 dlani caught the glance and nodded somberly before rolling her eyes up to look in lucy's direction "mkay, hold on..." she said, sounding almost sort of doubtful, since she wasn't sure how fast would be too fast, or would be fun or what...
sighing and shrugging it off, she started jogging at a decent pace, the wind blowing her and lucy's hair back in a steady stream. she closed her eyes and lifted her chin to feel the cool movement against her skin. feeling a desire to just MOVE, she grabbed lucy's legs from where they were around her waist, and just RAN...at at least about ten miles per hour, fast enough for the wind to bite slightly at dlani's exposed skin. it felt good, to actually have enough room to RUN and move tight muscles, without people really looking at her weird...or so she thought. dlani didn't know that even among non-humans, her speed would be sort of irregular. kicking it up a bit more, she leaned down for streamline, going off of what felt right...the umbrella shot off from where she had hooked it over her arm and her speed snapped it open, breaking the restraints as it slowly drifted down to rest by maka, a breeze suddenly coming up to push it gently that way

 Maka Evans'Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when September ends' The girl had become a shadow. She watched as the girl and the hybrid dash off and smiled a bit. The umbrella became a momentum of where Dlani once stood. Maka giggled a bit. If she was a shadow, she should at least have fun with it. She took off, flying to catch up in speed and velocity. Dlani was going mighty fast for her size, but hell, speed was no problem to the phantom.
She did a barrel roll and wondered what other things she could do. Last week she had discovered she could phase and turn invisible. A useful tool, if she had a right to say so. Maybe she could make other people invisible or tangeable like she could do to herself. The girl concentrated on being able to walk through walls and her form shifted a bit so that her form was a light shade of blue and her body more translucent before grabbing onto someone's shoulder. He form began to spread onto them, and she smiled a bit. "It works." She said quietly. Her new friends were still moving, which was good. When she realized what phasing was, she nearly sank through the crust. The area was beginning to get treelined and she smiled. "Nothing to fear except fear itself." She said with a smile. "And spiders."'like my father's come to pass

(okay, im confused....did she end up grabbing DLANI's shoulder, or just some poor bystander?) EDITED (okay, thanks...sorry, was judt double checking sweatdrop wanted to make sure...) dlani felt something slide cooly over her shoulder, and looked out of the corner of her eyes to see...nothing. with a slight thoughtful frown, her eyes momentarily gained icy blue streaks barely seen like phantoms through her deep green eyes in a flash. during that quick time she saw the spirit on her arm. eyes wide, dlani couldn't stop the quick shiver as the cold expanded from just her shoulder to stick to her back sort-of like suction. she looked up at lucy, her feet finding the sure spots surprisingly easily "where are we? i don't recognize this part..." she said, sounding a touch concerned as she looked over her shoulder "question to you as well..."(i thought they weren't supposed to be able to escape, unless it's like within the limits of the camp?)

The speed had surprised her, but she couldn't help but giggle in gaps that she could. The amount of speed they were going, she could barely breathe unless she hid her face behind Dlani's head. Though, normally she wouldn't like a feeling as not being able to breathe, the fact that they were going so fast countered all of that. Holding on tighter so that she wouldn't fall off, she hadn't noticed the chill. She figured it was only the wind causing her to feel so cold. But as she looked and noticed a difference in herself, she looked over to see nothing. Frowning, something in her gut told her that there was nothing to worry about. It must be Maka. Smiling, she giggled once more. It was so much fun, she couldn't help but say, "More!"

wake me up when September ends' Maka listened to what Dlani was saying; frankly she didn't know herself. She was so caught up in the power she had experienced and when she had come to terms, she took a quick hand from the shoulder, not realizing that she could've just put them at more risk than ever, running into trees a risk. "We'd better turn around, you guys." She told them, her expression turning blank. She would get in trouble with Master Cyrus after not too many feet. She bit her lip, knowing that if they resisted, she'd have to turn into a guard dog again. With the temprament of the hybrid, she may not but with her speed and mix, you'd never know what to expect.
She would grab them and try to lift them up as she would make them go in a U turn, and then they would be home free. What was mainly haunting was simply that Dlani's species was unknown. She looked full of suprises, but hopefully she was on her good size. No; it didn't matter. Maka wasn't scared, especially after dying once.'like my father's come to pass

dlani was leaning forward almost parallel to the ground in reaction to put on more speed, hardly feeling lucy's weight on her back, when she sensed maka's near fear and heard her warning. the sudden change as she reacted swung her around so fast she dislocated her hip, and almost sent lucy tumbling off her shoulder like off a super-speed wheel go round. one hand yanking lucy back and the other holding her hip, dlani fell with an almost completely silent grunt of pain as lucy barreled into her.
with a small groan she twisted to be on her side, and took a deep breath. grimacing since she knew how this worked, she flicked her hand down her leg as if brushing away a fly. but her hip popped back into place with a loud SNAP with the energy she ran down it like someone yanking it with her telekinesis. getting up awkwardly, she then calculated angles and fell on it again, putting it back into the proper position. her focus had narrowed as she did this, so she didn't see the others' reactions "why must we turn around? ow" she said, her voice whispery from the pain she otherwise basically didn't show. face pale and with a little bit of sweat, dlani started to look tired and worn, especially around her eyes, which just looked old at this moment, as if something huge and powerful stared out from them. then she just looked like any hurt tired teenager. she looked at a red spot that soon faded, and frowned "dammit, i can never watch it from the beginning..." she muttered, mostly to herself. she limped over to lucy "you okay?"

Holding back the shakes from the entire moment that had just happened, Lucy watched as Dlani fixed her dislocated hip. The loud snap of it getting put back in the right spot had brought shivers down her spine. Holding her hands to her chest, she watched as the eyes of someone who wasn't the Dlani she knew looked back at them. It only lasted for a moment, before Dlani's eyes came back. But it still made her wonder. Hearing Dlani's voice knocked her out of her thoughts and she smiled, while her own eyes showed worry. "Oh, yes. I'm just fine! Thanks to you! Are.. Are you okay?" She didn't like feeling worried, but right now it was the best thing to be. Especially at the fact that she was the one who caused it. She wanted the piggy back ride.

wake me up when September ends' Maka was a bit shocked when Dlani fell. There was only one word of choice she murmured under her breath. She was dead, Maka was. She had died last year and unless she went to Hell, she couldn't die, in any sense. But these two girls were very much able to die, and it hadn't occured to her when she said to turn, especially at such a high speed. "Are you guys okay? I'm so sorry..." She murmured, floating around them and looking for anything besides what Dlani twisted and was fixing.
Another thing that surprised her was Dlani's eyes, which had switched into a very much different person, and older one it seemed, but not frail. She blinked a bit. When she had became a phantom, she had seen the beyond for a slight second, and her parents going up, her brother as well. Something about those eyes brought the memory back; some say that an old soul usually dies young; or is bound for something great. Maybe both. But maybe that was why Dlani was so.. Different was the word, for the moment they discovered their abnormalities, weird was no longer a word.'like my father's come to pass

Dlani just gave them a small pained smile, looking sad as she turned to Lucy "stop it...i wanted to give my friend a piggy back ride...if i was smarter i would have thought to slow down before turning...but i was being dumb and didn't" she said, sweating a little from the pain and embarrassment as she rubbed the back of her neck. shrugging, she looked at them with a more natural smile, her hands up in a "what can you do?" gesture "im more than fine, don't worry...i have had worse" her eyes looking old again, she closed them with a giggle "sorry i yanked your ankle so hard lucy..." she said, looking upset she might have hurt practically her only friend from her stronger-than-normal grip
