Sin was startled at first and for a moment she tensed and then she hugged Rosc back because after all she had been through that was what she wanted to do. For a second she didn't even care how it would look to anyone else, she just snuggled up against him. He had missed her, and wow did that mean a lot right now. It made her feel warm and fuzzy inside, which didn't much help the cold and wet feeling she had outside, but it would do. She rearranged her knapsack onto her shoulder and looked up at him with a slight smile.
"I'm really glad to see you...I miss you too." It was hard to admit it, but she had thought of him even with the giant squid attacks, the laser fish fights, and trying to please Cloak. She pushed her hair back and looked around the tent.
"Whats going on, there's no professors here either? Who was that guy who vanished?" She had a million questions, sadly for her Rosc probably wouldn't have that many answers.

They stayed like that for a moment, until she asked him what had just happened. It reminded him of what the figure had said and he pulled back to look down at her and take her hand.
"No professors and I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think it's really safe here," he said, glancing around at the other students who were still around them. It probably looked like he was worried about the other students, that it wasn't safe in his mind because they were there. He would explain that it wasn't safe for them to stay at the "base camp," that there were others on the island who were in opposition to them.

Getting away was probably the best first thing to do, though.
But he also knew she would be missing her friends. She might go with him once he told her about the possible danger, but she'd probably also worry about Alcie.
"Have you seen your friends?" he asked, setting his things down so that he could remove his coat and wrap it around Sin. It was still pretty damp, but it would do better to keep her warm than that gown she was wearing. He retrieved his things from the ground and took a step out of the tent, looking back at her in a fashion that asked her to follow.

Sin frowned, no safe? No professors? She didn't like the sound of that one bit, nor the uneasy way Rosc looked around. She huddled under his coat and smiled gratefully at him for it pulling it close. It was still a bit damp but far warmer then the wet satin that clung to her. Then she frowned and shook her head looking around again worried.

"No I haven't seen Alcie or Vivi, the boat crashed and...I'm worried about them." Then Rosc was gathering things and moving. He seemed to want her to follow, she grabbed her things and stood uncertainly for a moment. She wanted to find her friends, but they weren't here and if it wasn't safe here there was no point hanging around. Besides there wasn't really anyone else she could think to want more at her side then Rosc at this moment. He would help her find her friends, and then they could all figure out how to get home...and never go on another field trip again. She quickly moved to follow him out of the tent...

Darn Shadow should have said the first step was a doozy, nope, not one ounce of a warning. he didn't seem like the type to tell him that anyways to begin with. At least the portal ride was nice and smooth, until the sudden landing. It didn't gently push you out of the portal, but launched you about a foot away from it. Thankfully, giant paws were good for sticking dismounts and his paws found the soft, sandy ground and didn't let it go out from under him. It was such a strange sight, to see a beach with its white sand and azure shores, so dark as if a storm could fall upon the place in an instant.

"Now I can see why the campus was so deserted." everyone was here, more or less, with people grouping together to explore the wilderness outside the camp. Was this a planned excursion? Maybe he could contact his home with his phone- Oh Jack. his luggage wasn't with him. no supplies of his own. No knowledge of the area and no way out, which he gathered from trying to pass his arm back through the portal. "Stuck, eh?" it was getting better and better by the second.
What a way to start off my school year.

(( HI I'M POSTING THIS FOR HUNI IF THIS IS A PROBLEM LET ME KNOW <33 ))

"Naw, didn't sign up. 'S this where y' all were headed for?" Petro asked, not knowing they had been shipwrecked. He stood guard over the unconscious Maritess while Lizzy went off to greet Jericho and Amrita. Alerted by another familiar voice, the tikbalang turned towards the direction he'd heard Sepheran. At first he offered a smile, as the boil's attention seemed taken in by Lizzy.

More students were gathering, and he managed to overhear that they would need to gather supplies? Huh. Maybe he ought to get some himself. After the half-naked boil took a blunt mace along with a brown knapsack, he turned to greet Mac with a nod, remembering him from Jericho's room when the dragon boil was giving away the kobold eggs. After eyeing the wooden bat the reaper was carrying, he asked with a cant of his head, "Why're y' all wet?"

Of course it just now dawns on Petro that most of the students were soaking. Did they all go swimming in the sea?

As Israfel inspected the contents of his bag, he noticed a sort of..procession. With Riley.

Maybe it was the fact it was Riley, maybe it was the fact he had nothing else to do, no one to give him much guidance.

Or maybe it was just that bird mentality.

Flock and all.

Honestly, Rosc thought Sin pulling his coat around her was adorable, but he thought better to say anything about it. Things were serious right now and he needed some sort of focus.

