"Are we talking about me or you? " Sephriea said in amusement. "Me? Okay.." Her laughter echoed in the air, a little twisted malice mixed in there. "That's where your wrong again, I will be remembered. I have people that actually do care about me, It took me a while to see it fully, but I know my perpose in life now. That's to protect those who are always there for me, and to defend them from anyone who tries to do them harm. I'll do what it takes to protect the world too, if I have to protect everything from you, who you are won't get in the way of my actions anymore. I won't feel sorry for you anymore, I won't wish for that pathetic dream of being close to you. All that is history, just like you will be again..At least when i'm gone, they will have good memories of me. What will they have of you? A man who constantly brings ruin. No one will want to remember anything like you.

As their conversation came to a close by the clashes of blades, Sephriea surprisingly had yet more luck on her side, as she watched the figure of her father flying back into the ground several feet away, his body skidding to a final stop on the grounds. There, he laid disoriented from the strike. "Hmm.. " She only had a few seconds here, so she had better be quick before he was back up again. Quickly teleporting to where he continued to lay, Sephriea's cold smirk only grew as she placed a boot over his chest roughly. "How will you deal with this?" She dug her boot into his chest to cause him further pain, but what he wouldn't know...was that wasn't what she was asking about exactly. Sephiroth would see her hold her large sword upward, and a slight mechanical click sounded as she suddenly pulled the blade into..two? ..That was slightly familiar. "If this is all an illusion, then how does this feel? Real? " He would feel the excruciating pain in both of his hands as the two blades struck deep through into his hands, pinning him to the ground where he laid. "Cloud gave me these, but this is just an illusion hmm? " She smiled down at him. Her smile was anything but kind, if anything, it was quite terrifying. For anyone else it would be, but probably not Sephiroth.

Sephiroth

"All that you know could be an illusion."

User Image

"You must believe history remembers everyone if you think it will remember you. You're delusional..." Sephiroth let out a sound of amusement. "I suppose the point is moot. I have every intention to rid the planet of the life that leeches off it. I will bring this world to ruin in order to save it." A warped viewpoint for certain, but wasn't untrue that the ShinRas of the world once used to planet's own life force as an energy source. That's what originally caused The Beast to come and almost destroy all life.
And a few moments later, he felt something press into his chest. "Gh!" He grunted, his eyes narrowing up at the confident girl. "Get your foot off me..." He ordered lowly. Though really, he might not be in the best position to be giving orders. He let out a pained gasp as she twisted her boot around. At the beginning of this fight, he mentioned how he would rob her of her foolish pride, but it was starting to seem like it would be the opposite... His daughter who he had believed so weak... how had she grown so strong? As she stabbed his hands down, he let out another pained grimace. Here he was, his arms pinned down by swords, and her with her foot pressed into his chest... had he ever felt so utterly defeated in his life? ...No. No he hadn't. And he was in too much pain to gather the energy to teleport right now, too... "Gh... this is... absurd..." He was starting to feel... humiliation. He couldn't remember the last time he had felt that in his many lives... and the longer she stood there with her foot planted victoriously on him, the worse it would be...

"I don't think, I know. " She said dully. "Oh, for heavens sake. You still live in the past, ShinRa were the one's responsible for the leeching of the planet. They were responsible for everything, not the people. You can't make the whole world suffer for one group of a*****e's choices. That's just stupid. You want to save it? Then stop trying to kill everyone and actually fight for the planet's protection. You will accomplish more by doing the right thing, rather following in the footsteps of the one responsible for your misery. If you keep on this path, you will only make Hojo proud of you. Do you really want to bring satisfaction to the one who only made your existence possible to be an experiment? ShinRa isn't screwing with the planet anymore, so why continue down this path? We could use your help to protect the planet, if it is true that you have some care for it. Would you not want to know what being truly needed is like? " This may of been the longest conversation she ever really had with him, it's to bad she was just...wasting her breath...

As moments past, and he still was being uncooperative Sephriea continued on her assault, this time it was more pain and humiliation..She didn't remove her boot from his chest, nor the blades from his hands. "Absurd is you not wanting to listen to reason. You aren't really that stupid. You KNOW i'm right.."

