Though an attack wasn't on the Cubone's mind at the moment as he tries his best to slide out of the way of the charging pokemon. He had shifted to defensive, and the next chance he got ...he was going to try and break that pokemon's spine. His tail lifted up so as not to get in the way as his eyes narrowed to a point as he made that move to slide away from the incoming attack.
He was more than ready for what was going to happen next.

[Yeah, I have help ...but it's just a matter of getting the Treecko class back under wraps and it would be perfect]
Though the Ekans would make it back to the safety of Joseph's side ...as the flames would hit the sands and start to melt the sands ...turning it into glasses right in front of both of their eyes.
The Ember was hot, but the Ekans once more held the advantage as he hisses from close by Joseph's leg.
[Move, and I will kill your trainer]
He hissed before he would turn on himself and lunge again ...at his opponent with another Poison Tail swung right at the leg of the Charmeleon.

Flare's eyes widened. Joseph shouted. "Flare! Come on! Move!" He could not figure out why Flare would just stand there, he knew he was listening, but he just would not move. Flare waited for the Ekans to get closer.... but this was not how it was going to end, Flare would not allow it. ( Coward ) Flare stated to the Ekans, as he shifted his arm to grab the Ekans' tail around the safe area, to stop the attack. [I swear if I get a one...]

[Okay, let's talk about how to figure out damage, and second ...you might want to edit your post to a defense post. Otherwise, your pokeball will be shattered, because, you can't throw a pokeball during your defensive phase.]
[First you start off figuring out damage by subtracting the two accuracy rolls =16 - 3
Then you subtract your pokemon's attack = 8 - versus cubone's defense 9 = 12dmg]
Cubone
lvl: 2/Mild
Hp: 2/14 Pp: 17 Att: 7 Def: 8 Spd:7 Sp Att: 7 Sp Def: 7
Moves: Growl, Skull Bash
Capture roll: 3
The pokemon was hit, and nearly knocked out on that first move. Though he wasn't as his eyes narrowed and he then drew forward to try and slam his head against the head of the Bagon in the usage of an Skull Bash attack.

The move would work as the Ekans tail would be held in the Charmeleon's grasp. The poisonous limb ......as he hissed loudly and in anger. He hadn't expected the catch as he tries to pull his tail back, and try to knock the pokemon off balance enough that whatever attacks might be coming next would fail horribly ....as he hissed back in his face.

Both things came as it's own form of an insult. For both things were considered lesser than lizards in all account, and the first the same as being nothing more than a slave.

"Flare, ember close range!" Flare attempted to burst a flame onto the snake, while he could have it in his grasp. But then it would have to see whether the Ekans shook loose or no.

[Fine, I am going to start with your last post since you got a bit confused. Now, the next post is your attack and you can throw your pokemon if you want this turn.]
[8 - 3 + 7 - 8 = 4dmg to Sora]
The Cubone would stop the thrash with his last attack ...as he shift once more to the defensive. There was pain in him then, and he had to admit it wasn't nice at all ...as he looked at his opponent with pain and dread. Maybe, he shouldn't have taken that human's shouts as a cause to battle as he tries to defend himself as best he could.

[ To figure out damage, you start off first by subtracting the two accuracy rolls: 19 - 15 = 4dmg
Then you subtract next your pokemon's Sp attack 8 - 7 and my pokemon's Sp defense = 1 dmg
Then add the two together for damage = 5dmg]

This time the Ekans would be hit and hard by the attack as his tail still caught up in the Charmeleon's grasp kept him from slithering away as the pain made shake it's coils upon the sands to try and put out any live embers on it's skin.
It barely avoided being burnt as it turned on it's own tail to try and lunge at it's opponent with it's fangs out wide. Joseph was forgotten as the Ekans would try to wrap his coils around his opponent's body and squeeze.
It would seem that hit had chosen to change attacks.
