While Galain was cursing his luck, he was also wishing that he'd asked Major Foreman not to take a M41 from this Warthog. A fuel rod exploded a few yards to the left. "Shi, I suggest you get inside unless you have a plan to get rid of these Banshees. Either way, you'd better hurry. It won't be long before they zero me in." Another fuel rod exploded off to his right side. It was closer than the last one.

"I do, just get in here, I'll cover you,"Shi said while unloading a full clip on two banshees. All direct shots since the banshees were heading straight at him. The other two started to circle around like vultures. Then they tried to sandwich him between the two banshees, but Shi saw it coming and jumped out the way. The two banshees crashed and for a split second, Shi unloaded his last clip. Limping away from the wreakage, things didn't go unnoticed. Grunts were waddling towards the wreakage. "What? You guys want to return the gift? Well no refunds!" Shi said while trying to run, but tripped.

Seeing Shindo fall and with the Grunts fast approaching, Galain had to think fast. He turned the Warthog around drove straight towards the Grunts as they started to unleash a hail storm of plasma. As Gal drove past Shi, he jumped out. This resulted in the Warthog turning too hard and flipping numerous times towards the Grunts, instilling a panic. Galain used this distraction to put Shi on his shoulders and carry him just inside the main entrance's thick metal doors. "If I close the gate they'll just be able to open it from the other side." Galain then glimpses the fuel rod ammunition and an idea forms in his head. He sets up his Drop Shield over Shi and grabs a clip of the fuel rod ammunition. Gal hits the switch to close the gate and runs to the opening as it slowly closes. Right as the gates closes Galain puts the fuel rod ammunition in between the two closing doors and runs for his drop shield. The closing doors pauses for a second and then crushes the clip. The resulting explosion super heats the doors, causing them to seal together when they closed together. The explosion also completely delpletes Galain's personal shield and scorches the back side of his armor. "Nothing is getting through that....." is the last thing Galain says before losing consciousness.

Shi slowly sits up and takes notice of his surroundings. "No....Gal! Wake up soldier!" Shi said with grief in his voice, "Dev, come in, we have a man down, we'll meet you at the Evac a little later then planned." Shi sits Gal up on a nearby wall. "I wish I have paid attention in medical 101." Cursing himself for being reckless, he punches the wall. "No man will be left behind." With that thought in mind, he stands guard until Gal wakes up.

Dev had run out of ammo and now those things were chasing him. Dev heard shi's message over the com."Finally, so glad to hear from you. I got these infected humans things chasing after me, I think they were the soldiers stationed here and I've completely ran out of ammo. I'm heading for the ship I'm going to see if i can launch it and kill these things." Dev turns a corner but see's another one there so he turns left and see's a magnum lying on the ground. He grabs it turns around fires a whole clip then gets back to running. One goes down.(This isn't good I think I might get hit before I get there, I hope Shi and Gal can get here soon.)

Shi heard gun shots and screams, "Dev must be close."
"Ok change in plans Gal... oh yeah, that's right." Shi walks over and picks up Gal,
"Looks like we can't wait for you to smell the coffee." As he heads for Evac, Shi finds a magmum on the ground next to a dead marine. He starts to reach for it when the dead marine comes back to life and grabs his arm. Shi gets startled and pulls out his knife to stab the marine in the heart. "Aliens, zombies, what else? Killer robots?" Shi sighs and picks up the magmum and continues foward.

"Oh, man..... My head feels like ran over by a Warthog." Galain was slow to realize that he was being carried. "Shi? Is that you?" Galain tried to figure out where they were, but his map and radar seemed to be offline. "Hey, Shi. Put me down."

"Oh, hey your awake," Shi said while setting Gal down, " Right now we need to head to the landing pad fast, Dev is in trouble. Plus we got infected humens."

"Wait, infected with what?" Galain stopped. He needed to reboot his armor's OS, it still was refusing to bring up his maps or radar, and now his shields weren't recharging. "Damn it, I need to reboot my armor's systems, it's being troublesome."

"I like to know that to. I heard of a species that could infect the living. They call it the flood, but I doubt any is here," Shi said while walking around nervously, "I'll wait then, Dev is skilled enough to handle the infected, but we still need 2 regroup as soon as possible." Shi patrols the dead,barren hallways. He hears skittering around the corner. With his back aganist the wall he looks around the corner, "Check that Gal, we might have flood in the compund."

"Damn it all!" Galain's reboot diagnosis was worse then he thought. His shield generator was fried by the explosion after his shields gave out. That wasn't the only thing was damaged by the blast. Most of his electrical systems were offline. The only thing that worked was his Communication Device, and Force-Multiplying and Reactive Circuits. His MJOLNIR armor was now no more than a metal plated environmental suit. "Shi, most of my armor's systems are fried. I'm on my way to back you up." Gal grabbed his AR from his back and headed in the direction that he saw Shindo last go.

Dev was right at the door to the ship stationed at the base. "Guys if you can hear me, we have a problem the flood or whatever these things are have me trapped. But I'm going to takes these things on the ship and kill them." Dev was interrupted by covenant popping out from behind the boxes around the sides of the walls opening fire on the flood. "Human stay where you are or you'll be caught in crossfire." Dev just watched the carnage as flood and covenant battled, it was devastating. Then the fight ended, for now anyways. "Human, we are an elite group of covenant called Hypocrisy. We plan on taking your ship here but it seems we have a common enemy for now so I would like to call a truce in this place until they are wiped out.""Well it seems like a great idea I know that my friends are the only alive spartans here at the moment. Any idea how this happened though?" "No, but we give you our word that we'll have a truce until this is settled, in the meantime tell your troops not to kill any uninfected covenant in this base." "Will do. Shi, Gal Do not kill any uninfected covenant, repeat, do not kill any uninfected covenant. We have a truce with them until the flood are destroyed."

"A truce with those guys! I'm sorry for this, but you are crazy! I only trust one of them, I can't trust all of them," Shi said while trying to kill all the little puff balls with wires pouring out, " but Dev, I trust you that you made the right choice." With that said, Shi made his way to Dev. With Gal following right behind, things start to get interesting.

"You got to kidding me! The Covenant?" Galain sighed. He was still trying to get his systems back online, but to no avail. It was nerve-wrecking not having radar or shields. Add that to the Flood trying to kill him. Now he has to watch out for an energy sword in his back.

"Shi, Gal, it's only temporary we can get back to killing them after we kill the flood, just deal with it for now." "So we have your word that we have a temporary truce?" "For now at the moment, by the way how did you get in here?" "Through the outside vent, we are supposed to be a secret." "Well looks like when this is over I'm going to have to jack up security. Gal, come here and I'll repair your systems. Also, Shi and Gal just don't kill them shoot if you have to get them to understand, just don't kill them." Dev smacked one of the grunts which knocked him out, then he picked up his plasma rifle. The elite just laughed at the grunt for not seeing it coming. Dev walked back to the door and started whipping up a smorgasboard of death for the whatever was in the ship. "This is going to be good."
