Half of the nergal was entirely unsure as to why his head was throbbing, but the rest of him had rather smartly informed him that it had something to do with the liquid he'd been imbibing with Yaya earlier, which he had promptly worked off with several rounds of rather vigorous activity involving that same lovely ghoul just afterwards. Then...he had fallen asleep, twisted in the sheets...to awaken with a notable absence of a warm body next to him. So with a groan, he'd forced himself from the warm cocoon of covers and proceeded to throw on clothing, some of it perhaps a touch more wrinkled than usual.

Ah, right...the auction was supposed to be today, and he was supposed to be there with...ah, Jack, she was probably going to scold him for that later. Shoving feet into shoes, he traipsed out the door to make his way to where they were holding the auction, and he found the proceedings already well underway. Ah well, here were a few rather familiar faces. Smiling faintly, he shambled through the room, waving at the few people that he did recognize. Oh didn't West look all wondrous and happy today! Eh, pretty much like usual....he hoped that the wrath demon wasn't in a yelling mood.

Rather unsteadily, he wobbled over, frowning at the way that Junko's hair seemed to be getting all nice and cozy with his ghoul. All right well....if Yaya couldn't handle it, he was sure one of the ghouls, if not both, would tell him. "Heeeey, guys..." He muttered, running a hand through tousled blond locks. "So what's the low-down...?" And who were these new people, hmm? He couldn't say that he recognized everyone currently in the circle about Yaya and company, so introductions were in order, though he was hardly in the sort of state to remember names. Ah well, it would just have to do, the nergal would have been cursing himself for a week had he forgotten about these goings-on.

Aksaja's words weren't all too comforting to Jericho, considering the implications of the auction in general. He was so busy caught up in his horror that he failed to notice the Kelpie attempting to hide behind him. What surprised him even more was that Amrita was bidding on him too.

Did she really want to date him? This dragon was very confused right now and it was starting to frustrate him.

With an almost pleading expression, he looked to Riley who didn't seem all too surprised about this whole thing in general. In fact, she almost seemed smug. She had to know something here. He still wanted an explanation for all of this and she wasn't giving him anything!

"HEY! WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE?!" he shouted, "I KNOW THERES BEEN A MISUNDERSTANDING BECAUSE I DIDN'T JACKING SIGN UP FOR THIS"

Her smile only widened as she attempted to pronounce her name. Never before had she seen someone struggle that much with it. Though, it was understandable with the accent and all. "You as well." She added. However, aside from all of the annoying stress filled JOY that she had to go through, the rest of the trip was a little interesting. So it wasn't a complete disappointment of their first encounter.

"Nice to meet you as well." Returning the greeting with a nod and smile to Ren, she watched as he was no sooner dragged off by another boil. How amusing to watch. Directing her attention back towards Natalia, only to notice her hand over hers; Natalia's tail was suddenly shook loose of her grasp. Mei, without realizing, was still trying to reach for the were-lemurs tail with her free hand before being tugged along on her way to the stage. Oh Jack! The stage! They actually had to go up on it?! Until now, she had thought it was optional, considering Tybalt hadn't even shown his face yet! Lucky b*****d.. Hearing the were-lemurs voice speak over her trailing thoughts, she picked up her own pace as to keep up with the ghoul as she hurried up to the stage.

A good cause.. What was the cause again? Minipets? Something along those lines? Uhhh.. It was hard to remember what it was about---she didn't look to closely at what it was she was getting herself into. Watching Natalia pose for the crowd, Mei felt as though she was stuck on a lower level compared to the ghoul, and merely took her usual stance--a more casual stance. "You think so?" She asked the ghoul in a hushed tone; unsure of the whole event herself.

Her head snapped up as she heard a voice boom across the room. Apparently the dragon boil seemed to have been signed up by a mistake, or some joke? It would be interesting to see how this situation would play out.

Whisper had been doing her best to keep a low profile at the auction, but once she heard Natalia's name called she couldn't help but perk up. She wanted to bid on her, but alas had no seeds. So she had to settle for watching, hoping that Natalia would at least get a wonderful date. After all, she at least wanted the lemur to have a date she'd enjoy if it couldn't be with her. Wisp shuffled off to the side, keeping out of the way, waiting for her turn on the block.

Riley had underestimated just how loud her dragon could get, and with one last bubble of laughter she stepped up towards the stage, reaching out to get him to come to her level. When he did, she placed her hands on his shoulders to try and calm him down.

