The service passed without interruption, all the while Victor's eyes stayed fixed on the wizard in the distance. Victor led the princess into the dining hall where his crown was replaced by the late King Brinkley's crown. Cheers roared through the halls and the bells chimed signaling the new king just as Victor lowered down onto the throne. A few moments passed before the king stood again and silenced the bustling hall with a clank of his glass. Lord Haste stepped down from the higher step and the young wizard took the elderly man's place. "As king of this great land my first movement it to promote Ciel Trace, the wizard of Fairhaven, to my royal adviser."

"It already has." A sing-song tone hummed from the corner of the king's lips and he lifted his glass in acknowledgment of the newly appointed wizard before the entire hall joined in on the toast. The king returned to his seat and Lord Haste assisted the new adviser with his own medallions of power before stepping away from the royal counsel.

The young wizard stood up from his seat and took two steps forward, smirking in appreciation as he acknowledged the rise in his position to royal advisor. He waited for the applause to die down before speaking up in a sinewy, melodious voice. "Good evening my fair ladies and gentlemen. I thank you for gathering here tonight to witness the crowning of King Brinkley. It is my pleasure to be of service to the new king," he bowed slightly to the royal audience gathered in front of him before continuing. "I am aware that the kingdom has fallen into a state of disarray under the poor regulation and inadequacy of the princesses' authority. But fear not ladies and gentlemen. With the return of patriarchal rule under the new King Brinkley and my guidance, the kingdom will soon return to its former glory. This is certainly worthy of celebration. So ladies and gentlemen, please hold up your glasses. Cheers!" Ciel smiled widely, taking a sip from his wine glass and placing it back on the tray. The servant beside him nodded, backing up and taking the tray away.

Ciel had noticed the young princess Ryana get up from her seat and slip out from the room. Things like that didn't slip his eyes so easily. Having concluded his speech, he turned on his heels and with his robes swishing behind him, he left through the side door. He wasn't about to let the princess out of his sight. He had not gone too far before he noticed the princess ahead of him. She had disappeared into her chambers before he could reach her. Nevertheless, he stood outside her door and knocked twice. "Your highness?" Ciel called out, a hint of mockery in his voice. It disgusted him to have to call her that, but he still had to play his cards right. After all, the real authority would soon be in his hands. "My fair queen, what are you doing in there? The feast is about to begin. Surely it would not look good on your part to neglect the king and his nobles on such an important night. Maybe I remind you, your presence IS required."
