My synagauge has us do the barchu, shma, yotser orr, amidah, torah blessings, torah portion, speach, haftorah portin and blessings then at the end cand is thrown st the bar/bat mitzvah.

For my bat-mitzvah I lead Kabbalat Shabbat, Musaf, the Torah Service, read Torah and Haftorah, and gave a talk.

Most of the guests thought we were getting married or something xd . It was funny, because the invitations really did make it look like that rofl . No, I don't beleive in marrying people from your own family. And not at age 13. Especially 12. And its against the torah. And its lame. And I don't like my sister than much. And... yea... sweatdrop

for mine i read the torah part that week and gave a talk and had a party at the old city in jerusalem.
i also went on a trip and gave a tour to my family in the old city. (i prepeard it...). smile

i did the starting torah service, read the 8 parshas and the haftarah, gave a talk, and had a nice party with my friends afterwards. smile

I never had one. x.X;; When I was younger, I started out going to Hebrew school just like most Jewish children, But when I was in third grade, I was diagnosed with an illness and my mother believed that continuing Hebrew school would bring me too much stress, so I had to quit. I'm just now starting again. x.X;;