Jericho, shhh. Don't make a scene, no one will bid on you. Except Aksaja. And no one wants that. .. Except Aksaja. She was trying, very hard, to keep the laughter out of her head - but it wasn't working very well.

I signed you up for the auction, okay? I'm sorry. I know you didn't want a date, but.. well it's complicated. It would just make me happy to see you escort someone to the dance, that's all. It's not like you have to actually 'date' the winner.

She gave one wary glance at Aksaja, and a bubble of laughter threatened to come up again. And I promise, she murmured as she turned back to her friend. I brought enough seeds to make sure you get a nice, not-crazy ghoul date. So it's not so bad, is it?

She gave him the closest thing to a pitiful glance that Riley would ever come to.. which really wasn't that pitiful at all.

At last, Riley had come to speak with him and hopefully give him some enlightenment on the whole scenario. Though, Jericho wasn't entirely happy with her answers. Narrowing his eyes some, he stared at the Mindflayer hard when she told him she was the one responsible for signing him up here. He could almost swear she was on the brink of laughing as well.

Her reasoning confused him considerably. Why was it important for him to have a date in the first place?

With a deep breath, he relaxed a little, but he still looked displeased. Yes, he wasn't entirely thrilled with Riley here but he had a hard time being pissed at her.

"Exactly why do you want to see me escort someone to the dance?" he asked in a more normal volume.

"I suppose interesting is one way to put it." With her chin still resting rather heavily on her own hand, still draped over Junko's shoulders, the djinn rolled somber eyes away from the wrath demon and towards her own hand as She began to move it about like some macabre puppeteer. A single dark brow twitched curiously at the complete lack of snide remark from Her, and considering she wasn't being hurt, she saw little harm in simply letting the mistress toy with her arm.

Vaguely zoned, it took Hadiyya a second to register that her friend had asked her a question, and a second longer to recall what the question was. "Oh," she started, lips pressing together thoughtfully as she considered it. "Yes, I'm fine. I think I'm just a little tired." Her voice was soft, and it wouldn't take a genius to catch the implied 'and I miss my boilfriend' tagged at the end. The mistress lifted her hand, dropped it, then reclaimed it, garnering little more then an amused sniff from the ghoul. Where was her nergal? Wasnt he awake yet?

No sooner had the thought crossed her mind then a wonderfully familiar voice sounded beside her. Speak of the devil. Perking up immediately, the water djinn turned her head so she could see him, and the weak little smile that his presence had earned slipped at the sight of him. He looked.. Ill, the poor thing. "Sharra." Her own petty worries melted away as she looked him over, from the toes of polished shoes and upward until crystal blues came to rest on half lidded acid green. Wrinkled and tousled, and every inch of imperfection her own fault. He certainly hadn't been complaining at the time, but he looked down right worst for wear now. It didn't seem the drinks were settling well in him.

Ghosting a kiss on Junko's cheek the marid carefully untangled her hand from the coils of dark hair so she could greet her sweet nergal. Delicate palms smoothing along pale cheeks so she could guide him down to a gentle press oh lips. He was late, but she could hardly blame him in his current state, and certainly not when she'd had a hand in cultivating it. "I'm sorry." all possible reasons for the apology were implied. "I'm also very glad you're here." They had plans, after all. And ill or not, she would have been disappointed if they'd missed out on them.

Introductions could wait until proper greetings were concluded, though Yaya only knew a few of the gathered students that Sharra had not previously met.

Amrita flinched when Jericho started yelling again; she wasn't as far back anymore, it still hurt a bit! Rubbing her ears a bit, she peeked back at the Dragon again, now being calmed by Riley. The poor Dragon clearly didn't want to be there; if Amrita could understand that, it had to have been pretty damn obvious to everyone else.

"I...I can take it back, i-if you want?" She said, after making her way through the crowd to be closer to both Jericho and Riley. He didn't even have to go, if she won! It was hard to not look disappointed, since she was trying to help him and he clearly wasn't having it. Among the many things that frequently never occured to her, 'actually telling him she was helping' was the most recent. Oops.

Just as he was considering tossing out another bid on Jericho, Aksaja noticed Sharra walk up out of the corner of his eye. Hmmn, well he certainly looked like he had gone a round or three with a bottle of some kind. Or perhaps more than three. Most likely.