IUnknown to both Sephiroth and Sephriea, they were being watched from above. By what, exactly? That question would be answered high in the sky, something suddenly appeared directly above them. An airship with some special stealth abilities, it masked even the presence of those inside it with a magical barrier to keep it fully stealth. Before ether of them could react to the sudden appearance, it had already began it's attack, thick, heavy wire shot out from the ship, and as they reached their targets power reducing cuffs were clasped around their wrists. This was...certainly a new way of attempting a catch.
"Ehh? What the hell...!? " Did someone have some kind of death wish? Sephriea felt herself pulled back, caught in the surprise of it all and now in some kind of bindings Sephriea was knocked to the ground off of Sephiroth who she had come so close to beating down.
The ship began to land, while soldier's started to pour out with weapons drawn.
That's when the image of a man appeared not to far from where the two were being held. Ryosuke, formerly known as the Serenitians worst nightmare. "Ah,hahaha...." Sephriea started to laugh, sitting up as she did despite the restraints attempting to keep her down. "Your a funny guy..you guys are all going to die today. I mean, how do you really expect to catch us and why? I think the experimenting thing is getting a little old, so old it's boring. "
Ryosuke began to step forward, walking toward the mouthy girl. "Who said anything about experimenting? I have.....better plans for the two of you. " Reaching into his pocket, a small hidden device was taken into his hand as he pressed the button. The moment the button was pressed, the binds that held them would send off a continuous electrical current in extreme doses every few seconds, it would be painful enough to even keep Sephiroth down, not to mention he or Sephriea would no longer be able to teleport away due to the magic in the binds around their wrists.
Had everything gone as it should, transparent glass domes seemed to materialize around the both of them, sealing them inside, while at the very same time the binds around their wrists just seemed to vanish. The dome around them would keep them from teleporting, the glass unbreakable.

To not show pain in the moment of being zapped to all hell was almost impossible, even for her who tried so hard not to show any form of weakness. Once the cables and cuffs were off them however, Sephriea realized what they were both inside. There was also a strange aura that must have been within the walls of this holding tank, as they would feel their energy slowly being sapped away. "...Okay. Were enemies, but right now. Let's not be. Can you do that much? A sort of the enemy of my enemy is my friend thing! Let's...destroy them...We can go back to killing each other later!"

An inconspicuous head would poke out nearby the scene from behind some rubble, before ducking back down. There was a curious pair nearby who had only been alerted to the scene once the loud helicopter made its appearance.
"How did it look?"
The quiet girl put a hand to her chin, thinking. She made a motion for him to look since they were from a safe place.
"...I see." The man leaned back down. "Two being held captive, and a squad of enemies armed with those projectiles we ran into before. Rushing them head-on wouldn't prove fruitful, I imagine." The girl shook her head vehemently, before going back to her apparently intense thought. "...I trust you, Mark. What should our move be? We can't just leave them."
"......." The girl wasn't very talkative. Then suddenly, her head shot up, and her expression essentially painted that a lightbulb had lit up in her mind.
"Ha, that expression from you is like a beacon of hope, truly."

"...Heheheheh..." Sephiroth only chuckled. Ryosuke and all the infantrymen might feel completely ignored as their presence seemed almost inconsequential to him. "I could escape, but why would I? That would only help you. And since you believe yourself to be so powerful... you can handle this on your own, can't you..." And with those words left hanging in the air, a peculiar energy would surround him, and a moment later, he vanished. It was very clear to anyone who could sense presences that the energy used to teleport was not his own. What could it have been, then...?
The soft steps of boots against the earth could be heard by everyone in the group, as a bewildered-looking brown-haired girl apparently wandered onto the scene. She was carrying a parchment of some sort. She scratched her head, walking literally directly in the middle of the scene as she looked down at the map(?) in her hands.
"Hey!" A good amount of the infantrymen raised their weapons.
The girl looked up from her map, blinking a few times. She seemed suddenly startled at the fact that there were so many people... had she really not even noticed this was all happening? She quickly raised her arms, showing that she had no weapons on her.
"Wow, she's so airheaded..." one of them remarked.
"But she's pretty cute..."
"Lower your weapons, she's clearly not here to cause us trouble," the apparent captain said. "What's the issue, lady?"
She blinked a few times, but raised her map, poking it a few times.
"Is she mute or something...?"
"Looks like she's lost..."
They all just... kinda stood there. "....." Mark huffed. The men in this world were clearly NOT gentlemen. Then again, they seemed to be bad guys... She motioned for them to come look at the map and help her figure it out.
"Oh, maybe we can help her...."
"I guess she is pretty airheaded, it's kinda our job, right? We're men, after all." THERE it was. That's what Mark was looking for. The men's natural desire to help this helpless, lost girl who clearly couldn't fend for herself.... that would be their undoing.
"Yeah, let's help her!" Once one of them mentioned the gender, they all seemed to be jumping at the chance. Whether or not Ryosuke was able to see that this might not be a good idea wouldn't really stop them, as all of the infantrymen began to crowd towards her, all looking down at the map she had. She kept poking the map several times, trying to get them all to lean down and look closer...

