Savior stopped in her tracks at the sound of a whistle coming from her right, the hollow tone and rather high resonance enough to tell the Marrowstripe that she was dealing with a male of her kind. Instantly her nerves prickled upward and she turned on her heels to face the sound, eyes narrowing against the fog and clear lack of visibility. " . . . . . " A thin hiss escaped from beneath her mask as her jaws shifted and prepared themselves, their muscles moving without Savior even having to think about what needed to be done.
She started her movement against towards the sound, her steps causing her body to sway as she walked while her arms hung down at her sides. This would have been so much easier for her if she could smell where she'd been, smell where he was, but all she could go on was faint traces of sound. The weapon she'd had with her bag was still wherever her bag was but Savior was fairly confident she didn't whatever it was she'd grabbed in order to fight; Marrowstripes were built for combat.
It didn't take her long before the sound-source came into foggy view and Savior cracked her knuckles, unknowingly alerting her foe to her presence. Hindsight, really.

Chasing himself in a fog bank wasn't the smartest idea Damien ever had, but really how many options did he have? Just stand there and wait to be attacked? Yeah, NO. He was silly, but he wasn't stupid. at least he hoped so. The fog was merciless in its cover, as he peered at the ground in front of him since he couldn't look out very far. No tracks, not even a scrape of a footprint to see where his doppelganger went. "Well isn't this fun?" he bitterly remarked to himself., cursing his bad luck, was there a black cat somewhere nearby?
There was a popping sound that wasn't too far away from his left. His ears were keen on the sound as they tilted in its direction and he stopped his movement, holding his breath and turning slowly. Did his luck turn for the better, was that where he was? Damien was immersed in confidence, after finally locating him in the fog after the long game of cat and mouse. It was time for this demon dog to pounce on the cat.
he crouched low to the ground, his pipe at the ready in his grasp as he circled around the prey. the silhouette still murky but there nonetheless. "I've got you now shadow." he whispered out, a feral smile on his face. he could take this, no problem, he could get the first strike, or go down trying. And without warning he pounced out of the fog's embrace to pummel his opponent down.
"Lay down and die!"

It didn't take long for Savior to be overwhelmed as the male Marrowstripe came and pushed against her, knocking the monster down and onto the ground. She was effectively pinned beneath him with her shoulders being held in place and her legs unable to give her enough wriggling room. Savior let out a low roar of warning at the situation, an attempt to show this male that she was indeed a female and his chances at success were very, very low; of course she didn't realize that she wasn't fighting a Marrowstripe at all, but rather in contact with a terrified fellow student.
Same difference.
Savior's instincts started to kick in the moment after she hit the ground and the Marrowstripe lurched her body upwards and into her captor, knocking him slightly off balance enough that she could get her right arm free. With surprising accuracy considering she could barely see her foe she delivered a hard thrust to the underside of his chin with her palm, waiting for the sound of a neck cracking to see if the job had been done right. When none came she was content to find that she was now free and she scrambled back up to her feet, eyes on her prize.

It was solid. Solid! Oh he was giddy for finding his enemy and was practically salivating to tear into him. It didn't even register that the person felt smaller and had a rough quality to its skin. It was HIM. And it was fighting back. That's good enough
He never knew that the girl he met earlier clone had such strength as it practically grabbed him by the neck and shoved him aside. His weapon was knocked away during the struggle on the floor, rolling away to rest near a few bits of papers and the fight or flight response kicked in. And he chose fight.
It took him a moment to regain his bearings, but he got himself into a crouching position, growling deep in his throat and his ears were pointed to the sky. He wasn't ready to let his prey get away and gave it a warning by batting its paw in front of the clones face. "Give it your best shot, faker!" he barked out at it before sending a kick to the midsection, trying to get it to double over to set up another attack.
If only his eyes weren't clouded by the fog, he would have seen it was a student and not the fog and the powers that be playing a trick on him.