Still, the lightning dragon couldn't help noticing that even disheveled and hungover, the Nergal wasn't bad-looking at ALL. Sliding up behind the pair, he smiled at the both of them. "Well from what I saw, the first round was pretty interesting, and now . . . we're bidding on the next round. I'll be up there later on. I was thinkin' about bidding on Jericho again just to mess with him." There was a faint smirk at that, and he tilted head at them.

"Wonder if anyone . . . interesting . . . will bid on me when I'm up . . . " And the little glances and narrowing of his eyes suggested that perhaps one of them might. Hmmm?

Riley hedged at Jericho's question, giving him a sharp shrug. It's complicated. She muttered, choosing instead to let Amrita capture her full attention. She turned to the ghoul and shook her head fervently. No, not at all. You've just saved Jericho from a very uncomfortable situation. She smiled with her eyes at Amrita, and brushed a hand along the ghoul's length of hair. Amrita, she felt, was exactly the type of ghoul who deserved a decent date to this dance, like Jericho. This would be a perfect match up for the evening, if all went as planned.

Tybalt almost felt the need to run. This whole auction thing sounded fun at first... It even involved helping a friend out, but... now that he was there up on stage, he was starting to have second thoughts. As much as he liked attention, he didn't like being the center of attention. In fact, he avoided it as much as he could. So why he signed up for something like this to begin with was beyond him. At least he wasn't wearing any silly outfits like some of the others were wearing. Nope! Instead he was dressed in some of his preferred clothing. Something he was much more comfortable wearing. As for what happened to the other outfit he was supposed to wear? Well... Let's just say it met a very unfortunate end involving fire. Still. Even dressed in his usual clothing, he felt awkward up on stage... Way too awkward. When would this be over, anyways?

After what felt like two hours, ( actually only a few minutes had passed ) he began to seriously debate on sneaking off stage or not. At least... he did until he heard his name called out during the auction---along with a bid! Crap! With a sudden wave of both curiousity and sheer panic, he began to frantically scan the crowd for the source; unsure of who it was who had made the bid. Though if anything, he could have sworn the voice was familiar. It was kind of hard to tell actually. Everyone was being so loud and the voice was kind of small... He wasn't sure if he would be able to make it out or no---wait. Was it...? Nah! Couldn't have been! ...Chuppi? Could it really have been Chuppi? He wasn't sure... It didn't seem like something Chuppi would do. Then again, maybe she was trying to help him out? Would she do that? Maybe... Well, if it was, he was grateful! At least it was possibly someone he knew and actually got along with!

Suddenly filled with relief, he jumped off the stage the moment the first part of the auction was completed and began to weave and push through the crowd until he located the small Chupacabra. Though the moment he got a good look at her, he noticed that she looked rather worried about something. In fact, she looked as though she was gonna' be sick! Belladonna was there too and she seemed to be aware of Chuppi's worried look as well. Maybe she was just nervous? It was pretty crowded in here and this kind of event really did call for nervousness. Unless of course you were the overly confident type---like that demoness, Sin. Though how she could be that confident in that outfit, in front of people, would forever be a mystery to him.

"Hey guys!" He called, as he pushed past the last person blocking his path from the two ghouls. "Was that you who bid on me?" He asked; head tilted out of curiosity as his gaze set on Chuppi. Clearly there was no anger present in his expression. In fact, if anything he looked hopeful.

(( Sorry I took so long to post ;;; ))

"I-I'm sorry," Lizzy frowned, looking at Belladonna and then at Colette (at least, she thought that was the ghoul's name; she hadn't seen the reaper since Truth or Dare after all), "I would had helped out too, since Christof already has a date and... I detest two-timers. However, it seems like... We were too late." She looked at the stage, where a fuming Sin was seen heading in their direction, the purple Demoness' eyes focused on the Igor standing near them.

When Chuppi came over, she first smiled at her friend and proceeded to congratulate her for winning a date (could this be the start of something beautiful?), but frowned when the Chupacabra appeared rather distraught over something. Still, she trusted Belladonna to do what's needed and instead, focused her attention on the Igor.

She sensed trouble; while Christof was a creepy Undead at times, Lizzy was sure he had perfectly good intentions when dealing with Amrita. That was really good enough to prove that he's a decent boil, and she was sure Amrita wouldn't want to see him in trouble. Having experience with his gestures came in handy, as she followed his gesturing to the Demon dorms and then back at Sin, before he did the "Lepus ears" again. Something sort of clicked after that, and she stepped it, standing beside he hunchback to sort of keep Sin from... Possibly hitting him.

