Aila had never felt any distinct inclination towards profanity before, but a quiet curse might have passed her lips as well. Her hand moved to her waist-- No, Fleur was a grass-type. She was the strongest of Aila's team, but she would completely ineffective against a fire legendary on a warpath. "Pitre--" Ah, who was she kidding? The steel-type would be knocked out with a single blow; it wouldn't even provide a decent shield. Revenant was her only useable powerhouse, and she doubted that even the Mismagius stood much of a chance. It seemed that they had two options: abandon the egg and bail, at which point the Ho-Oh would likely pursue and roast them out of pure indignation, or try and fight back, at which point the Ho-Oh would likely appreciate the fact that they had stayed put where it could more easily roast them out of pure indignation.
Ahh, this didn't look like it was going to end well...

s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t!
Nikki quickly fumbled with her Pokeballs and recalled Yuushi quickly. She would be of little use here. Instead she tossed another pokeball, which held her strongest Pokemon.
A large Pidgeot then emerged, spreading his wings and screaming a challenge at Ho-oh as he stepped protectively in front of his trainer.
"DARKFEATHER HYPER BEAM!" the blonde agent screamed.
He didn't need to be told twice. His feathers rose as a ball of energy grew in his parted beak. A couple moments later a powerful beam of energy lanced out at Ho-oh with all the ferocity the Pidgeot could muster.

"Nunnally, Water Gun!" cried Len as she tossed out the Vaporeon. "Give it all, uh, you got!"
The Vaporeon nodded and blew a Water Gun enough to blow her back. Her paws dug into the craggy under-bed, the friction keeping her still. At this time, Len was already beginning to abandon her one Water Pokemon for Eloise. She was ready to get the hello and goodbye out of there!

Ok, it seems like everyone was throwing rocks and firing their lasers and what now. And there was no way in hell that he was going to run while the others were fighting.
"Seance! Shadow Claw! Brick! Body Slam! Tiamat! Surf!" Leonard released the other two Pokemon from their Pokeballs while the Banette charged forward to attack. He should know better than to tell his Feraligatr to Surf, especially since what happened in the tunnel. But it was either getting wet or getting burned to a crisp.

Faleen saw her Pokemon attacking the Ho'oh, as well as a flurry of other pokemon. She backed up, getting by the egg to make sure it didn't fall out of the nest for any reason. A figure floated down next to her head, glancing over sharply, expecting to see Shuppet since they were the colors of her ghost, she saw instead, a dark blue and black Banette, glaring up at the Ho'oh from next to his master. She stared for a moment, shocked, and wondering when that happened. but a sudden idea struck her, and she was on her feet again "Shuppet!" she was so used to calling him that. "Destiny bond!"
In response the Banette flew up toward the Ho'oh to preform the attack, hands and eyes glowing as he held them out to the Ho'oh, preparing to link fates. "Nikki, Ma'am! That Banette is using destiny bond! once he's done I recommend you attack him to knock him out." it wouldn't be hard for one of Nikki's pokemon to knock out her Banette.

The rather sudden appearance of a Pidgeot right in front of Damon caused him to abruptly throw himself backwards. He'd met one Pokemon of that particular evolutionary line in his life, and the meeting with Pidge had virtually cemented a deep-rooted terror for the line in his mind. Pidgey were obviously crazed Pokemon just waiting to attack you at the turn of a hat, their evolutions had to be worse.
The fact that the bird Pokemon had just used an exceptionally powerful Hyper Beam right in front of him did nothing to soothe his fear of it.
It was times like these where he felt distinctly useless. With no Pokemon that could attack from a distance, the only thing he could do was try to salvage their work on the net. And hope the Ho-Oh didn't spot him and dive to attack him. That would certainly be unpleasant...

Okay, no need to panic. Though many of her pokemon lacked strength, they had excellent support moves. One at a time she gave her orders, releasing the named pokemon that weren't already free of their pokeballs: "Pitre, Confusion. Noire, Supersonic. Gui, FeatherDance. Revenant..." Perish Song didn't seem like such a good idea, not when they were all depending on their pokemon to effectively save their hides. "Psybeam," she decided. Each of the creatures, needing no explanation for the situation they found themselves in, complied with their designated orders, launching what was effectively an all-out assault when combined with the other Rockets' pokemon.

