Callysto collected Sparrow and Harmony's assignments, setting them in a neat stack on her desk. "Thank you, I will read them and get back to you." She stated, turning her attention to a large tome before her.

Aludra Yvette... Aludra grumbled irritably, not being able to figure out this assignment or language. She has been alot more moody then usual and had been getting easily frustrated over simple things... maybe she needed to sleep more. She let out a frustrated sigh and decided to write the one thing she did know how to say. 'A loue ye.' ALudra wrote down that little sentence on paper and handed it over to the Professor. ...7th Year Slytherin

Adaleide WilliamsDon't mess with me. — Slytherin ; Sixth Year Adaleide had not been looking forward to Language class at all, but when she walked in, she was awestruck. The woman teaching the class was absolutely gorgeous. Adaleide took a seat and stared at her with wide eyes. "I'm new here Professor. Would you mind telling me what it is we are working on today?"

Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain Sparrow leans back in her chair and yawns. She wondered when they would get a new lesson for this wonderful subject. She started to doodle a little while she waited for something to start.

 Parseltongue "Five points from Gryffindor for tardiness." The professor drolled from her desk. She studied her students carefully, noting most of them were bored. Callysto sighed; language was certainly an odd subject, especially when the class focused on all languages, not one. She caught Aludra's eyes and gave her a wink.
"Change of plans." The half-elf stood, smirking at her students. "Today we will start on Parseltongue. The language of snakes."
"Listen carefully." Callysto let out a string of hisses; to many, each sound would sound alike, but to a trained ear, each movement of the tongue produced a unique sound.
"The most common Parsel-sound can be produced by placing the tip of your tongue at the bottom of your front teeth. Be careful not to touch the roof of your mouth and your tongue should be curled slightly. Now breathe outward; as if you are making the English 'th' sound."
The head of Slytherin waited patiently for her students to begin their attempts at the beautiful snake language.

And Seeker Sparrow frowned as points were taken from Gryffindor. She was new for goodness sake and she didn't take points away from the new Slytherin! Sparrow then heard Professor tell them to practice Parsletongue. She was afraid to start this, but believed it might be possible for her. She did as Professor had instructed and a hissing sound came out of her mouth. Sparrow wondered if she had done it right and continued to try it out.

Parseltongue The third year Gryffindor, the one who was always drawing, frowned at the loss of house points.Though Callysto was certain she wasn't a fan of the half-elf the young girl was the first of the students to attempt the difficult hissing sounds. Callysto moved quickly, standing in front of Sparrow. "Very well done." She praised, nodding.
"Now push your tongue forward." The professor demonstrated her instructions, her long tongue darted halfway out. The sound which was produced was just slightly different. She leaned forward, her mouth close to the girls ear. "Lisssten." She whispered in a mixture of English with the Parseltongue sounds. "Tttth." The soft sound was short and low. She pressed her tongue past her teeth. "Tthhhh." The resulting hiss was harsh; more drawn out than the last, and just slightly more audible.

Sparrow's eyes widened as Professor hissed next to her. Sparrow thought that Professor was very good at these and then thought well of course she is, she is the language professor!! Sparrow then attempted the instructions she was given. She breathed and tried it. Pushing her tongue out farther Sparrow produced a quiet sounding Ttth that was nothing like the professor's. Sparrow tried again and the result was slightly improved. She imitated the Professor once more and got something close to the professor's first Tttth.

 Harmony Trumarie...
Harmony's eyes widened slightly in surpise. 'Parseltounge is an arduous language to speak, Professor!' she thought miserably as she sucked on the edge of her sugar quill. Harmony sighed in resignation, and practiced her hissing."TTTttttthhh."" Harmony hissed, it was so foreign to her, she tried again. "Tthhhhhhh." Her tounge darted out from behind her teeth. 'Is that right?' Harmony thought, frowning.

Parseltongue The third years eyes widened and Callysto wondered exactly what had caused that reaction, though she was pleased with it. Does she have a fear of snakes? Or perhaps a fear of the language master? The half-elf smirked, it didn't matter either way. "Improving." She said. She waved her hand indicating to the girl she should keep attempting the unusual sounds.
A Slytherin girl began making the same attempts, though she was clearly having a hard time of it. "Keep it up." She called over to the girl.

And Seeker Sparrow nodded as professor told her she was improving and indicated to keep practicing. She was deadly afraid of snakes and wondered if she might accidentally say something that would attract a snake if she was practicing outside the classroom. She took a couple deep breaths and tried to focus on the lesson. She once again tried and what came out was "Tttth" then another tried brought out a "Tthhh" which was closer to what Professor had done. She did it again and what came out frightened herself, a sharp and slightly louder hissing "Ttthhhh" came out.

Parseltongue "Excellent." Callysto hissed, in Parseltongue. "5 points to Gryffindor." She awarded, though she didn't change her language. "Keep going," She urged the third year. "It will get easier."
