"Some students took that route?" said Malodore, startled. "Possente Candlejack..."
It shook its head and then nodded at Junko. "Precisely. The strongest should be here, not guarding the road that leads here. Perhaps these things... are decoys?"

(Quarria's coming in from Icy Path, Gromble Train. Took her long enough. (See her quest for appearance. (Eh I'll add it to my next post. XD;; (Note for others: Quarria is a thirty-foot-long serpent-dragon with huge feathered wings right now. ^^; ))
Quarria's long wing beats easily took her the last distance, and she was flying low into Christmas town at this point. She hadn't seen Gabrian yet, and was starting to get a littler worried. Then, she noticed some figures she knew out of the corner of her eye. It was Sin and Junko! She quickly descended and curved around until slid into the snow near them. "Sin! Junko! I'm glad you made it!" She called, slithering her way over to where her friends were.
"I'm sorry if you were confused when I didn't show up at the Island. I felt I was better needed up in the snow where I could help keep people warm." She looked genuinely sorry, and the huge serpent looked a bit happier as she ruffled her feathers. "Well, at least I've found you. Would you like a ride? I need some body warmth. Oh, and have you seen Gabrian? We were seperated when I was attacked by some crazed-yet-oddly-honest yeti." She asked, shifting her wings so that the girls could climb aboard if they wanted. "I'd really like to make it up to you for not going with you by giving you a ride. Do any of your aquaintances here want a ride either?" She asked, for good measure.
(Note to self, Quarria has 15 health points.)

"Spider cider?" Cyrilla echoed the siren's statement. Well, that certainly explained the antics on the train, as well as his strange behaviour in the forest. Though, in retrospect, given the entire situation, she couldn't hold it against the boil. Well, in the forest anyways, she wasn't so certain about the train.
Either way, it had helped free her friend's tongue, so she didn't really care much beyond that. "I'm Cyrilla." She offered in return. "Nice to meet you both." Before she could say anything else, her head whipped around to see Lucien go stumbling forward.
Luckily the boil seemed alright as he pulled himself back up. She just chuckled softly, trying not to bring attention to the laugh. Moments like these were certainly making this entire ordeal easier, though she turned to look back to the bridge. Apparently she'd been separated from Mei when she'd run over to Merope's side. Frowning she grew concerned.
"Mero, did you notice Mei come across?"

Nuk's ear swiveled towards the Pricolici as she lay leaned down low against his body, not sure if she was just sapping warmth or was comforted by his presence. Although he couldn't see her, he could hear the dislike in her whispered voice, a sentiment he echoed whole-heartedly. The sooner they were out of this place, the better. And as much as the skinwalker loved the idea of ripping apart some poor toy or tree or whatever, there was nothing he could do. He wasn't going to willingly go find something... he'd heard rumors, rumors of a peppermint smelling NINJA who had taken out about TWENTY students with one slash of it's sword. Those students had taken Candycane Lane, the direct route to Santa's Workshop, and the on Hellma had SPECIFICALLY told them not to. That's what happened when you went looking for a fight.
Besides, he had some precious cargo he wasn't going to risk for just anything.
In the end, the skinwalker exhaled heavily in response to her 'please,' the only real response he could offer, which was probably just as well. It was quieter than any response he could have offered in his human-form. Still, in the end it didn't matter. The sound of elves and crazy-looking deer began to echo off the buildings a little ways away, making it difficult to tell where it was coming from. Nuk's muscles tensed, crouching down and leaping a good few feet out of the way, Shehk and all, as one of the elves charged down the street with a candy-cane shiv. Snow practically exploded in all directions as they landed, and he waited a good few minutes before relaxing a little, looking back at the Pricolici to see if she was ok.

