Rikku sighed, she stared blankly ahead at nothing in particular. She opened her mouth to say something but the words just didn't come out.

Taiko walked over to the two, and rubbed Xion's head, then scratched her behind the ears. "Your just too cute Xion..." then he looked at Rikku to and added, "Your cute to Rikku... both my pets are so cute~"

Xion moved so she was laid on Rikku's lap so half her head was under Rikku's hand, the other half under Taiko's.

Rikku shook her head a little and blinked a few times to come back into concentration on what Xion and Taiko were doing, "Huh?" she looked up at Taiko she had heard that he said something but didn't hear what he said.

Taiko rubbed Xion's head as he repeated himself, "I said you and Xion are really cute."

Xion smiled as Taiko rubbed her head, shutting her eyes, listening to the conversation between him and Rikku.

Taiko laughed lightly and said, "Well I guess we will have to try and get you out of that habit won't we?" then he patted Xion's head gently and stood up to go check on the dog in his room. When he went in he immedantly noticed the strong smell of blood. He choked on the smell, and covered his face and looked at the dog. The animal was very still, and looked like it wasn't breathing. He touched the dogs side, but got no reaction, just a hand covered in blood. He sighed and muttered, "Well... I tried..." then he took the sheets off his bed and wrapped the dog up and picked it up. He took it outside to the back yard and laid the animal on the ground.

Xion hopped off of Rikku's lap, following Taiko outside, gagging as the stench hit her, "I... I take it the dog died..."

Taiko nodded, unable to answer, afraid that if he opened his moouth he would puke. He tightly wrapped the dog's body up in the bed sheets, trying to make the stench less horrible. Then he stood up and walked over to Xion and asked, "You think we should bury the dog or call someone to take him off?"

Xion shrugged, sitting down. "I think it should at least go back to the people that owned it."

Rikku ran off to her room, shut the door and lay on her bed crying.
