(( Rolling! FAIL 1 ))

Kasumi stood and brushed herself off, nervous as could be. Don't look down? Don't falter? Don't lean forward or back? Oh dear. The ghost did the best she could while trying to impress the teacher. Nervously, she stood at the end of the line, hands wrapped together in front of her. As she took her turn to walk the line, she couldn't help but look down out of anxiety, thus failing the first time. Cursing herself, she went to the back of the line to try again.

(( Rolling attempt 2! YAY PASS ))

Again, she had to do it again, to impress the teacher and show how much she was concerned about herself doing well in the class! Kasumi readied herself again and thought back to the first time - don't look down, shoulders back, head up! The ghost walked down the line again, thoughts concentrated on not faltering a second time. By the time she got to the end of the white line, she had succeeded! Kasumi barely contained her joyful fist-pumping and returned to stand with the other students who were finished.

Charlie happily accepted the folded wing from Aymet not thinking much of the grotesque sounds that had been made when the undead dragon had popped them from his back. No Charlie just smiled and accepted the tattered fleshy thing not thinking much about it maybe still being able to move on its own.

It didnt take long for the wing to unfold and start to beat about as if it was looking for its real owner. Unlucky for the five foot two demon handling the wing this meant that he too would be taken for a ride around the class room. The wing dragged Charlie in a circle around the table. The best the pink haired demon could do was hold on to the undead wing for dear life like he was jet skying.

"WAHOOOO!!" It seemed that instead of panicking, Charlie was just enjoying the ride. That was until the wing lead him into a wall. Now tangled in the undead dragon wing the pink haired demon just laid there.

After reaching her seat, Kasumi pulled out a piece of paper. While other students were busy socializing, the ghost was filling out an assignment - her career counseling assessment form. Tapping her pencil against her cheek, she filled it out to the best of her ability and tucked it back in the pocket of her dress. Ms. Winters was very impressive and got high marks from the ghost. She still had no idea what she would do for the future as a career, but every little bit helped.

When she stood, a demon went flying past her in a rush, attached to a... detached wing? Oh dear, this class was getting quite rambunctious. Kasumi wasn't sure what to do about all this.

So far, Ms.Winters seemed impressed. That was until poor Alessa took a fall (at least she got up with grace and made no fuss over the ordeal). The taller of the undead boils faltered in his walk, as did Livius. She was surprised by the the demon, and not so much by the undead.

Both Alessa and Livius made it through with ease on their second attempt. The undead boil, however, repeated his failure. She'd been about to intervene when a sick popping and ripping sound had splintered the near silence as the students completed their task. Aymet had handed his wings off to two demons. While Riley had made the most of her situation (which greatly pleased the elder Demon), poor Charlie had collided with the wall. This distracted Winter long enough to miss Kasumi's first falter, focusing on her pass instead as she directed Xypher, to drag Charlie's tangled body from the floor, and back to his seat.

The boil could likely use a good sit after that. The idea to send him to the school nurse never crossed her mind.

With all things in order, Ms. Winters returned to watching the remaining students complete the task ahead of them.

Now that he was done, Jericho just watched the other students go with a fair amount of disinterest. The dracolich seemed to be struggling with the task at hand. The way he popped his wings out seemed... rather painful and he couldn't help but shifting his own wings a bit in discomfort. But it seemed to work out for Aymet.

Riley, who now had one of those wings did rather wonderfully with the extra limb in hand. Hearing a scream from the side, he looked to see where the other wing had gone. Cringing as the pink haired demon crashed right into the wall.

Rubbing his head, he just shook it before looking to see who else was going.

He was rather impressed that Barth managed to get on without a hitch however. The guy was slow, but aside from that he actually got by.

((Wut Christof passed? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN.))

Posture? POSTURE? They were going to be graded on POSTURE? Panic gripped the hunchback's gut, and when he rose from the table to take his turn, he was physically trembling. He could do this. He could DO this. He came to the mark, slumped, uneven shoulders quivering before he drew in a sharp breath and.... attempted to straighten. His spine screamed, and he was sure he could feel a shoulder blade puncture a lung, but if he held his breath and kept his eyes clenched tightly shut, he could.... maybe take a step without falling... Not too forward or back? His hips wailed, he was not BUILT for this! If a Mad Scientist needed an assistant with proper posture, they hired a butler, they didn't build an Igor. Igors were half... ambiance. They were THERE to lurk and loom and crawl out from the shadows with a plate of syringes. Out of sheer determination, his legs carried on without limp (Malodore's stitches were still holding strong) and.... he made it to the ending mark.

With a pained whine, Christof slumped back to how he was built to stand, a hand moving around to sorely rub his abused back. That... was going to hurt for a while. But did he pass??

As much as it had been fun to meet people, apparently it wasn't the right way and things had to be addressed. When the dance floor was pointed to, Calder sat up straight and tried to look over. How was dancing going to help them make introductions? It was the line and the activity that was the trick, and following the mob of his fellow classmates over to the perfectly straight,, red line, they were given their task. Walk the line.