...The loud propellers of the helicopter masked the upcoming galloping of a horse until it was much too late. Mark winked, and suddenly dropped down to the ground, and before the infantrymen could even question why, a tremendous sword would cut a swath straight through the entire battalion who had been so closely grouped together. The unknown man pulled a bit on his horse's reigns as he faced Ryosuke. "Release the girl and I'll allow you to leave this place unscathed." He held his tremendous black blade as he faced the scientist, waiting for any brash movement on his part. Ryosuke would probably understand that he could not get back to his helicopter faster than this horse could catch him...
Meanwhile, Mark did a small fist pump as her plan seemed to go over flawlessly. Hurrying over to the glass container, she began to inspect it, looking all around for any potential weaknesses, and knocking on it a few times. It seemed pretty tough... It wouldn't be easy to punch a hole in it, she imagined. Especially not a human-sized one.

"...Boy, I feel the love.." Sephriea leaned back, snickering as Sephiroth vanished. "Using someone else's power to run away, god. That's so pathetic...At least try to take up the challenge? " She said to herself, obviously she was now here all alone. Sitting down, she didn't seem to be to worried about this little predicament she was in. "Whatever, I'll let them believe they got me. And when we get to his secret hiding spot....slaughter time. " There would be blood! That Ryosuke clearly didn't think this through.

As alone as she seemed now, the presence of a brown-haired girl became obvious to, well, everyone. She didn't look familiar to her, but she also didn't look like someone she would classify as a skilled fighter. What was she thinking, going up to all of these guys by herself? "Ah, crap. What the hell is that girl doing? " The men gathering around her, while they didn't seem to have ill intentions..it still made her worry. God, why did she have to go soft anyway? She did fine being rude and sometimes even a little twisted. Until certain people got closer to her.
In the distance, something of an even bigger surprise caught her attention as a crimson-haired man came rushing in on horseback like some kind of knight. He surly looked the part!
And it only took him seconds to take down every one of those men gathered around the girl, before he was faced with Ryosuke. Well, damn. She was impressed. The way he slaughtered those men was just...to awesome. Yeah, Sephriea could never really rid her darkness completely! "..Haha..Compete with that, you foolish chicken-dad. " She muttered to herself, laughing herself silly. "Oh, R-y-o-s-u-k-i-e-. Your plans naturally fail, just like your men. Hehehe.."

When the girl came to the glass, her sarcasm and troublesome mood dwindled down a little, as the new feeling of helplessness worked it's way through. "..Uh...I don't...normally ...get caught...I'm no weakling, got it?! He just..got the upper hand by fancy stealth jets and power dampening...things..." Ugh, she felt so weak now. "Tell your friend to back away, that thing he's talking to isn't really there. It's just a holographic image.. He's to chicken to come out and show himself. " And smart.

Standing up now, she began to move away from the glass at the side where the girl was, in case her plan worked, she didn't really want to hurt the girl in the process. Taking hold of her sword, a icy blue aura began to flow over the entire length of the blade. "This better work.." She hated to lose. With all her strength, Sephriea swung with everything she had into striking the glass. The moment of impact also triggered the strongest of her ice magic, which may or may not of helped while in this glass cage which also had it's own magic to keep things like this from happening!

Mark blinked a few times, looking at the girl who was explaining that she wasn't a weakling. Mark just stared for a second, before showing a large, cheery smile, eyes closed and all, as if to try to appease her worries. Knowing Sephriea though, it might just anger her more. She then went back to inspecting the glass container...
Blinking as Sephriea began to charge some sort of... ice-based attack, Mark seemed to immediately get another idea. Waving her arm at Eliwood, she pointed frantically at the spot that Sephriea was about to strike with her ice. If she could still generate enough power to summon ice, it should freeze the container over for a moment--at least until the container may or may not fix itself.