Of course she was worried. He should probably tell her they were alright, that they would find her friends, sometime. But the words caught in his throat. He shouldn't tell her something that could turn out to be a lie. It would be reassuring, but for how long?
So, instead, he gave her his best attempt at a sympathetic look and a small nod. At the very least they could try to find her friends.
He shouldered his bag, slipped his free hand into Sin's, and led her away from the tent.

((And that's it for Rosc. Off to PRPs!))

"I'd rather be wet." Mac grumbled to Lizzy, murmuring something under his breath about Demon Cooties, trying to get him; come to think of it, Arachne still had his extra jacket...well, damn. He was down to one again, it seemed.

"We've met." Mac said, casting a smile at Jericho. Yes, he still had to give the boil a couple of those gaming systems he had back in his room! "Everyone else, Hey." Oh good, a bunch of not-demons! Lizzy had good choice in friends! If he had anything else to say, it was surpressed with a shudder from the burst of air due to Jericho's take off, wrapping his arms around himself while hugging the wooden bat to his chest. Pride was, apparently, getting in the way.

---

"Hi, Mac." Amrita murmured, getting back to her backwards feet and letting Lizzy guide her towards Tess. The Demoness received a tight hug and a nuzzle before she sat herself down near her severed friend, patting the unconscious girl's hair.

"I will! J-just, be careful! I'll...I'll stay right here!" She looked determined to not move, certainly.

---

Meanwhile, Mac just stared at the mostly naked boil. Not a look of bafflement over the lack of clothing, but more a stare of 'seriously?!'. How...how could he not know why he was wet? Why?

"Ship crashed." He offered in a grumbling voice, with another shiver. Turning to Lizzy, he called out to her.

"Are you done? Can we go now?"

((Profile is Rosie, four needed posts gotten ages ago! exclaim Zoo is done up to here ))

Mandy had been below deck still nursing her head after having been thrown by the squids attack on the ship when the commotion had started. It had started as a rather ominous creak and shouting drifting down to from above deck about fog when all of a sudden the girls dorm exploded. Giving a rather girly scream she barely had time to take a breath before the ocean swept through the cabin to meet her. Frantically flailing in the water she tried to make out which was out of the obviously sinking boat among the carnage of wood and personal items floating around her.

Her vision had started to go grey around the edges, lungs burning, before she finally managed to find the surface again. Gasping desperately she kicked as hard as she could to keep afloat, eyes rolling as she looked for anything to cling to. Spotting a piece of wood she managed to paddle over to it and start clinging tight, conserving energy by letting it hold her afloat.

Jack. She knew how to swim and wasn’t afraid of water but this was so different to the rivers and lakes at home! They had bottoms you could safely rest upon and still reach the surface with no trouble! But here… who knew how far she’d fall.

All though she’d never, ever, admit it in a million years these thoughts caused Mandy to let out a slight whimper, her body starting to shake; whether from cold or fear she didn’t know.

And so Mandy drifted through the thick fog for what felt like forever, her only companion the occasional rock looming menacingly out from the fog. Closing her eyes she rested her head upon the wood, she was just conserving strength, really! She knew better than to fall asleep out here. Still, her head and lungs hurt and the sound of the water was kind of soothing once she got over the depth it went….

SPLASH!

Gah? Jerking up Mandy snapped her head around her, suddenly alert. It looked like her piece of wood had finally caught on rocks, no worries she’d just kick fre- OH THANK JACK WAS THAT LAND?

Abandoning her faithful piece of ship she took off at a desperate pace towards the sliver of shore she could see. Her lungs began to burn again and her arms hurt but blessedly soon her toes dug into land beneath her and with a happy cry she stumbled the rest of her way to relatively dry sand before flopping down panting. Sweet, sweet, solid land.

Lying there she simple took the time to revel in this fact before reality started to creep in again. Shivers ran up and down her as her wet pyjamas chilled, the fog still thick preventing them from drying. Soon she began to softly sneeze and decided it was time to look around, this was an island so maybe it was their destination and she could find towels and a change of clothes? She didn’t want to be stuck in her pyjamas for too long – though it was better than what she had been wearing normally on the boat – being in a soaking wet white shirt would have been horrifying.

The concept of dry and possibly warm spurring her on, along with the half formed idea of the others being here (Alwine!! Was she ok? Ghosts couldn’t drown right?), she hauled herself up and picked a random direction to walk until anything caught her eye. Eventually a blue glow caught her eye and on the hope it meant safety instead of danger she changed course towards it.

Leading her to walk straight into a tent. Blinking in surprise she briefly mourned just how bad this fog was making her already shoddy eyesight and the fact that water log ears + salt up the nose = bad senses. Things really weren’t going in her favour there. Oh well! Tent possibly meant teachers or gnomes she could harass! Practically skipping inside she halted, visibly drooping.

