Sadly, Seth might well be right; had his opponant been tougher things would probably not have been too pretty. He couldn't blame Skiron, it was he who had picked their opening tactics, and they had been a spectatular failure. Would entering battle straight away have been better, or perhaps setting Skiron on the trainer to begin with? He needed more options. He needed more pokemon, but he'd just handed that pikachu over and had no intention of asking for it back. Besides, it probably wouldn't listen to him even if he did...

One mistake they'd all made? He had no real idea of how the others had performed; Seth's snipping at them gave him a vague idea but not enough to guess what flaw they might all have in common. Still, no doubt his towering superior would gloat about it once he'd finished looking at them all like something unpleasant he'd just found on the bottom of his boot.

Aila acknowledged the criticism with a curt nod. Sleep Powder was a brilliant tactic... as long as it was applicable. And while the strategy had yet to fail her - save for during her encounter with Seth at the bank - it wouldn't would for much longer. Fleur was due to evolve some time in the nearer future, and a Venusaur was nowhere near as inconspicuous as an Ivysaur. A thoughtful hand rose instinctively to her chin as she began to consider other methods, but Seth's announcement of a mutual mistake drew her back to attention. Something each of them had done wrong? Aila had no way of knowing the methods her comrades had employed, and it was a stretch to hazard a guess based only on knowledge of her own performance, and so she listened with brow furrowed slightly in thought.

She blinked once when she was addressed, reaching a hand up to push her hair behind her ear, running her fingers over the singed tips of her hair before lowering her hand back to her side.
He did notice everything, and drawing attention to it, even though she already knew she had gotten into a lot more then she anticipated when the biker started fighting back.
In hind sight it was.... fairly obvious what kind of opponent he was going to be, she was going to have to be more careful...
She did not like the feeling of failure, or being called stupid.

It took her a moment to consider his last statement, but doing a quick consideration of the day, and things he has said to them, she had an idea of what it might be. The Grunt remained silent though, continuing to listen closely.

Seth's scowl remained as he looked over the silent group. Some of them seemed to be taking his criticism worse than others. Hopefully they would learn from their mistakes and not make them again. The team didn't need a bunch of agents who didn't know how to handle themselves properly.

"All of you rely far too heavily on your Pokemon. Almost all of you made them do your dirty work while you hid in the bushes."

His stern gaze passed between each of them again, as if daring them to deny it.

"Pokemon are meant to be tools, and tools only. A tool can't do its job by itself! If you rely only on your Pokemon, you'll never be able to handle yourself when they're not there!"

Humm. Well, that was fair enough. "Hand to hand combat is not my specialty, as you can probably guess by looking at me," Frost said quietly, regarding the far taller man steadily. "I am equipped to... deal with targets personally, but as it stands that would amount to lethal force. If that is something that is acceptable, however, or if sedative dart guns are available I would be more than pleased to rely on my aim as much as my pokemon. Sir."

The 'sir' came out a little late, perhaps, but there was no insincerity in it... There wasn't much of anything in it really; like the rest of Frost's words the respectful term of address came out bland and emotionless.

Internally, the Rocket found himself wondering how all of the others would be taking this. Alia, the girl who liked poison types, was the only one whose name he knew... Did he have any personal investment in her happiness? They had shared one short conversation, that was all, but it was more than he shared with anyone else on the island. He didn't need anyone of course, the last couple of years when he had had somebody around had merely softened him. It was good that he'd left that behind in Jhoto. He would become stronger again without concerning himself with the feelings of others, or with his own, for that matter.

(( OOC: Since this seems to be winding down, send me the name and gender for the Pokemon you're keeping. ))

Aila considered Seth's words quietly. Sleep Powder was a lot like chloroform with better range. She'd never actually used chloroform before - it seemed a roundabout method since she had always had a Bulbasaur at her side - but toyed with the idea of using Fleur's drowsing spores to create a form of sleep bomb, as it were: something that she could use when the Ivysaur was no longer a convenient size. It was an interesting idea...

Frost's question drew her attention, and she listened for the answer. Incapacitation of the target was a quick and efficient way to lift something from their person, under the right conditions, and she wondered to what degree Rocket sanctioned the physical harm of civilians.
