She was a little scared as he approached but something in his eyes made her relax as if everything was okay. She stiffened slightly as he nuzzled into her but quickly relaxed and nuzzled him back. He recognized her! It was great! It had worked. Her plan had worked. She was so pleased.
She smiled at his wagging tail and twirled and swayed her own with a grin on her leopard face. Fionna hadn't known what to expect from the first encounter and things were going much better than she had even dreamed. She was surprised by Lucas' excitement to go outside and was pleased when the Headmaster obliged.
She followed the two outside keeping her eyes on Lucas and also still concentrating on her form. She didn't want to let it slip at all. She saw the nod from the headmistress and a silly little mischievous smile graced the leopard's face. She bounded forward a bit in front of Lucas and turned around with her front paws bending down in the grass while her back were up straight. It was a playful stance and her tail was swaying. She really wanted to just run around with Lucas. It would be so free and fun.

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas was so happy, he was free to be with Fionna! He barked a few times, the bark like an excited laugh. He reminded himself in the back of his head to be careful. Sometimes animals would wrestle for games, bite or scratch as a joke, he'd seen cats paw at other cats, but he had to remember not to do anything stupid or it wouldn't be much of a joke. An accidental bite here would change Fionna's life forever. He kept thinking that in the back of his mind over and over, but outwardly, didn't show his worry.
He ran around with her and when they got to one of the sides of the lake that was in front of Hogwarts, the Headmaster not too far behind, he smiled a bit. He looked at her with a bit of a tilted head and barked a couple times...let's see if the old stereotype that cats hate water is true, huh? He took his paw and placed it in the lake before batting a bit of water towards her front paws.

Changing back would be horrible and might be devastating. She tried to not let it show though and succeeded. Lucas was a bit faster than her but she managed to keep up with him most the time.
Coming to a stop at the lake, Fionna looked across it at the castle. They needed to make sure to stay far enough away from there in case of any stray students wandering around or even professors. She looked at Lucas and felt as if she could practically read his mind. She let out a small mewed slightly and couldn't help but flinch at the water hitting her. It was freezing! Even with all this fur, she was cold and the water didn't help much. She bounded down to him though and jumped into the shallow part right next to him soaking the both of them.

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas barked in laughter at the sight of her flinching and his eyes widened when she was about to...oh great. He grinned it..that were possible? and shook himself off. He barked a couple times at her, dangitt he was soaked and this water was sooo cold! He made sure that when he shook his fur off as an overlarge dog that it was right next to her.
He bounded off to the shallow edge of the water and licked his paws dry in a couple seconds. He wasn't sure what to do, really. He couldn't just sit around and talk with her, he couldn't play his guitar, there was no one else around SQUIRREL. He saw a squirrel running around the edge of the woods. His eyes and the beady squirrel's eyes met. Instinct kicked in, he was a wolf right now, he wasn't really Lucas. He barked loudly and ran off with surprising speed. He barked as he ran off into the woods. From the corner of his eye he saw a doe and a leopard trying to stop him, but it didn't register. Dangitt, Lucas, turn around! He was screaming at himself. SQUIRREL! GOTTA CATCH IT!

It was as close to a laugh as a wolf could come she supposed. Her eyes widened when he shook off on her and she growled slightly in playfulness. She shivered and strolled behind Lucas.
He watched him lick his paws dry having done it often. She wasn't sure if it would work for her. What did she know about being a leopard? Instead she just stood there dripping until...Lucas took off running. She hesitated for only a moment before running after him in a sprint. What had he run after? A human? No way. Probably some animal.
She ran after him as fast as she could trailing behind only a little. She put on an extra burst of speed and leaped into the air. She collided with a big fur ball which was Lucas and rolled across the grass in a dizzying fashion.

