When the lights went out, Barth found himself suddenly squashed between Sheeki (who was glowing), Alwine, (who was apologizing) and Belladonna (who was...Belladonnaing).

He tried to answer in the affirmative, but only managed a muffled, "Hrrrk!"

Igneous had zoned out a little when she realized she was one the train without any of her friends. It was only when the lights went out that she came back to herself - and of course the pitch dark confused her immensely. What had happened?!

"Where did all the lights go?" she asked of anyone near her. She nervously began feeling around her to see if she was alone in the dark.

She didn't realize that she had closed her eyes in reaction to the scream and had yet to open them to see the faint glow of some of the ghosts in the car.

He was just smiling and nodding to the ghoul who thanked him when the lights sputtered out. It took his eyes a heartbeat to adjust, but once they did he saw fairly well, especially in the faint light from some of the more glow-y students. He was a night-bird after all, though he relied so much more on his-

His hands flew to his ears at the scream. It was shrill and painful and for a moment he lost the temper he didn't really have, knowing full well who was making the sound.

"Bella shut it!" he yelled at her just before she caught herself and snapped her mouth shut. He fell back into his chair with a moan, feeling like his ears were bleeding. They weren't, of course, but that's how much it hurt.

Jack! That ghoul had a set of lungs on her! Rubbing her ears as they finished ringing Mandy grumbled under her breath about loud car's and stupid people that won't shut it. Seeing as she was already sitting as requested Mandy just sat back and glowered at the darkness.

A quiet growl issued out of the throat of the cat god as the cabin's light went dead, his glowing eyes piercing the darkness, and assortment of shinies illuminating against his clothing. Hearing the worry in Rain's voice didn't help, but he didn't feel anything wrong with the last time.

Hearing Belladonna's short scream, his eyes betrayed his location as he gazed in her direction, his hands flailing lightly in the dark towards her. "Hush dear-Belladonna, you should be fine. Anyone who needs help finding their seat, I'm a walking flashlight, sort of." He murmured, before taking a few unsteady steps, his glow rebounding lightly off the fabric of a few chairs.

"First we should figure out what happened to our lights. Stay close to people." He stating, finding the irony that he was partnerless.

Alessa had decided to ignore Mandy, because it was that or crush her feet with the heel of her boot. Okay, no, she wasn't that violent. She had been taking too many lessons with that Nix if she was starting to think that was her best course of action in an argument. Instead she had taken a seat near Alwine, in case Mandy decided to give her more grief than Alessa could allow, and tried to get over the motion sickness she was starting to feel. She really did not like trains. Closing her eyes had helped, though, and she had dozed off a little until there was an uproar of panic. When she opened her eyes it was...oddly dark.

"Hu? What happened?" She blinked, letting her eyes adjust to the light, or lack there of. She could see a little, probably better than some. She heard the thunking and snapping sounds a little too loudly. Feeling completely out of the loop, which was probably displayed by her lack of fear toward the situation, she asked, "Is...this a weird new kind of battleship? Guys?"

This time it was Belladonna's turn to profusely apologize for the ungodly loud scream.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, oh, I'm really sorry!!" She turned to whatever direction Merope had been, mumbling a soft, "I'm ok, thanks. This is just... Really bad." And then some odd noise started and she apologized again, before turning to wherever Alwine was glowing softly.

"D-do you... Think you could go see what that noise was?! If its something bad... We should stop it!" Now she turned back to Bartholomew's chest, talking to it instead of looking up at him. "Do you think you could sit? I'll sit too..." Obviously she failed to mention that she was probably going to sit on him, but that scratching noise was making her start to tremble.

WHAT WAS THAT? Someone just entered the train and it didn't sound like a pink elephant. It seemed that Jack was going to investigate. She began to follow him, close enough that she benefited from his light but enough space that others could squeeze between them if needed.

"Who...whoever just.. boarded this car.. show yourself and if you are not on the roster, I will be very.. very angry indeed!" She tried to sound tougher than she felt. She wished she could see and she wished she wasn't wearing the damnable pin. With it, she was useless. Her claws were about it if she had to protect these students but if it came to it, she would. She was responsible for their safety.