Mei's gesture was enough to make Bul feel a hell of a lot better despite his immense physical pain. Limping along the town path he tried not to rely too much on her lest he become a really unorthodox weight to carry. All this time he hadn't realized that their stuff had gone missing. All he had was well.. the sheet that he took from the abandoned house. ((Is this okay? >8 Since it has no mystery relevance..)) That was it. Didn't he just have a flashlight? And the pendant... how did that just disappear?
The town was quiet... deathly quiet and in the white noise Bul could swore he heard more voices.. whispers and giggles around them in the buildings. "Mei.. Mei they're around again.." he sputtered, almost whimpering. There was no way he could take another beating- the sudden appearance of voices had marked his battle before hand. He tried to stand on his own as they neared the circle he had originally drawn when all of a sudden he was shoved to the ground, face first into the dirt. "Ow, Mei seriously?" he asked but when he looked up he didn't see just Mei, he also saw himself?
"Huh? Mei... Mei lookout he's-" Bul winced his face meeting the dirt again, the dust getting into his cuts.
'Bul' had shoved 'Mei' down onto the dirt next to him and started wailing on the two of them together with his pipe.
"Ahh! NO! STOPAAHH!" Bul wailed and barely opened his eyes to see everything had gone red from the 'blood' pouring over his face. Behind him his tail whipped and thrashed around like he was having some sort of seizure.
"SHIBIDEE YAY HA SHIBIDEE YAY HAAA!" roared the Bul illusion, laughing wildly as he smashed illusion Mei's skull in, the pieces of her 'skin' scattering everywhere. "You're next you're next!! Batter up!" He shrieked and took the bat to Bul's head.
It was then that Bul suddenly blacked out on the ground, his tail reduced to a quiver and his eyes shut. Everything he had seen he assumed to be real. In his out state the world around him became a full-on dream. Whining to himself the whole time, Bul had tangled himself up in the sheet he had brought along.
"Bul.... Buuuuuuul.... Unstabul?" Was it Mei?
"Yea... what is it?" Bul answered grouchily. "I'm kinda -hic- Busy, what the hell do you want?"
"I just... I wanted to know if you wanted to go to the Scarentine Party I heard you didn't get bid on but... if you're gonna be like that..."
"Hmph. The Scarentine Party is a -hic- a joke..."
"But you were so upset..."
"Yeah? -Hic- So what if I was, it's not like I care anymore.." he replied and snorted. "Will you just go away... I don't need your help. I can't trust you anyway, I don't even know who you are."
"Of course you know who I am... what is the matter with you are you drunk?"
"No... maybe... haha... what -hic- ever." Bul lurched from his bed when the figure came bursting into the room, her eyes were a dull glowing yellow.
"Bul you're a fool to not trust me. I am but a wonderful friend and I can help you. There's an island where you'll be all alone and you'll want my help Bul. You can trust me. No, you WILL trust me. You can't trust her, you WON'T trust her. She will take you to a place where they'll kill you, they'll kill you and wear your skull around like a trophy."
"You're... you're just plain crazy, -hic- you know that?" Bul then started to laugh when the figure began to corner him. "What are you gonna do, beat me up and never let me go? Fine, that's all fine by me, I don't want to leave my room. I don't care about some... some -hic- dance or being with my friends, all that s**t is just a big joke. No need to go to some island... I'd prefer to die. Right. Here."

Back on her feet and prepared for action, Savior wasn't entirely ready to feel a foot come into contact with her side. A gasp escaped from beneath her mask, soon followed by a dull growl, and Savior reached out with her hands until her fingers managed to come upon flesh. It certainly was helpful that her rival Marrowstripe seemed so keen to keep on talking and give away his position, causing some wonder in the monster's mind that she wasn't just fighting a hatchling. It didn't really matter though as her hands fully made contact and she pushed her opponent back, preparing an attack of her own.
It was with a swift motion that she swung her leg around and lifted it high, copying a move she'd seen some students doing at the school not too long ago. She was rewarded for her blind effort when the heel of her foot contacted with something hard, something warm, and she lowered her leg back down before preparing to strike again. There was no need for conversation, she was going to render this Marrowstripe immobile and then eat him.
Plain and simple.

