The smoke was too thick to see through right now,so the two groups stayed
where they were. "Envy!? Where are you!?" Naoki coughed. "Kohaku!?" She
screamed. Naoki still didn't know what her Homunculus abilities were,she
didn't dare to even try to use them in smoke.

Rya snatched the egg from Melvin's hands. "If ya ain't gonna be glad about it then don't." She held the egg near her chest accutally having experience of talking care of a pichu egg because of all the pokemon games. She hummed a song quietly hoping that things would get brighter for the group.

"naoki?!! Shiny?!!" kohaku, still extrmeley weak wandered through the smoke. she saw a form and reached out for it
"why hello target evil " grim had spotted her
grim quickly placed her hand on kohaku's neck, holding her tight, and with her other hand started to build up flames. right before she blasted kohaku with the ball of flame, kake ran up and sliced open her arm. Bakura, who had run into kake in the smoke, grabbed kohaku and teleported outside of the flame area
it was a facedown... kake vs grim
elsewhere, melvin and rya had run into shiny. they managed to meet up with the others
"kohaku... is that you?" nope. it was the other minion, the silent one midori
envy was sick of the smoke, so he decided to jump above and check out below. at that moment he saw the two battles, naoki vs midori and grimchu vs kake. he watched for a while, entertained. he got distracted and didnt notice the blast of flame headed tworards him along with a rose thorn bomb form naokis battle.
"what the-?" envy was struck down by flames and spikes. nothiung could stop his falling to the earth until naoki saw him falling.
"ENVY?!!!" she got distracted, and midori impaled her with a rose thorn tentacle. she managed to run and catch envy. they both lay there, injured severly, midori approaching catiously.
"naoki..." envy said weakly
"yeah.." naoki coughed up a little blood

"Intertwine your heart with the Philosopher's Stone. It'll hurt like hell,but it'll
work." Ripping open her chest,wincing at the sight of guts,Naoki tore her
heart out and mixed it with the Philosopher's Stone. She got up,let her body
slowly regenerate and tried to use her powers. Naoki laid her hand on the
ice and shot up something-

it was a torrent of water
she quickly stared to transform. the pain was so intense that she could not wven see
when her transformation was complete, evny stood there, awe-struck
naoki had transformed into a breath-taking aspphire and onyx dragon. the humunculos symbol was in both of her eyes. her body was encrusted with thousands of sapphires that shimmered in the moonlight. envy looked at her for a long time and then said, blushing, "thats my girl"

Grinning,Envy transformed as well. Although,his other form wasn't a "pretty"
sight to see. Protecting each others backs,they were ready to take on
anything.
Raising both of her hands,Midori summoned a large cage of green,spiked
vines over Naoki and Envy. Laughing,Envy slashed through them with his
claws. Naoki's body trembled,each and every gem on her turning as sharp
as a razor blade.

they tried to shatter the cage, but they could not cut through the vines. Midori stood before them, hair covering her face. She looked at them seriously, like a wolf hunting its prey. she whispered in some starnge language, and the backpack on her back sprouted tentacle vines. She whispered
"target aquirred"
her glasses turned into a targeting system.
the vines whipped up tworards envy, almost severing his arm. hes stood there, bleeding prufuosly.
"NAOKI!!! USE YOUR POWER!!!"
naoki retarcted all of her spikes, and breathed slowly. the sapphires glowed, and soon after a line of the gems jutted up from the ground, heading tworards midori. they caged her in, and the vines disappeared.
"naoki... lets go help kake."
"okay"
they ran to where kake was fighting grimchu. Grim was lauging maniacly every time she shot fox fire at kake. they were obviously tired out.
"whats the matter? AFARID OF FIRE!!!!!!????" grim laghed so hard it hurt her throat.
she saw the two rushing up to her.
"MIDORI?!!"
grim teleported over to midori and picked her up.
"THIS ISNT OVER!!!" she said, lauging evilly.
they were gone in a flash.
"envy... we should see how everybody is doing." they picked up kake and carried her over to the group.

Carrying both Envy and Kake,(Yes Envy is that lazy.),Naoki ran to go find
the others. Everyone was unpacking and setting up. Naoki just noticed her
shoulders got lighter and looked to see where Envy went. She saw a tiny
green lizard perched on her shoulder. "Someone used too much power!"
Laughing,she picked up the little creature. "Don't pick me up! It's TOO
embarrassing!" Envy's real voice squeaked. Kohaku and Melvin ran up to
them,coming to help carry Kake.....