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas had almost caught the squirrel when the huge snow leopard collided with him, the doe not far behind. He recognized it now as the Headmaster and he smiled weakly. He barked to say 'Sorry...couldn't help it.' He'd have to learn to control that better. After Fionna collided with him he was knocked into one of the trees and he knew he might get a bruise in the morning. At least she was a bit smaller than him, so it wasn't like she'd hurt him. He whimpered his apologies and glared at the area where the squirrel had run off. Probably best that he didn't catch it, if he'd bitten it, he just might want to bite something else.
He pawed at the ground and buried his head into Fionna's neck again. She'd also fallen on the ground and had rolled around in the grass a bit. He still didn't doubt that this was a good idea, they'd managed to catch him pretty quickly after all, and the Headmaster was really close behind when Fionna had pounced. Does were really fast in general, and if Fionna hadn't caught him that moment, the Headmaster may have caught him the next. He lay down on the grass ((Like the leopard in your post style)) next to her and wagged his tail, it kept thumping hard against the soft ground like a hammer against cloth.

She stayed still for a moment to regain concentration and to lose the dizzy sensation before rolling onto her stomach. Lucas had hit a tree but seemed fine and was coming over to her. When he laid down next to her she purred and nuzzled into him.
She could hear the thumping of her tails and a smile creased her face in response. Fionna got comfortable on the grass and then put her head on Lucas' paw laying down. This had gone so much better than she had thought and she was sad to think how she would be unable to come with Lucas next full moon. Stupid shoppers.

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas loved the sound of Fionna's purring, and her soft fur laying down on his paws. He made a soft whimpering noise that dogs make when they're content, happy, or sleepy. In this case, he was all three. He wished they could do this again next month, but Lillian had warned them about Christmas shoppers being around. It was a bit cold this late at night, it must have been...at least 2 am or something. He cuddled close to her, nuzzling his nose against her fuzzy cheek. He couldn't wait to recall this moment with her one day.
It was a little awkward, the Headmaster as a doe by the water's edge, but she wasn't being like a chaperone or anything, just looking out for them. Wait...what was that? He thought he heard a branch snap nearby and his ears perked up, but he kept his eyes closed. Screw it...he'd catch that chipmunk or whatever the heck it was later...for now, he wanted to stay with Fionna forever...he found it truly amazing that she hadn't changed back yet. She must've really practiced, really concentrated. He'd need to find a way to pay her back somehow. Someday he would... He lifted his head and let out a yawn, his jaw opening wide, eyes closed, then he nuzzled back into her neck. Someday...

She felt like such a cat right now and she couldn't help but wonder what would happen if she had a pet cat and it came with her as an animagus. She smiled at that a bit. The whimpering noises from Lucas were not sad ones but happy ones and cuddling together. She could sense his ears p***k up and hers did as well at the sound of the stick breaking but Lucas relaxed and she did too. Fionna slowly felt herself blinking her eyes shut. She felt Lucas continue to nuzzle her but then it slowed and it stopped and the two of them were asleep.

 Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai
Lillian smiled at the wolf and snow leopard sleeping. She stood there as a doe, not wanting to startle either of them awake. Tonight had gone a lot better than expected with only one incident, which really didn't last long. Not to mention that Fionna had stopped it on her own, she was ready to do this on her own soon. Not next month, but perhaps the month after.
The sun started to rise in a few hours, Lillian yawned, closing her eyes at the bright light, and when she opened them, it wasn't to find a snow leopard and a wolf, but Lucas, back to normal, nuzzling into a snow leopard's neck. She grinned and changed back to the Headmaster. She'd let them sleep for a little bit longer, since no one was around. A couple hours later though, she heard voices of villagers passing not to far from here. She gently shook Lucas and Fionna awake, well, just kinda shaking Fionna's large paw, since she couldn't really do much about that. The good news was that even if she wasn't here next time, Lucas tended to stir in his sleep before the sun fully rose, he woke up before it was too late. This would work out nicely.
She led both of the sleepy teens back up to the castle, letting them know they really did a good job, she was proud Fionna had stayed in that form for so long, and that Lucas didn't once try to bite. If he had, it would've been a disaster.
...Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it...

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas woke up, blinking in the bright sun, to find himself in tattered, shabby clothes, laying on a snow leopard's neck. He grinned. Fionna. He scratched behind her ear as the Headmaster gently shook Fionna's paw to get her up. Lucas couldn't help smiling. He held Fionna's hand when she transformed back and they walked up to the castle.
He was astounded and grateful and joyous, just a mixture of everything. He really had convinced himself that she was going to leave him. Probably, anyways. His sister, his mother, his father, hated him. His friends? What friends, they died. It was just odd thinking this way sometimes, just realizing the amazing girl he'd become joined to the hip with. He wasn't sure what he'd ever do if he lost her. Cry, go back home, well he wouldn't be much of a Gryffindor. He'd do everything to get her back, but he couldn't cling onto something that was gone, either. He couldn't lose her, he'd never lose her. He squeezed her hand and smiled, thankful for all she'd done for him.

