair and began copying the text. When Draven asked about mana batteries Mokuzai shook his head.
"I know that the Izzet used artifacts to transport and store mana, but if any are left here I haven't found them. I can assume mana batteries would be a precious commodity to an Izzet mage. I'm sure they would have taken them when they abandoned this building."
In any case, the hour is late and I believe we have work to do tomorrow. I will continue copying the text. It will take some time.