"Yes..." Malodore was right to be suspicious and Sin was as well. "I have a feeling that this is nothing. The workshop itself will no doubt be the most heavily guarded. Whatever was on the Candycane lane probably pales in comparison to whats protecting Sandy Claws and his things. I suggest we attempt to enter unified so that whatever we face we aren't alone."
She frowned and eyed the area around them, truthfully they were in a bad position. Colorful buildings all around them and there they all walked leaving perfectly dark trails in the snow. Anything could be watching them waiting to strike from those cheerful glowing windows. The scent of baking pies could mask all sorts of toxins in the air. They were like sitting ducks, and Sin did not like relinquishing the upper hand. "We better keep moving..." She finally murmured. "As weak as these deer and such are, they can wear us down and leave us easy pickings for something stronger."

Merope still look confused after Israfel's explanation. Booze was another thing he was unfamiliar with, even if the taste still lingered on his tongue. It made him feel a bit warm which was nice, but the taste... He made a note to avoid it in the future, at least until he became curious about it later and wanted to try it again. Oh well, another point added to the 'Crazy Land Things' tally!
"I'm Merope," he replied, echoing, "It's a pleasure to meet you both. I owe you one for helping me get free from that." Merope added, turning to shoot the metal pole a glare. Could he knock it over? Maybe, but considering what it did to his tongue, the undead wasn't sure he wanted to see what it could do to the rest of him.
As Lucien fell, Merope looked down at him. "Whoah there, you all right?" He asked, "Had a rough time hiking here too? Or...?"
Then Cyr brought up a point. "Wait. You mean you haven't seen her?" He asked, staring at her. "I thought she was with you! I needed to get one last swim in..."

"I'm glad then. Oh Lucy!" The Siren's nickname for the ghost was far too feminine yet with all his constant tripping..." You're not used to being on the ground so much are you?" He was used to seeing his friend floating and hadn't thought much of it. Speaking of- "CANDLEJACK Lucy! You haven't got shoes!" Alarm rang out as the Siren began to make squawks of concern. "Do I need to make you shoes? Are your feet cold? Are you cold?" Feathers went upright as concern rose. "You guys don't have and extra shoes do you?" The siren felt terrible, his friend and been shoeless and he's not noticed! Not only were the boil's feet probably frozen, but it was totally unfashionable to wear no shoes in the snow.
Seriously.

Eight "I don't see any of the students who took Candy Cane Lane...maybe whatever was there was stronger than here? Though you'd think they'd have the strongest here." Maybe they figured everyone would be stupid enough to take the shorter road and damn the consequences? Either way Junko wasn't going to complain about not being attacked. She nodded in agreement with Sin. Anything was better than being wiped out by Sandy Claws. "I'll take a couple elves and reindeer over a drunk, overly-friendly tree any day though." She said with a shudder at the memories from the forest; those trees were just wrong. Another foamy mouthed deer pops out of the snow. Could it be kin to the one fighting Sin? Who knows. Most importantly.. RUN! HP: 6Miss

Lucien put his hands on his head as he held them there for a bit, giving his head a small rub before he slid them down to adjust his goggles. There was plenty that could make the air elemental not all right, but there was at least one thing that was making him all right and it kept him going for now. He could not stop while that one thing was there.
Oh no. Israfel had noticed he fell. Oh no. Israfel was panicking. Oh no. Israfel noticed Lucien didn't have shoes on.
"I'm all right," he said, using his leg to rub subtly against his other.
"It's been a little rough having to walk on the ground," he admitted.
He had never worn shoes before. He had never needed them when he walked on air and certainly didn't have any before he got on the train, and when the siren mentioned them he was absolutely speechless. He didn't know what to say.

"I thought she was with me, but I got distracted by your predicament." her face was worried as she stared back across the bridge. As terrible as it sounded, she didn't really want to go back across. "I hope she's alright. Maybe she met up with that black wolf guy she was yelling at from your back on the way to the island? She seemed to know him." her voice was hopeful.
Turning to look back at the siren, she looked down at her own feet, which did not bear shoes. Then to Merope. who currently lacked feet.
"I think you're out of luck with the shoe department." she pointed at both her feet then at Merope.
"Not big on shoes ourselves."