She managed to keep part of her mind focused on staying in her animagus form even while asleep which would surprise her. She hadn't practiced that. Her dreams were peaceful and of a snow leopard and werewolf running through the snow covered forest playing. She was smiling in her sleep and felt a slight shift during the sleep when Lucas changed back. Luckily, she wasn't on top of him or would have probably crushed him slightly in this form. It did not wake her though.
What woke her was the slight shaking and a touch behind her ear. Her ear twitched and she slowly rolled onto her stomach and opened her eyes. In front of her, she no longer saw a doe and werewolf. Instead, she saw the headmaster and Lucas. The leopard smiled at them and changed back into Fionna.
She shivered when she changed back at the cold morning. Hopefully, by next full moon she would have a better form. This one seemed to be lacking the thick coat of fur that was needed to keep warm. It didn't help that she froze easily anyway. She hadn't worn a very think caught before transforming and regretted it, but as Lucas took her hand she walked close to him trying to keep herself and him warm. She smiled at him and whispered, "The big bad wolf is actually quite cute." They walked back up to the castle with the Headmistress.

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя A few hours later, Lucas was huddled in the corner as a wolf. Freezing. The sun rose early in the winter though, so at least he wouldn't be stuck like this for too long. Yes, he had a fur coat, but he was so confused and disoriented that he kept trying to go outside. Because last time as a wolf, he'd been let out, he wanted to leave the shack more than ever before. The doors and windows were all blocked and boarded up, so he kept scratching at them, whining and whimpering.
He kept expecting Fionna to show up as a snow leopard, but deep down he knew she wouldn't. It made him dizzy, really. He turned around 3 times and then lay down on the floor, curled up in a ball, tail hitting the floor with a loud thump every couple seconds.

 sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя
The sun rose slowly, and Lucas slowly shrunk back into his human form. Back to a normal-looking 16 year old boy with grey hair. But the sun wasn't shining. Not really. It was snowing extremely heavy, and the sky was still grey-ish blue. The snow wasn't just specks and snow flakes, but it looked like someone was dumping snowballs on the earth. He could hear the roof creaking a bit and prayed it would hold up for just a few more hours. He wasn't allowed anywhere but here, and it was the only safe place anyways. If he walked outside, he'd be buried before he took more than 10 steps. Since the sun had risen so early in winter, he needed to wait a few hours for the Headmaster. He looked out the shack window to find that snow was almost as high as half the shack itself. The previous werewolf that had used this place was much older than he was, and the unbreakable charms and such put on the shack since he last used it must be wearing off. The roof was creaking louder, it sounded like an old, wooden rocking chair. He opened the door a little bit just to see if the Headmistress was coming for him early, his tattered, shabby clothes swaying in the violent, windy snow a bit. Big mistake. The second he opened the door, snow sank from the roof onto the ledge of the door and weighed down the edges of the roof. It began to sink...it was caving in! He had a split second look at the room, and an instant to yell, “OH, GOD!” Before the roof was coming down upon his head. Snow was soon piling up and he was getting crushed by the roof, and now the snow ontop of it. Getting crushed to death...not how he would've chosen to go. He woke up after about five minutes to see nothing but white. He was just buried in endless white. COLD white...he was drowning in it all...but he couldn't move, either. The roof was ontop of him and the hundreds of pounds that it and the snow ontop of it weighed were keeping him from doing a single thing. He was so numb...he knew the headmistress was coming for him in a few hours, around midday, he only hoped she wouldn't just find his corpse under this mess...he was so cold...feet of snow separating him from the top of the snow, where just more of it was landing...he couldn't speak, his voice was too dry...he couldn't scream...his lips were dark blue, snow and the roof were pressing on his back...he'd always hated winter...he passed out, shaking and shivering so violently that it looked like he was having a seizure. His skin was a pale-blue, the tips of his fingers already starting to turn black...