Smiling, he went to go in line to walk the line, and tried to think of the best way to go about it. Well, aside from walking. It just seemed too simple. What better thing did a horse creature do than trot in a direction? Aside from being the best at grazing and drowning. This was a piece of cake, and yet, after many students went after him, it didn't seem like it. What was wrong with people?! They walked down the hallways all the time and that was a straight line. Was it the red line doing some sort of magic? Did it pull you to fall? Was this a setup?!!!

When he was one of the few students left, Calder went up and tapped a hoof on the line. Hmmm. Nothing. Just a line. Part of him wanted to hop the length, but she said walking so he held his head up to the point he was pretty much looking up at the ceiling and started to walk ………and hum.

I find it very, very easy to be true. I find myself alone when each day is through. Yes, I'll admit that I'm a fool for you. Because your mind, I walk the line. He hummed this to the end of the verse and stopped, spinning about on his hoof and taking the way back. Again, humming. She never said anything about being quiet.

As sure as night is dark and day is light. I keep you on my mind both day and night. And happiness I've know proves that it's right. Because you're mind, I walk the line. And he was back, smiling. "Ta-dah! I could trot that too if you want. Or prance!" He rose up on his hoofs as he smiled, wanting to go again. This was such a fun and easy class. "Can we do a zigzag line n- blindfolded - with darts shooting at us through the walls?!" Okay, maybe Calder was a little too hyper for such a refined, proper class.

((Dice Fail 1))

They had to do what now? Walk along some red line? It sounded simple enough to the she-wolf, but as she watched more than one student falter (or fall), LW started to rethink this. When she was finally up, the she-wolf was uncertain of how well she would do. It was just a straight line! She could do this.

Maybe. Sort of.

Ok, apparently not at all. Too distracted by other things, like the look on some of the faces of others when a student...did he just pull his wings out? Oh my Jack! Had that really happened?

Thus the she-wolf failed her first attempt.

Oh jack...one of her biggest enemies was walking a straight, formal, proper line! She was doomed. Absolutely doomed! With a deep breath she got herself ready and with a slow, shaking exhale she started to walk. She didn't have the forwards facing feet that made walking with a proper posture an easy task, and she fully expected to end up flat on her face.

One foot...in front of the other. Stand straight, shoulders proper, move slowly...it'll be fine. Just one foot...in front of the other. Don't look at the floor, look straight...it'll be fine. It'll be fine, It'll be fine! Come on, Amrita! You've faced fires, and terrible beasts...and you've survived! Walking will not be your downfall!

Before she knew it, she was finished. She had walked. She hadn't stumbled. She...She passed! Beaming with pure pride, she shuffled to where her friends were, too happy to even gush.

Charlie clung to the tattered wing in his seat. It had been quite a crash but he would be fine more then likely. Honestly, the thought never crossed his mind he might need to go to the nurse either. The demon boy was prone to crashing, falling and over all being a danger to him self far to often.

So he sat quietly and properly watching his remaining class mates walk that straight line. The demon was still pleased he had passed.

She had watched the young boil with pink hair flap around on a tattered wing, slamming into walls and such--half worried that he might run into her. Luckily, the seat he had taken to once again seemed to hold both the detatched limb...thing and its new rider for the time being.

Having also caught LW's attempt and failure, Natalia felt a twinge of guilt. She wasn't able to help the were-wolf, or at least she didn't think she could. Hopefully her second attempt would be better...Natalia so hoped.

((Dice FAIL 2))

She was determined to get this right, jackdamnit! It should not be this hard to walk along a red line. Sober.

... ...

Alright, who was she kidding. The she-wolf was too energetic at most times to walk a straight line, let alone do it in the posture that Ms. Winter wished for them to do it with. Enough of that thinking! Breathe. Do this right.

Then she spotted the lemur and felt slightly embarrassed that she had failed the first time. Thus...failure number two.

Colette held the Faculty Career Assessment form in her hands, careful not to wrinkle the sheet, and maneuvered up and down the academy halls nervously. Which classroom should she go to? She wasn't exactly buddy-buddy with any professors. Mainly, she didn't want to stumble into a classroom that had an easily angered professor.

"Might as well just get it over with." She sighed and quietly entered into the first active classroom she saw. At least it was seemingly clean and nice looking.

The instructions on the paper had said to be discreet. How does one be discreet when invading a classroom she obviously probably should be in? Colette wasn't very sure, but she stood off to the side silently and watched both the professor and students, trying not to be noticed while she filled out the form.

((PASS...amg))

She was determined before, but now she was jack damned going to get this right! Her tail lashed a little behind her as she walked the line (hehe) once again! Violet eyes stayed locked on the wall across from her and not anything around her. It was one foot in front of the other. Slow and easy. Keep tail from off-balancing herself.

Somehow, the she-wolf successfully passed this attempt. About time! She quickly proceeded to stand quietly amongst the other students and await for everyone to finish here.