The thrill of the kill was so strong, it was intoxicating. He wanted to feel the flesh rip off his clone’s bones. Just to sink his teeth into it and gnaw. This was strange considering that in the back of his mind he should realize that it was supposed to be himself. But did it really matter?
It should, like how he should have smelled that intoxicating citrus smell by now. But he didn't, He smelled sandalwood and mint. This was good enough for him. It was himself. But before he had the chance to throw an elbow, he was roughly shoved away, struggling to find a solid stance, he turned his attention back to his opponent. And was met with a foot sailing through the foggy sky toward his forehead. Stars, such maniacally pretty stars being chased by an overzealous puppy. Everything else became very hazy, or was it less hazy than before as his body slumped to the ground, refusing to take anymore commands from his shock addled brain. What just hit him?
Well that was easy, it was a foot. And thankfully it wasn't his. There was no cocky smirking devil dog in front of him, but a sandy skinned female. The smell of citrus was so potent, to make one believe that there was an orchard hidden behind the fog. But it was coming from her. Sweet merciful Jack, she didn't look like she was doing this out of self defense. She was in it for the kill. And he had to move away, now. You hear that limbs? MOVE!
He tried to get his arms to support his weight to get up. But they just sat there like limp noodles, doing nothing to aid in his survival. But his legs could still move, and he frantically kicked and bucked to get some distance between them, but which way could be go? Up was down, and left was right after what he could guess would be a concussion. He could only stare wide eyed into the eyes of a predator. Eyes he might never forget. Sweet Jack, Help me! at least his mouth still worked. However this was an abandoned town, and that meant there wasn't people normally around. With his death imminent, he could knock himself off the list too.

By the time they had exited the building, Mei felt as the though she had regained a bit of her sanity. Things had gone ape s**t inside, and she was grateful to be rid of that place. However, they were still a long cry from being clear of any further problems. The fog still cloaked the town, preventing her from spotting anyone else who may have arrived at the town. For now, they would just have to walk blindly, and stick to the path.
Turning her attention towards Bul as he spoke, her eye's scanned the area for the 'they' he spoke of. "I don't see anything Bul, are you sure?" Not again. Last thing she needed was more insanity. "What?" She asked, bewildered. Did he step on something? But why would he blame her for that? "Look out? Look out for what? There's no one here, Bul!" A little frantic now, "What is it?" Feeling his full weight as he slipped into an unconscious state, she helped him to the ground. "Bul? BUL! Wake up! What happened to you!?"
Repeatedly shaking him, she soon froze completely. Blood. Lots.. lots of.. blood. Her eye widened as she stared down at his limp body laying in an abnormally large pool of blood. "B-Bul..?" Hands shaking, she placed one on his arm, in hopes that he would wake up. "H-hey, stop fooling around." Quickly pulling her hand away, she watched in horror as his arm tore from the joint, landing on the ground beside him. Hands instantly moving to her mouth, she let out a blood curdling scream; finally became victim to the hallucinations.

Running away was not an option for the prey of a Marrowstripe since running away meant that the opponent was still alive and therefore the threat still existed. Savior released another low growl as the rival continued to whistle and call for back-up (or so she assumed) and the monster wasn't going to have it. She certainly could handle two or three males without problem but she wasn't certain how many she could handle while trying to find and protect West.
"No." For the first time since she started this escapade and battle Savior started to speak. She made a strong lunge towards the figure as it moved out of her sight and landed on it with quite a bit of force, likely knocking all the air from its lungs and rendering it immobile. It didn't occur to the Marrowstripe that this offender didn't have a strong scent like she did, that they didn't feel sandy beneath her touch despite them looking every inch like they should. All that mattered was that she was going to render it immobile and then eat it, if only to protect those she cared for. "End."
The Marrowstripe lifted up on of the opponent's arms and started to bend it backwards, ready to break it off to make eating her victim all that much easier. . .