Eliwood nodded, apparently perfectly understanding the gesturing of the girl. "I've got it!" Pulling on the reigns, his horse reared, before sprinting towards the container. Only a moment after Sephriea used her attack, Eliwood would bring the blazing blade down with tremendous force onto the container, and with any luck, it should shatter at least one side of it--enough for Sephriea to escape.
As the container shattered, Mark's cheerful smile returned, and she did a celebratory hop. Another plan executed perfectly! She turned around as it seemed the enemies were fleeing. She did a little wave as they did.
"Mark, your plans never cease to impress," Eliwood said as he dismounted his horse. He looked to Sephriea. "Are you alright? If you're hurt, we can treat you." She didn't seem to be damaged outwardly at least. Mark walked over to stand beside Eliwood. "Ah, pardon me. I should introduce myself. My name is Eliwood, Marquess of Pherae. It's my honor to meet you. This is Mark, the genius tactician who guided me through untold numbers of battles." Mark blushed slightly, waving her hand in a melodramatic manner as if to say "stop it with the flattery!" But a moment later, she smiled that same cheerful smile at Sephriea, waving at her in greeting. "We're not from around here, to say the least... But when we see someone in danger, we can't just stand by and do nothing." Mark glanced at Eliwood, pointing at Sephriea a few times and shaking her head. "...Ah, not that we don't think you couldn't handle yourself. You seem very capable, but we're just natural interlopers I suppose!" He laughed a bit. "We've been using this ruined town as a base and shelter for a while--we appeared only a short distance from here. We weren't sure which way would be the way towards civilization--or if the people we found would be very welcoming, for that matter--so we've been surveying the area carefully and trying to find different landmarks and such to identify where we are and where we're going. It was all Mark's idea, of course--I could never think up something so clever and calculated." For someone who didn't exactly seem very talkative, she certainly must have been able to convey a lot to the people she traveled with...

Oh, gods. This girls cheery smile reminded her of both Lily and Ariel's. The overly happy kind, how did such a thing exist in anyone? It may of irritated her some, but just this once, she would let it go. The girl was obviously trying to help, she also seemed to innocent to really get angry at! It would be like getting mad at Aerith or Isabel, such a thing was not possible apparently.
In the next moment, Sephriea had readied herself to strike the glass. She didn't know if it would actually work, what with the magic barriers inside the dome, her own magic was greatly reduced, but maybe. Just a small chance it may just be enough to freeze it to a breaking point. Her strike, combined with Eliwood's own weapon which completely surprised her, sent the glass into many thousands of shards in the area it was struck. The hole big enough for her to get out without a single scratch on her. "..Ah ha..." Sephriea raised her hand, scratching the side of her head nervously. God, it took a lot out of her to say something NICE for a change! "..Y-yeah..Thank you..both.." Being rescued by someone else was just so.....so foreign to her. It didn't feel normal! "That was impressive...I mean, you knew exactly what I was about to do, and followed up so perfectly with your partner.." Yeah, the girl looked so innocent, but held some serious skills when it came to tactics. "....." Sephriea sheathed her weapon, glancing back to the two after it was out of the way. "..It's ..a pleasure to meet you both..I'm Sephriea. " Ahh, how was she supposed to address them? Especially Eliwood there. She was not used to being formal..with anyone. Not even the royal Serenitians! "..Are you uh, a knight? ..Or a Prince? Maybe a King? " No, no. She wasn't going Teresa on him, she was just simply curious. There were so many men lately that were royalty, and Eliwood here didn't look any different in her eyes. "Don't worry, I know all about this. You aren't the only ones who appeared in this world, um, if you didn't know that already? It's not just a place, but uh, assurances like this have been happening for several years now. People from other worlds are finding their self here, no one has yet figured out why or how to stop it.." Sephriea's serious face began to melt away with a faint, tiny smile. "..Oh, it's alright...I mean, it's...painful to admit, but I don't think I would have gotten out of there had it not been for the two of you. That time, he cheated with stealthy jets. I've never been caught before by that little worm..It definitely won't happen again! Sephriea paused a moment, only to then extend both hands outward. "Well, guess what. I can help you now. Take my hands, and I will take you to a safe city. Um, you might want to grab your horse too, so we all will go together. I mean, you can't wander out here forever and civilization isn't big around these area's..Do you mind? The city is called Midgar, we have a sanctuary, if you want to call it that, but it's more like a castle that for some even weirder reason, we call it a mansion! ....A-Anyway, it's a base for all off-worlders to stay and have shelter, and if you are comfortable with it, help keep the city, and all of this crazy planet safe. "

