isis came troting up behind the beta. " sorry it toke me so long" she sighed ready to run.

Rammah watched as Isis trotted into the cave behind Claws. The alpha cocked her head a bit, wondering where she had been, but let it slide. She was back and in one piece. She could thank the moon that nothing else had gotten to her.

((Akumu is offline now and we were discussing the possibility of one of us filling in as alpha male as well as our other character until the position was filled permanently. So we might have to take a break for a while. Plus I'm off work and will be leaving for home.))

The whole feeling of failure lingered over Goldrinn as he walked across the vast land covered in ice and snow. His frost bitten feet felt heavier that ever before. He didn't hold himself with the pride of an alpha anymore. He seemed to drag along through the wind and snow. His golden eyes held a blank expression.

Goldrinn had gone off in search of those who had taken his beloved children away. He had hate and rage in his heart to cover his sorrow. If he had been man he would have cried a thousand oceans. But wolves had more reserve than humans, and they didn't shed tears anyways. Goldrinn knew his mate had taken the blow just as hard as himself. That is what made Goldrinn return. He had to help Rammah though this. 'Together...maybe we can go on.' Goldrinn had thought.

The huge he-wolf had never had a litter until he met his love, Rammah. He felt like a horrible parent, to have his firstborn litter all perish. He knew he could try again next year but Goldrinn actually feared losing his children once again. That would kill Rammah. Goldrinn just wished he could bring his pack somewhere safe. But even he knew there was no such place.

Goldrinn finally arrived at the cave. He shook off the snow and greeted Rammah with a gentle nuzzle. He slowly wagged his tail affectionately."Hey...i'm back." He whispered.

Rammah looked up from sleep and blinked her golden eyes as she looked up at Goldrinn, her mate, her love. Her heart leaped into her throat and then sunk into her stomach just as quickly. Was this a dream? Was she dreaming of her mate's return? "Goldrinn?" She asked, uncertain of whether or not she was awake. Her tail wagged as she stood, ears pinned slightly as she licked at his muzzle. "Have you finally come back to me?" She was so uncertain. It had been weeks since his departure. Rammah didn't care if he had failed or succeeded. What mattered now was that he was back and she was at least somewhat whole once more.

Miakoda looked at her Alpha Male. It felt strange to have Goldrinn back. Poor Rammah, what she must have her mate away for so long. Miakoda knew the feeling well. She saw how they looked at eachother and felt the relief that passed through everyone. Longing to be held and touched that way, her eyes filled with tears. Ashamed of her weakness, she turned her back to everyone and left the cave. She walked slowly, letting the cold and snow seep into her fer and the pads of her paws. When she finally git to her tree, she jumped up onto her tree branch and curled up tightly, finally letting the tears out. I need you...