"You ok, man?
The question struck Elaphe like a cattle prod to the rear and he immediately straightened his back, the desperation to right himself renewed as, with clear uncertainty, he rebounded back to his feet. The fog had grown thick again with alarming speed, and for a few heart-stopping seconds, he'd lost sight of the others, flashlights and all.... yet just as quickly as it had descended, the veil was suddenly gone again, and there they all were. Seiji, Junko, Tomoko. All were accounted for, with a fourth (injured?) boy in tow, yet...
They seemed more frightened than before-- all of them. That couldn't be a good sign.
"I-I'm fine!" the boy spluttered as soon as he could find his voice, perhaps too loudly, thanks to his shot hearing. Still, he made a swift, exaggerated effort to brush himself off, willing his hands not to tremble as he adjusted his knapsack, making sure the turtle was at least still in one piece despite its tired flapping before he seemed placated. "Just... fine..."
There was no snapping or grousing that followed, just a dragging silence as Elaphe held his tongue, and seemed to resign himself to the fateful "rejoining" without another word. Maybe... maybe the company would keep those apparitions away. He could hope. He did hope.
Stay on your toes, he warned himself mentally, or at least, he thought he did, at first. You know they're just waiting for the right moment...
Yet rather than eyeing the fog, he found himself staring into a grey ghost's back with mounting nerves, and it was all the boy could do to shove his shaking, twitching hands in his pocket and swallow down a whimper.
This was going to be a long, and increasingly miserable night.

(( Mini-profile. )) Despite the influence of the voices, Aurian had still been planning to approach Damien. She was sure there would be some way for him to prove he was real, to show those voices and Aruian herself that there was nothing to be worried about. However, she'd only taken her first step in the thick fog when she realised that the weight that had kept her slightly off-balance for the island journey so far was missing. She was perfectly balanced - and her bag was gone. Aurian panicked. Her supplies were in there! The flightlight, the strange map fragment she'd found in the fog... Thankfully her weapon was still in her hand, but she wanted the security of the flashlight, even if there wasn't anything it could do to help in the fog. She turned and stumbled back the way she'd came, inching closer to the ground as she moved. Eventually she was on hands and knees searching for the bag. For some reason, it seemed vitally important to get it back and she was nearly sobbing by the time she found it again. Its contents were spilt out onto the dirt, and she was too busy wiping away her tears and scooping them back into the bag to notice that there were extra map pieces going in. What good are they going to do you? one of the voices demanded. "Shut up!" Aurian cried, rubbing the back of her glove over her eyes. Awww, little crybaby, you scared? You should be. Lots of monsters out there in the fog. They're coming for you. Maybe you look tasty to them?A disembodied giggle echoed around her. Aurian pressed her hands to her ears. "Shut up, shut up, shut up! You're lying!" Am not, the original voice said. It if had belonged to a body it would have been pouting. You'll see the proof soon. The monsters have glowing yellow eyes. None of your friends did, right?"No, no they didn't," the Reaper said after a moment's consideration. She felt the first trickle of relief. That was easy. When she found her friends again and their eyes were normal, she'd know they were real and she was safe. That the voices were wrong. Uh oh, don't look over there...Reverse psychology. Of course Aurian glanced around wildly as the voice faded away. "Where? Don't look where?" Out in the fog, two glowing yellow dots appeared. Aurian's breath hitched. Tighting her grip on her metal pipe, she fed it some Fear and held it in front of her as a warning to whatever was coming.