"No need for thanks--we were happy to help." Eliwood said with a kind, reassuring smile. Mark nodded with her own cheerful smile. These two were very clearly the sort of genuine people who always wanted to help when they could. "Haha, thank you. But I could have done none of it if not for Mark and her guidance. She's also the one who came up with the plan to get all the enemies around her so I could take them all at once. Though I didn't want her putting herself in danger... she was confident." Mark put her hands on her hips, beaming. "And it went off without a hitch. Heh, I should know better than to question her by now!" Not that he thought it wouldn't work, but more so he was just worried they might try something indecent. Though Mark knew that all-too well he was sure, and she knew it would work regardless. "Oh no, I'm not royalty. I'm a noble--only a Lord. But please, feel free to address me only as Eliwood. I am no Lord here, after all." This was a foreign world, so title and rank meant very little here. Eliwood and Mark glanced at each other as she mentioned they were in a different world, but Eliwood nodded. "We thought it might be something like that... those projectile weapons and that flying thing weren't around in our world." They weren't the only ones from worlds such as that, of course. "A place where off-worlders congregate, is it? I suppose that would be the best place to find anyone we may know... And even if we don't, it would be best to find safety." He glanced at Mark. "What do you think?"
Mark paused for a moment, looking from Eliwood to Sephriea, then pondering for a moment... then, she looked up with that same cheerful smile, nodding. She poked Eliwood on the chest, and pointed to her ring finger.
"Ahaha... I would rather Ninian not have to be thrust into a new world, but you're right... she could be here. And if she is..." He turned to Sephriea. "Very well. We trust you." He and Mark both extended their arms, taking one of Sephriea's hands. Mark figured if this was a trap, she could deal with it when they got there. But they were running low on food, and their options were dwindling, so... this was likely better than dying out here from dehydration or starvation.

User Image

Tired... The young elf princess was so very tired. Alisa had been running for what felt like hours at this point. She didn't want to face her friends again--not right now. Which was probably good, considering she had no teleportation or flight powers, so she was mostly stranded unless she asked someone for help through her mind. ...But she really didn't want to do that. She let out a sigh as she finally plopped herself down, leaning against a tree. The one tree for quite a distance around them... Oh well, she didn't really care enough to question it. The important thing was that she could be alone here, isolated to work through her emotions. ...Or just sob quietly to herself. Why did her day have to be ruined so much? It was Krul's fault, ultimately. She would have to have revenge... or... something. She sighed. She really didn't have the energy for all that. Pulling her legs together and up to her chest, she leaned her head against them while her arms were around them, sighing. ...If only she hadn't had the stupid feelings in the first place, this wouldn't have happened. Could she really blame Krul for it? ...Why did she even hope that her feelings might be reciprocated? Hoping only led to disappointment. It was the same thing every time. Why was she so impossible to love? She shook her head, trying to keep the tears back. She needed to stop. Thinking this way would just get her worked up, and it wasn't Phoenix's fault she wasn't interested in girls... she knew that, but... the whole thng just made her self esteem reach all new lows. Which was pretty impressive, because it was pretty terrible already.
Maybe she just shouldn't return to Midgar at all. She couldn't imagine just... being around Phoenix again, and pretending nothing happened. She felt like she had ruined everything, and it was entirely by accident. And it's not like she could just chat with Unisha either. And what if everyone else found out somehow? ...Ugh. Maybe she should try to find somewhere else to live. She.... couldn't just go on like nothing happened...