Bags, various items and flipped tables? T-this wasn’t towels and spare clothes. Sniffing slightly as another sneeze tried to come up on her she decided to grab a bag and a wooden bat anyway; this was probably the supplies tent so best pick up supplies.

Slightly more downtrodden again she made her way out of the tent and squinted out into the fog.

…What now?

Go out on her own and wish for the best or stay here and hope people found it as well? The loneliness of this place was starting to get to her. Well, she supposed she best at least call out to see if the others where nearby and just obscured; hopefully no enemy’s heard her instead.

“Hello….?”

Watching Amrita settle down with Tess, she then turned to Petro with a frown, visibly worried, "We weren't told of our destination, but yes - seeing how we all crashed here... This should be it. Ugh, that reaper just now... Nothing makes sense, but like I told Jericho, I think whoever attacked the school a while back might be here. Meanwhile, I'm going to take a look around the island... Coming?" She moved to her luggage, throwing on a jacket before pulling out a towel and draping it over Mac's shoulders with a frown.

"Don't be stubborn," Her frown deepened as she tugged at the sleeve of his jacket, "And take this off... Leave it by the bonfire to dry. I can't risk you falling ill..." The word 'bonfire' was said in a whisper; Amrita and Tess had been traumatized enough! They do not need to know that their worst fear was nearby. Without waiting for a reply in a use-that-towel-please sort of way, Lizzy moved to collect a bag, picking up an old wooden bat - just in case.

"Let's go."

Mac visibly tensed when Mandy's voice cut through the fog.

That voice. He knew that voice!

Worse, he lost track of the very thing that particular voice threatened to kill him over! Oh Jack, Jack jack jack! It was so traumatizing that Mac had nothing terrible or contrary to say to Lizzy, and instead hugged the towel around his shoulders for now.

"No way man, I'm keeping the coat with me, but let's go!" He urged, trying to distance himself from the she-bear that no doubt wanted his guts.

(( I'm going to bed now, but Mac will be following Lizzy! Rosie, feel free to have Mandy hunt him down 8D ))

After a few minutes of useless pondering, Damien decided to talk a walk around the base camp, learn the immediate area and gather a bit of information. Its not his fault if the other student's speak so loudly, right? There was a lot of confusion and people scattered about. Didn't seem like they came in from the portal like he did. Not with all this splintered wood around. There were plank upon planks of banged up wood in the waters and....

Was that a table sitting out there in the ocean? He couldn't explain it, but he had the strangest sensation to just knock it over. Just one little push right? So with a few steps and up to his ankles in water, he kicked the lone table on its side, with a nice sounding splash to go along with its fall. That felt good. Real good.

"What the heck happened to you guys anyways?" He couldn't help but to ask that aloud, it was just incredibly odd.

Sepheran smiled nodding lightly when Lizzy spoke about being glad he and Liannan were safe. "I'm glad to hear your voices as well, I would hate to have to hear about any of you being hurt badly...though what about Tess...?" Sepheran questioned pausing a moment having heard her name mentioned but haven't heard a peep of her voice. He hoped she hadn't been harmed. Liannan hissed lightly making him frown a bit.

It seemed someone had taken Tess and settled down with her, something had happened it seemed and she wasn't fit to go very far. Well...at least this area seemed safe. "Tess..." he said softly in a worried fashion having made a small connection with the ghoul during the Scarentine dance.

Hearing Lizzy speak of leaving he turned back. He nodded in greetings as the others were introduced. "Let me come with you...if there is anything out there I'd rather fend them off then have them get close to this place. It seems fairly safe here though..." he murmured lightly before walking back to Lizzy and the small group off to explore the area. Holding onto his wooden toy sword he nodded and readied himself to follow.

((Following Lizzy's group!))

And then like magic a voice drifted out of the fog.

And it was that boils
~

The boil who would most definitely have her Alwine with him. Because he wouldn't have been so silly as to loose her. Not after Mandy had done her job so well.

With a pathetically hopeful look on her face she drifted off after the group, following the voices she could now hear clearly.

Alwine.

The demon ghoul wasn't sure what happened. One minuted everyone was out on the deck trying to fend off that (seriously aggravating) jackdammed squid, next minute it had exploded into goop and now they were just...somewhere.

What was going ON in this crazy school?

She looked around, noticing there was a train of other dazed and confused students. Viveca decided to follow them, which took her right up to a strange tent. Everyone else seemed to be taking the items on the tables, so shruggingly, she picked one up as well.

From the first table she grabbed the brown knapsack, then after a moments hesitation (teetering between the bat, wooden sword, and sword hilt) she finally picked up an old wooden bat[/b

Well. She certainly felt armed for whatever this strange island was about to throw at them.

HAH. Not.