The wrath demon took a few steps forward, only to have the Holly-shape dissipate once more. In her place, a dull red glow lit the fog, emanating from something that rested on the ground. West grabbed his lost bat and continued moving. The sudden appearance of Holly in the middle of a vision of his past had the temporary effect of shaking West awake, and now he was on a mission, however temporarily. He dimly realized there were others lost along this path: Savior, Holly, that new ghoul Aurian, even Damien. He was going to find them all and they were all going to get the hell out of here.
Through the laughter and occasional muffled sobbing that plagued him, West thought he heard a cry for help, a real one, and he turned toward it, taking off in that direction a moment later. Next he heard a scuffle, the sounds of fists and feet meeting yielding flesh. He kept running, slowing to a jog when he smelled the sharp bite of citrus.
"Savior?" He saw them then, dim shapes struggling on the ground, far more substantial than Holly's silhouette had been. The Marrowstripe had some boil's arm pulled back in what looked like a very uncomfortable position, and while normally that would have been awesome, when Savior was involved that very same awesomeness probably meant death. West really didn't want to get expelled from Amityville for standing by while another student was killed.
He didn't actually know what would happen if he attempted to make her stop, but he supposed... reluctantly... that he had to try.
"Savior!" he said, trying to put as much authority behind his voice as he could. "Don't... uh... end." Well, so much for that. He stepped closer, raising his bat, just in case.

Holly was on the ground. Why? She sat up and realized something. Her bag was gone? The bag she hadn't been using was just missing. What were those voices she heard earlier. The ghoul stood up. Where was everyone? Savior and West had been here just a moment ago and were right next to her. She heard a voice. Wait, was that. "West?" She thought she'd heard her name, guess not.
She took a few steps, still shaken. Her foot hit something. A flashlight? Further down the path lay her map piece. And another?
Wait, didn't she only have one? This was odd.
Having regained her bag and items she stood up straight and a high-pitched giggle could be heard from down the path. What the Jack was that? Eyes glowed barely noticed from further down the path. Again her head hurt. Holly ran towards the noise and was surprised by what she saw.
"West? Savior?" And that other boil they'd discovered. Two of them were fighting. Was this all not real too?

Bul had yet to get up but seemed to start mumbling in his state. Something along the lines of- 'shi... shibiddy.... ha..." Hungry... tired... weak. All that he could do was lay there in a heap until the voices disappeared and someone came to take him back to camp. But none of that was going to happen.
"Listen up Bul."
"Huh?" What happened to the-
"Not important. You ain't gonna die out here, that's bullshit man. You're gonna get up and you're gonna get together all your s**t and then you and Mei are gonna get the hell outta there."
"No they are not.. Bul is going to stay here... with me. And we are going to go to the Scarentine Dance together."
"How the hell you gonna take him if he's dead?"
"I'm what??"
Suddenly, Bul's body let out a jolt and a gasp. His eyes fluttered open again only to see more fog around him. He was pretty sure Mei was still there... or was she? Was the apparition of himself actually a cloak? Did it grab her and take her away? Slowly he turned his head back and groaned. "Mei??"

"No"
It was probably the worst word to hear at that moment. but at least he gained a little bit of mobility back in his limbs, that Brain of his was doing alright. A little bruised and battered, but OK. sadly to his dismay before he had a chance to take advantage of his limbs, she was back onto him and this time it was her pinning him down. Oh how the tables have turned for the worse.
it was so difficult to breathe with the pressure she was using on his ribcage as he tried his best to thrash her off. "Ge-get off me!" But it went without a response nor a comply and his delicate nose was assaulted by the heavy smell of citrus. And given the situation, he couldn't even enjoy the scent.
Looks like "no' wasn't the worse word to hear before you were mauled and broken from limb to limb. "End" he could feel his heart thump in regret as she started to apply force to his arms in a direction he was pretty sure they weren't supposed to bend into. jack, they were starting to burn and protest from the force on them, to the point of tears stinging his eyes. "Stop please!" he pleaded to her, looking directly into her eyes. if only he didn't listen to that candlejacking voice, he wouldn't be in this situation. the ghouls eyes clearly said no as she kept pressing. This was the end. he was going to lose his arms and bleed out during his first few days at this school.
What a way to go.
Between all the panic and the arm numbing pain, he could hear it. The sound of another voice, and it wasn't one trying to send him to his doom. at least he hoped so. "Get her off me, she's going to break my arms!" He couldn't help feeling like captain obvious but he was sure it was worth repeating in case the individual didn't realize the severity of the situation. Which was highly doubtful.
