"Not if you aren't involved with me!" Mala replied, running faster as she began to attempt a spell of haulting(stopping) on the possessed party, so that taking them away from the situation would be much easier.

Rincewind stopped in his tracks as he saw a woman rushing to--he hoped--save him.

Ceri noticed what Mala was doing, "It's kinda late for that, Mala!" She grabbed her friend's hand and started to perform the spell with her.

Mala grinned at Ceri, happy to know that her friend would stay by her side even in the most foolish of moments. As they closed in, Mala reached over to swoop the male up before she would bolt back in the opposite direction. She was slowed somewhat, but not enough to keep her from keeping a good pace for escape. Before long she stopped and hid in an alley-way, thankfully a blind spot for the mob that chased after them.

Ceri turned around and started to run backwards. She cast a repealing spell, causing an invisible wall to come up the opening of the ally way, just in case someone found them. She then went over to the little boy. "Rincewind...Rincewind, are you okay?" she asked, petting his hair tenderly.

Ceri smiled. "You're welcome...I'm just glad we got to you in time....I would hate to of spoken at your burial..." She ruffled his hair a bit. "This is my friend Mala, from the school."

"Nice to meet you too, and you can thank us later. For now, though, we should get the hell out of here before they find us." Mala said, frowning slightly. "Well, at least I now have more incentive to leave town and start my journey..." she mumbled to herself, soon realising something. "Oh BLOODY HELL! I need to find Van and Riley!"

"Very well. I'll get Van and Riley. Ugh...they're sooo going to be pissed at me I'll bet!" Mala said, the last bit a grumble to herself. Afterwards, she put to use the acrobatics training that Van had given her to flip and jump and climb her way to the rooftops. Thankfully, most of these mages were ground-bound.
