Imhotep smiled. He was happy that they would be able to share a meal together. "Tell me my dear. What food would you like the meal to be? I'll have the student's whip it up right away." He asked then another thought came to mind. "Also what drinks would you like." He as always found of blood wine and real bloody Marys. He would let her pick, he wasn't a picky eater after 3,000 years. He was sure that the sides would also match the dish that she requested.

Considering her options, the woman didn't seem to mind making him wait a moment as she thought. "It has been quite some time since I've had a good steak." she spoke slowly, as if testing her words. It certainly had been a few years since such, but she wouldn't push him in that direction. At the mention of drinks, she flashed a toothy smile. "I think a nice glass of wine would be lovely." she was most partial to wine, but would drink pretty much anything containing alcohol without complaint. Wine, in her opinion, was the classiest of drinks, and was therefore her favourite closely followed by vodka and whiskey.

Imhotep needed one more piece of information before he requested for a student to come and make it. "How would you like your steak?" he asked her. He didn't want to make the steak in a way that she would hate it. He personally liked it rare, and as fresh and dripping with blood as possible.

---------------------

While normally she would have no trouble eating raw or nearly raw meat, she had spent far too much time in her other form and eating anything she caught immediately after catching. "Medium rare." it was far enough from raw that it wouldn't make her feel like an animal while also keeping most of its flavour. She assumed that any additions to the meal would be paired appropriately, and was hoping that, with the information she had already given, the food would begin to be prepared. The talk of food had made her hungry, though she hadn't actually planned to be eating again so soon. Ah well, no worrying about it now. There was to be steak and wine, and that was never something to complain about.

Imhotep nodded as he waved over a young vampire who was then given the orders. The man turned to his old friend and ushered her to a small library that he had in on of the rooms. "You have been here a while now and I'd like to show you something." He told her as he went to a certain book. It had the same title as a classical piece but once Imhotep pulled it down it was revealed to be a lever to a secret room.

---------------------

Waiting quietly as Imhotep ordered about the younger vampire, she took a moment to examine her nails; they were neat and rounded, though she made a note to paint them sometime soon. Looking back up as the man spoke, she didn't argue as she was ushered into a small library. It was a room that she had been in a couple times before, but she had never looked twice at the volume he moved towards. Her interest had been piqued, and she watched carefully as he pulled the book to reveal a secret room. "Well isn't that interesting." she mused, turning an expectant gaze on the vampire lord. The room intrigued her, and she was hoping to find out what was so important about that room that it had to be hidden away.

Imhotep smiled. He knew that she would not be curious as to then intent of the passage way. "If you walk down to the end of the hall it leads to some stairs." He started to explain what the purpose of the passage that he was showing her. "Go down the stairs and continue your walking. Sooner or later you be at the entrance of a cave. The cave opening is in the dark forest." He explained. It was an escape route.

---------------------

Taking a closer look at the passageway, her eyes squinted ever so slightly as she peered into the dark. Her night vision was excellent, jackals were nocturnal after all, but the tunnel stretched too far into the distance for her to see its end. Still, she trusted what Imhotep said, and turned her attention back to him. "An escape route?" she was simply ensuring that that was indeed the tunnel's purpose, though its presence reminded her that they were surrounded by enemies. Well, that was certainly convenient. It was rather wise to have one of these hidden away, just in case. Making a note to explore the dark forest sometime in the near future, she cast the tunnel one more glance.

Imhotep pushed the route closed. There was no reason to go down it while dinner would wait for them. He was just buying time for the meals to be cooked. "Yes. Reed made it himself and few people know about it. the only one who still teaches here is the divination teacher who was the first teacher to come with Reed and found the school." The man told her. He knew the secrets of Reed's because he had been at the school for a while.

---------------------

With the door closed, her attention remained firmly on the other teacher. It was interesting to hear that there was still a teacher at the school from the time of Reed himself, and she made another note to self to find out more about this teacher. The escape route was quite interesting, she wondered why Reed would need an escape route, but there was research to be done at a later time. Imhotep had been at the school for quite some time, this she knew, so she didn't question how he knew about the tunnel; she also didn't need to ask why he would bother showing her. It was a good thing for her to know, what with her political position, and it was a good way to waste time until the food was done. "A secret tunnel in a dungeon. How cliché." Not that she was complaining, of course.

Imhotep smiled. He couldn't disagree with a comment like that. "Yes of course it is." He answered back and added a chuckle in to the comment. "So is one behind a bookshelf." He pointed out another part of it. "It may be cliche, but it'll work for a good escape. I've used it a couple of times to get away. None of the students know about it." He made sure that the route wouldn't be found by someone he didn't want to know about it.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 08, 2012 9:08 pm

---------------------

An amused look stayed firmly in place, and she gave a nod to agree about his point on the bookshelf. This was true, but still it was nice. Maybe it was cliche to the point that no one would think to look behind the shelf? Considering his statement about how few people knew about it, she was guessing that no one had really thought to investigate the small library, or this particular shelf. "A convenient cliché, then." she allowed, pleased to hear that it was effective at doing what it was meant to do. Assuming it was for the best that the students didn't know about the route, she didn't question his motives there. The younglings were expendable and it would certainly be easier for them to convince outsiders that they were manipulated than it would be for either of the ancients to get away with it.

Imhotep nodded. He knew better than to keep things from his enemies or his allies. "Come. I'm sure they have our meal done soon. We may as well sit down and talk more." He commented to her and ushered her to a private dinning room. It was just a table with an alcohol cabinet with a few other storage areas. The next door in the room was probably the kitchen. "So what do you think of this place so far?"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 08, 2012 9:55 pm

---------------------

Allowing herself to be ushered about once more, she stepped into the private dining room without pause. Taking in the room carefully, she moved around the table to investigate the liquor cabinet. Seemingly pleased with the contents, she turned back to circle the table and further examine the room before answering his question. "It's quite classy for a dungeon." she sounded amused again, as a dungeon such as this was not exactly where one would expect to find a library and a dining room with a stocked liquor cabinet; this was not to mention the bedrooms she had been in, both of which had been quite nice, though perhaps this was because on was the master's and one was her own. Ah well, not to worry about now.

Imhotep chuckled at the woman's comment about the dungeon. "Well my dear, I only get the best and what I want." the man told her. He was honest in his words. He would jerk people around if he needed. Two students came in with plates set with steaks, mashed potatoes and corn. They also set with the dishes drinks. It was clear that Imhotep's was a blood wine.
