Detroit was running out of breath. "He said a farm house to the east... Did I miss it? I haven't seen one yet..."

He kept running, oblivious to his surroundings. He wasn't sure how he'd gotten out of there. He only remembered hearing Nathan tell him to run. He'd heard the enemy wreaking his path of destruction, but had somehow outran him. Had the demon chased after Nathan?

As she swung her gun around to follow him, Mystic's vessel flipped backwards onto his front paws, kicking his feet up and knocking the gun out of her hands. He finished the tumble back onto his feet, but fell to one knee as he let out a small yelp. One of the feet had a rather large, deep, nasty gash where a bullet had taken off a peice of his flesh and some of his bone. It was rapidly beginning to heal, but he was still weakend for now. In response to the cry, there was another howl at the other end of the room as a second werewolf, this one a white-furred female covered in fresh blood, crashed towards the window, instantly attacking the male human with a series of strong, accurate blows.

The werewolf go his hands under him and pushed fowards, the bone fracture in his neck and the bullet wound no more then diminishing annoyances as he scrabbled forwards on all fours, ramming headlong into the woman's legs with devastating force, knocking her to the ground.

As the vessel was smashed by the tremendous hit, Mystic abandoned it, moving in his spirit form between the body and his new victim. He attached his spirit form to her mind, beginning to influence it, using her agression to counduct a willingness to destroy, to deaden her sense of where or what, and to change her thoughts into something subhuman.

Mystic was thrown back into his host body, which he took full control of in its unconsius state. Having healed up, Mystic's vessel launched itself forwards, sending his right claws strait towards the kneeling girl's face. However the young woman, as she had displayed before, used her quick reflexes to throw herself face-first to the side, receiving only a minor cut on the back of her shoulder. Then Mystic stepped on her leg as she tried to get up, sending his left in an attempt to grab and rip out her spine.

Mystic yelped again as his arms were broken, and, knowing they would not heal before a final blow would be delivered, Mystic abandoned his vessel for the final time. As the unconsious sinner reverted back to his human form, Mystic fled to the other, stronger werewolf's body, both him and the other demon that was inside her deciding it was best to pull out. Knocking Nathan back with a bat of her paw, the werewolf ran off through the kitchen and out the back, dissapearing into the night and leaving only the trail of another's blood behind her.

Finding a nearby building resembling an old farmhouse, Detroit ducked inside to take shelter.

"Hello? Nathan? Is anyone there?" he called to the darkness.

Hearing no reply, he figured that Nathan hadn't made it yet. He hoped he was allright. Sitting down and leaning against the wall, he decided to pray.

"God? I think I need a little help here. I don't know what I'm up against. None of us do. Give us your strength so we can stand against these new enemies." He sighed and broke off from his prayer for a few seconds, then continued. "And please keep us safe..."