"NEKO-CHAN!!! WE NEED HELP!!!" melvin shouted.
kohaku and melvin looked at kake in horror. naoki set her down on a blanket. "it damn cold out naoki" kake said weakly "damn right, kake" naoki said sadly looking at kake.
kake had been extremley tolled by the battle. She was just a normal human, so she healed slowly and had a low tolerance for injuries. Kake had been burned terribly on the left side of her body; from neck to ankle. her breathing was labored, the result of a broken rib. kake was slowly fading. Neko-chan arrived as kake started to pass out.
"NEKO!! YOU HAVE TO HELP HER!! DONT LET HER DIE!!" naoki screamed, tears welling.
"i think i can..." neko chan took out her med-kit and pulled out a scroll
"healing style; injury rejection jutsu"
a silver light covered kake, healing her bones, and most of her scar.
neko passed out from chakra use. kake was sleeping, the only evidence from the scar was on her ankle
"thank you neko" naoki said, wipin tears away.
from the shadows, melvin watched. "DAMMIT!!" he punched a tree. "WHY AM I SO USELESS?!!" melvin sarted sobbing and ran away without being seen by the others.

"Very useless." Envy repeated. Naoki and Rya covered Kake in a bunch of
blankets. "Imagine,we were like that a few days ago." Rya said sadly. Naoki
didn't say anything,only clench her fists angrily. Rya covered Lisa in a few
blankets,too. No one had noticed Melvin left,or had even heard him,so they did
nothing.

melvin ran into the darkness;blind, cold, hungry, and tired.
he was lost
"having a tough time... binky boy..." an evil and familiar voice came from the darkness.
"when you were my minion, you showed exemplary skill and endless promise, but now."
Kagehime appeared behind him, in her true form. She whispered in his ear "i guess you're just nothing..."
melvin felt a sharp pain in his stomach. he looked down and realized that her claws had pierced him, blood spewing everywhere.
melvin coughed up copious amounts of blood as kagehime threw him to the ground. he finally got a good look at her. She had porcilain white skin with glowing red eyes and long, red hair. She had claws instead of finger, and she had very long fangs. She wore a simple outfit and nothing else.
"too bad, you would have madde a wonderful minion... you waste of life..." she transformed into melvin, outfit and all and left him to die on the ground. the snow turned to rain. melvin cried and faded into blackness...
"hey everyone!"
"MELVIN!!" they all said worried. they all agve melvin a big group hug with their umbrellas. Melvin smiled evily and his eyes turned red. everything was going accorfing to plan.

"dammit midori! you have to be careful!!! I dont ever wanna carry you that far ever again" grimchu said angrily.
midori mumbled "im sorry"
"stop with that too!!! I hate when youre all quiet and not... talking" grimchu smacked her on the head with her fist.
"but...they got me by surprise"
"THAT ISNT AN EXCUSE!!!" grim started trying to nom midoris head. "besides, we have to watch him..."
akuma was on the floor of the cave, restrained with sealing jutsu again. he was just sitting there, staring blankly.
"man, whatever master unsealed in his mind must have been traumatic..." grim shouted. she burped loudly. that was a good one. she chuckled. Midori looked at akuma, and got close to him. she kneeled down and looked at his face.
"he looks really sad and angry inside... just like when i get really mad and lose control of trent." she looked at her peculiar backpack. it had vines coming out of the six drilled holes in the sides.
"trent needs food grim."
"FINE!! Ill do it. LAZY BUTTFACE!!!!"
grim went out of the cave to find food. she heard somthing coming from the forest.
"MIDORI!!!! theyre coming. theyre about two days from here!!"
midori continued looking at akuma in pain. she just stared at him curiously.
"trent is still hungry grim. why dont you just feed him the bird exactly 3 meters from your right hand."
"could never understand what it was with you and ah midori..." grim grabbed the brid and threw it at midori. she opened her backpack. an evil man-eating plant smiled and quickly consumed the bird. midori pet it on the 'head' (?)
"good trent"

Back at camp,everyone was settling down for the night. Shiny dimmed the
fire,Kohaku,Naoki and Rya cleaned up the mess. Rya went up and asked
Kohaku-"How are we going to sleep? We just got attacked and
some of us are wounded,shouldn't the stronger be with the weak tonight?"

"well, i guess we should all sleep in one tent. that way, we wouldnt be seperated, and we could all try to heal our minds... by the way.. where is envy?"
suddenly, envy turned back into his normal form... he wasnt wearing anything.
naoki covered him up with her jacket. rya screamed. "whats wrong rya?" shiny asked. kohaku covered her eyes. nothin shiny. go outside and play with this rock." "OOOHH!!! SHINY!!! LIKE ME!!!"
envy just stood there embarassed.
melvin sood there humming some wierd tune.
they didnt talk about it for the rest of the night... envy sat in the emo corner, and naoki just sat there, daydreaming about what she had seen.
kohaku did a survey. she, lisa, and kake were incapable of battling. Bakura and rya were drained of their powers. Melvin looked like he was goin insane. Shiny was out of knives, and neko cant fight. the best hopes for battle (which was coming VERY soon) were naoki envy and the siblings.
"guys... we should start training tomorrow. i want to see what each of you can do. i also want to teach you some fighting strategies. it might not look it, but im an S-rank jonin. i know many techniques that can help each of you."
they all silently agreed... except naoki. she was too busy thinkin bout envy