Nyx pulled two pokeballs off of her belt and aimed them to be released on the edge. The two balls opened and the flashes of white light materialized on and over the ledge with the nest, one forming the Raichu from earlier and the other the blue mew. "Darwin, Metronome, Tesla, Thunderbolt!"
The Mew blinked at the giant bird and then at his trainer, and then floated upside down for a moment before righting himself and waving his paws back and forth as they started to glow. After a moment, his tail dripped some sort of purple goo, and he darted at the Ho-Oh, intent on attacking it with the metronome fueled Poison Tail.
Tesla looked at Nyx, who was further away and still riding with Hayes on his Pidgeot, like she was crazy. What? Attack that? Did she want him to die? Why did she ask him to do terrible scary things? "Chuuu..." Tesla complained and looked for someplace to run, but finding no way off of the ledge, whined again, louder, and launched a bolt of electricity at the flying legendary.

Unhappy was an understatement - the legendary had gone past furious and was now sailing in the skies of clear purpose on the other side that didn't diminish - not by the Hyper Beam hitting it square in its feathery breast, nor the darkness that slashed and clawed from all directions, or the rocks that rained down from above. But the sheer onslaught forced it back, and for a moment it seemed to retreat and disappear in the smoke, its cry impossible to place.
Something golden glowed in the haze, growing brighter.

The blonde agent glanced at Faleen and blinked, then nodded. "Go for it!" That was pure genius!
Nikki then watched the Ho-oh, for she knew better than to assume it was fleeing. She caught sight of the glow in the smoke, and her eyes widened. She knew that attack.
"LOOK OUT!" She shouted to the others before hitting the dirt, ignoring the scrapes she earned in the process. This was going to be something fierce.
The cry from Ho-oh summoned two other Pokemon from the lava. The two Charizards from before rising back into the air. Their eyes burning with the same intensity as their tails, which were now twice as bright as before. The lava having rejuvenated them. The pair roared ferociously. They would protect the legendary to the end!

"Ba?" he had been just about to seal the Ho'oh's fate with his, when the large bird had suddenly taken off. fleeing from the aria. his zipped up mouth frowned in confusion, lowering his wants slightly as one eyelid narrowed, watching the distant glow.. what was that? He had little time to wonder however, when there was a burst from below him, and the two Charizard that had been previously defeated burst from the lava. "BANETTE!" he cried in surprise. drifting backward before narrowing his eyes, oh so it was them again, back for more, fine then!
What? the Ho'oh was flying away? And from the looks of it, Banette was unable to complete his attack, her shoulders sank a little at this realization. The yell from Nikki startled Faleen, but she saw what she had been looking at. "What is it?" she asked, grabbing a few of the ropes from the egg and quickly wrapping it around a near by rock, before bracing herself by it as well, unsure of what Nikki knew was coming.

The cry from Nikki was the first thing to break Damon's attention away from the net he was trying to salvage, and as he turned to find out what had caught her attention what remaining color was in his face abruptly disappeared. It couldn't possibly be... But there were very few attacks that started like that one... Oh dear Arceus they hadn't just pissed off any Ho-Oh; they'd pissed of a very high-leveled one.
His work on the net was abandoned faster than he'd thought was possible, and he quickly threw himself to the ground. The lava rock tore through the front of his shirt, earning him a good number of scrapes to his chest and the underside of his arms. He could already feel the blood welling up, but he ignored it in favor of making himself as small a target as was physically possible.

Nyx looked uneasily at the Ho-Oh and wished that she were more securely attached on the back of her own bird. "Why aren't we landing?!" She looked at the various ledges, and then behind them at Langley. "Why is it glowing?!" Nyx looked at her two pokemon on and near the ledge; Darwin was floating around looking perplexed, and Tesla was... cowering next to Nikki.