"Did you really have to run? " And there was that voice she was so desperately trying to avoid. It came from directly behind her, at the other side of the tree. Phoenix wasn't the kind of friend who would just..walk away and let her run off in a emotional mess, her emotions were exactly what made tracking her so easy this time around, and with barely any sound to be heard, she made her way to land at the other side of the tree, Alisa was so caught up in her thoughts she most likely didn't think to try and keep her senses or guard up. Another reason she was here.
Phoenix slid back down the tree, leaning against it. She wouldn't rush over to her, she wouldn't invade her space, or even let her see her, unless of course, Alisa came to her willingly. All she would do now, was talk and remain out of her sight. "I didn't tell Unisha anything, she suspects nothing, and I ensured her to go back to Midgar. It's just me and you, and....your secret remains just between us. " Sighing softly, she hoped somehow Alisa would calm down a little, but who knew? She couldn't possibly understand the feelings she was feeling right now, having never been in a situation like this. It was a wonder if Phoenix liked anyone that way. "Alisa...No matter what, were friends, and it's going to stay that way. Rather you like it or not, I won't abandon you, I won't hate you or feel uncomfortable around you. I'm happy to know how you feel, honestly. Even if I can't return those feelings in the way you wish for, It made me feel loved. Not just as some princess, not as someone sucks up to and makes up lies about, it was true to your heart, each word you spoke..and that means so much to me..I just, I want to remain as your friend, your childhood friend forever. Is that not good at all? It won't be much different, we'll still get into trouble, we'll still drive everyone mad, because that's what we do best together, isn't it? " Her attempt to put any form of a smile on her face was probably not going so well, but she could hope. "If you really want me to go, then you have to at least...Let me take you somewhere safe. After that I will leave you alone, and give you as much time as you need, but if you choose to stay in this creepy-as-hell-area, I'm not going to leave your side. Got it? " She wasn't completely dull, she knew Alisa her whole life! She knew treating her with sympathy would get no where, she needed a stern, absolute conversation to possibly have any chance of listening to her.

"...Do you have no respect for my feelings." Alisa said solemnly, barely phrasing it like a question. "I don't mean to be rude, but you're the last person I want to speak to right now." It just magnified the entire situation--her embarrassment, shame, and sadness. Every word she heard Phoenix say was like a punch to the gut. "Stop! Just... stop." She interrupted her as she started to talk about how they were friends. "Don't you get it?!" Her voice began to tremble. "I can't do this right now, Phoenix! I can't... I don't know if I ever will again. Things aren't that simple... I wish this had never happened. If only I didn't have these stupid feelings in the first place..." That would've saved her a lot of heartache, that was for sure. She drew an arrow out of her quiver, stabbing it into the ground beside her. "I'm sorry I kissed you. I... had no business doing that." That was one of the things she regretted most. She nocked an arrow. "You deserved something special, and instead you got a basically-drunk idiot friend forcing you into it.... ugh..." Never mind it was also her own first kiss, but she was much more concerned about Phoenix here. Raising her bow as she sat there, she pointed it directly forward. "I appreciate you trying to make things better, but this can't be fixed with a few kind words and laughs..." She let the arrow fly, whizzing through the air at ludicrous speed and staying airborne far longer than any arrow should, thanks to her magic. It continued flying for a very, very, very long way... until eventually stabbing into the ground an entire continent or so away. "You have no reason to feel bad about anything..." she was the idiot here. "...Now, please, leave... or I will." With her two arrows set, it would take only a few moments to connect them with her magic and open a portal between them. It would take longer than usual since they were so far apart, though...

"......" Phoenix fell silent, she was at a total loss of what to do here. What WAS the right thing to do? Let her stay here, let her wander alone with an emotional meltdown? "I respect you and your feelings. But I also worry about your safety, is that so bad? " She sighed again, she wasn't making this any easier. "If you're going to go, then go somewhere SAFE. Can you at least promise me that? " Gritting her teeth, Phoenix's eyes narrowed a little. She had no reason to feel bad about anything? ...Right. That would work, she would just...wish that away. Totally!

"...." Alisa lowered her head, tears welling in her eyes. Did she really have to leave like that? She finally found somewhere to rest, and she had to run again? ...Not that that was why tears were welling, obviously... "Wh-why does my gender matter?" She blabbed that without thinking. She just... couldn't stop herself. "If everything was the same between us, but I was a man... would your answer be different? ...I can't... control it..." ...But similarly, Phoenix couldn't control her attraction. She knew it wasn't fair to say this, but she couldn't help how she felt. She sat there, unmoving, a hand on her arrow stuck into the ground. ...The arrows were connected now. She could leave any moment. ....But she stayed. "....Please... just answer that." If everything between them was the same, but she was a man instead of a woman... would that change her answer?