"I think he won you for someone else," She nodded at Sin, nudging Christof on the side of his arm in a 'please do something to prove that I'm guessing it right' way. It wasn't difficult to guess for who; he has two Demon masters - one of which is technically a mistress and taken, so it must be for his other master. After a short pause, she continued, "I think he won you for Barth - that sloth demon."

She was getting better at this 'deciphering the gestures' thing!

Of course, Jericho's outburst made her jump; hearing Calder's name being called caused her mouth to open slightly as her eyes widened in surprise. When Amrita placed a bid on Jericho, however, Lizzy's eyes just became wider - so wide, in fact, that it looked unnatural. Scrambling for her skelephone, she quickly sent Amrita a text, one that conveyed her exact feelings at that moment.

'AMRITA, Y R U BIDDIN ON JERICHO? DDDD8 DO U LIK HIM?'

She never, ever use chat speak. Ever. To use them - and abusing caps at the same time - meant that she was feeling really shocked and had no other way to convey that emotion through a simple text. Then, she clutched her skelephone in her hand, waiting for a reply from the Vetala.

Riley's reassurance did it's job, and Amrita breathed a sigh of relief; though the brush through her hair certainly helped a lot, too. Moments after the Demoness' fingers left her dark hair, Amrita gave a startled jolt and let out a rather loud cry of surprise, flailing to pull something out of it's hiding place on her person; a skelephone. A vibrating skelephone.

Shaking enough on her own from the startle, she awkwardly opened the phone and held it up higher for herself to be able to read it. It was from Lizzy, she could tell that much...but the rest of it was practically christmas to her.

It took her a while to read it, all the while muttering under her breath in some lame attempt to read it out loud. What was 'DDDD8'? Hrm, she'd have to ask later. Eventually, she figured out what Lizzy was trying to ask...

"WHAT?! NO! I...I JUST...I'M TRYING TO HELP!"

...And she answered verbally. Loudly, with her eye wide and a dark blush creeping onto the fleshy half of her face, but verbally. To a text.

Smart.

Daisuke was pleased that Junko had wanted and allowed him to stick around the rather crowded group, although there was so much going on around them, especially when his eyes found a rather angry Sin stomping from her stage at the announcement o the patchwork winning her and confronting him. Boy, he wouldn't want to be him right now.

"Great." He smiled, finally answering to Junko and the mistress, just short of seeing the Nergel appear and the ghoul who had been clinging to her move her attention over to him. He couldn't really recall meeting him before either. He was so behind with all the social workings, it was starting to get confusing.

Actually, he hadn't noticed the familiar face up on stage being caged by the gnome until now, after Junko had mentioned if she should bid on anyone. Alcie looked sad, and he was about to raise his hand to bid on her just because he didn't want to see his friend so uncomfortable when someone else bid on her and he sighed in relief.

Hopefully a friend. Which he rubbed the back of his neck, making a glance over at the red haired witch as he caught her wave, still being occupied this time by all her ghoulfriends. He looked over at Jack and waved him over, wondering if he remembered him; it had been a while since BotB. Of course, when someone accidentally tries to kill you with flying symbols, how do you forget something like that.

"Jack!"
He motioned for him to come over with a small grin, then looked back at his friend who's hair seemed to be finding things to cling on to.

"Is there anyone who catches your interest? Or are you looking for a date to the dance?" He didn't know if she had a date, so he was unsure what she would go for. "I feel bad for Alcie. She looks so sad." He in turn of his words, cast her a wave, then held a small thumbs up to his friend, trying to comfort her in sorts that she had been noticed and that she was hopefully, going to be ok.

When the next batch of victims were called up to the stage, West might as well have lost control of his jaw. Ho. Lee. Crap. Jericho was never going to live this down. West couldn't even muster up a laugh, he just... stared.

The dragon's anger was a thing of beauty.

West might have shed a tear. No, not really.

Apparently this was all Riley's doing. Maybe he'd have to rethink his opinion of the mindflayer. Although, to be fair, nefarious stealth brain wipers could possess senses of humor too, he supposed.

West crossed his arms over his chest and remained transfixed on the auction's proceedings. He watched Aksaja and Amrita bid on the mortified boil, and even though things seemed to be calming down, he hoped beyond hope that someone would see fit to throw a punch.
