She looks up at him and wiped her tears away blushing some wishing it was someone else who came to speak to her. "I.. My mother has a dark mark... I never knew what it was but I saw it acouple years ago.. she woke up in the night crying. i went to see what was wrong and saw her scratching at it in pain. she hit me yelling at me that i was never to repeat what i saw to anyone..." she sniffles leaving out the snake thing for now.

"Your mom's a Death Eater?" Harry said stupidly, in amazement. That explains why my scar hurts around her, he thought, she's not a Death Eater-her mother is.

She nods hugging her legs "I think somehow she was forced into it. she is not an evil person.. far from it.. she is good.. she loves keeping others safe and loves animals"

"Since she hasn't gone to rejoin Voldemort, I'd say she was either under the Imperius Curse, forced into it, or has seen the error in her ways." Jenny said, walking over with Ron, having heard it all. "I doubt she'll last very long, though. Death Eaters don't usually live long after abandoning You-Know-Who, dad says. Bill says they found the body of that bloke who used to be Headmaster of Durmstrang in a shack up north. He says that Sirius's brother didn't last a day after leaving." Ron said, sitting down next to Victoria.

"she will not tell me but I know we have not been in this area of the world since Harrys parents died.. we moved to Australia as soon as that happened and we changed our names and moved around alot.." she looks at Jenny and Ron "my mother has lived for along time outside of his grasp.."

Jenny threw Ron a you're-not-helping look, then looked at Victoria. "She's smart, then, if she's moving around a lot. Voldemort-Ron get OVER it!-will have trouble finding her." Harry nodded. He was also glad Victoria did not ask who Sirius was.

"she worries about me.. she risked her life to come here so I would be safe... After all the running and worrying about this area why would she come back? we where safe there.. Voldemort was not whispered on the winds like here" Victoria looks at ron rolling her eyes "you really think nagative you know that.. his name is just a name nothing bad about that" she smiles some feeling down. she wondered if she should mention the snake talking to them.

Ron suddenly became extremely interested in cloud formations. "Maybe word that he's back hasn't reached Canada yet?" Jenny suggested, ignoring Ron. "Even with Apparating and rumors, people aren't going to believe their worst fears have been realized. Remember that it wasn't until last year that the Ministry admitted Voldemort was back? It's probably like that in a lot of places now."

the color drained from her face fast the thought of that gave her a wave of nasia. her chest heaved and she leans over throwing up gripping her stomach.

"EEEYUCK!" JEnny shrieked, jumping to her feet to avoid being splattered by vomit. "I think you should go see Madam Pomfrey!" Harry, however, was deep in thought. There was apsolutely no way....But, that would explain his scar searing with pain when she touched him....Why the hat seriously considered putting her in Slytherin....

She wiped her mouth and pulled her wand out using a spell to make the vomit disapear "thank you so much for that mental image.." she rubs her head sighing "I should go see her.. I.. feel like I might faint." she got up slowly taking deep breaths. she takes a step before fainting into Harry compleatly out cold.
