Himeko tilted her head. A permakit, she had heard of them before. Though him being older was true, he was only older by a little. Himeko tilted her head, looking over at Hollow. This was not good, now that Hollow knew the kit was not really a kit, well, she would not hold her tongue much longer. Much as most would not believe, Hollow actually was biting back some words.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... make you seem like a kid." She said to the permakit, smiling sweetly. "Lets try introductions again. I am Himeko, and this is Hollow." She glanced over at Hollow, spotting her sister chewing the inside of her cheek, a sign she was trying to cut back from more profanities she knew and wished to speak.
"Permakit? Sucks to be you, buddy." She hissed. Normally she'd actually be sympathetic and apologize as well, but Raz had not gotten on her good side in the least. Maybe later she'd be nice, but right now the female merely glared at him and rested her head protectively on Himeko's side.

"Sucks more to be you," Raz hissed back, not in the mood to banter. His focus was more on the male. "Where the heck is this tunnel," he asked, body keyed up. It looked like he'd take off at any second, just as soon as he had a direction.

Horus sighed and raised a paw to rub the bridge between his forehead and his snout. He wasn’t one for much for fighting and the atmosphere here was far from ideal. He frowned as he debated on whether telling raz where the tunnel was and wished he had a scout so he could relay them the message another fox was on his way there. He supposed Persephone and Hitoru could handle stuff and jaz would hopefully recognize the male permakit.
“The place you see is that way between Saqqara and Memphis and a bit a ways from the Nile.” Horus replied lifting up a paw in the general direction as well. Hoping the kit would understand. Horus had a feeling he would.

Chuckling Rynn nodded to Atum. Alrighty. It's nice to know I have a rescuer if things go wrong. Turning her attention back to Hitoru Rynn felt like she had to ask. Hey how far away are these canals? And how do we fix 'em?

Raz's muzzle wrinkled a little in distaste. He never liked going through that boneyard, there always seemed to be something or another going on in there that he'd rather avoid. Sure it was a huge amount of land, but there were still plenty of bones.
He also didn't like that the description was so vague, but at least he had a direction to work with. He would calm down a lot more after he saw Jaci and knew she was fine.
"Thanks," Raz said shortly, and fly in the direction he had been pointed in. Well, maybe it didn't literally fly. But you could swear his feet barely touched the ground the entire run, if you could even see them at all through the dirt he was kicking up.

Fyra had zoned out a little bit and missed Horus leaving. She looked around to the others as they moved to start working. Not wanting to be left behind she followed at a trot. She couldn't believe that she did that, How was she to take care of the little ones if she keeps that up?

Himeko looked uncertain as she glanced over at Hollow. Hollow looked eager to go, to continue traveling, but Himeko... she liked the warmth here. She glanced over at Horus, flicking her tail lightly and tilting her head. She knew there was a tribe nearby, she did research, kept listening to bits and pieces of a tribe in the desert. Maybe... maybe she should ask?
"You said something about Kemet, right? Are they...accepting members?"
Hollow blinked as Himeko spoke, glancing over at her. She wanted to stay, in this hot dump? What about her? Hollow wanted to live somewhere cold or breezy, not here! Then again, Himeko didn't need her. If she joined, Hollow didn't need to.
But she'd be alone.
Hollow didn't want to be alone. She was scared of being alone. She always had Himeko, and as long as she had Himeko she felt like she had a purpose. She protected Himeko. She was the barrier between the bad and Himeko. If she was alone, then who would she protect? Who would need her?

Horus turned his attention back from watching the male perma kit run off to go find Jaci. Personally Horus believed he should have left matters alone. Jaci may be rather small but she still packed quite a punch. He smiled at the new comers glad that the air around them seemed to have quieted down a bit. “Ah yes I did. It’s my tribe so I would say they are accepting new members, I always like new members. Himeko and Hollow…? Its nice to meet you I’m Horus the insibya of Kemet” he introduced himself.

Hitoru stopped a few feet away from the waters muddy edge. Looking out over the water he could see the scaled crocks laying lazily in the mud. He then shuttered when one of them caught his eye. He was quick and could easily distract them but there was always that chance that he would be caught. He looked back at Rynn.
"Were not that far from them... the only problem... well... we have to get past them." He motioned to the crocodiles hidden in the water.
He smiled down at her then stopped once Hitoru did. He watched as the female Phim landed then looked up to where they pointed out the tunnels. Going through the Crocks wouldn't be a problem for the Phoms but the others. He glanced at Hitoru, Rynn, and Jaci. He was worried about.
"Well... perhaps Persephone and I can distract the Crocks wile you and the others make it to the tunnels?"

Jaci snorted. "I may be tiny, but I've got enough annoying in me to fill up a Daeva!" And with that the little perma dove into the waters. A second later there was an annoyed sound from giant predators. One of the crocs appeared to have sprouted a damp, bright blue blindfold. Being tiny was actually an advantage for this point, she easily fit on the thing's head.
The beasts were certainly distracted, though Jaci wouldn't have said no to a Phim doing a couple dives to drive some of the other beasts away. Wasn't like she could scare all of 'em off on her own, geez.
Jaci was also very glad Raz wasn't hear. She'd never hear the end of it.

Rynn gasped as Jaci dived into the that water. She turned to Atum. GET HER! You can carry her over the crocs and come back and take each of us across one at a time over the crocs. The other 'Phim can help. Rynn paced back and forth not daring to get to close to the crocs nearby but wanting to get Jaci to safety.

"I… she’ll be fine. Jaci knows what she’s doing and she swims better than a fish. As long as she doesn’t let go we should be fine. Besides she’ll take it as an utter insult if you think she’s not capable of doing so which is partially why she dove in the river in the first place. Hitoru get the others across the faster we get them to the tunnel the quicker we can stop Jaci from being stupid." Persephone stated backing up from the group. Seconds later she extended her wingspan to its full length and took off. If there was one thing Persephone could do it was flying. She took pride in her flying and had trained to become the fastest and most agile as she could be. As one of the crocs lunged for Jaci she dove into the water quickly biting its tail causing it to thrash back at her. Being an expert diver and actually a phim who could swim helped Persephone use the momentum of her dive to shoot out of the water again narrowly avoiding the crocs jaws as it leaped out of the water after her.

"Um... wait..." he looked over at the kit. "I don't think that would be..." Of course he was cut off by the kit taking off. "Wait!" Hitoru looked on in utter horror as the kit dove into the water. Was she crazy?! She could easily get eaten! She may be able to take care of herself but taking on all those crocks on her own was idiotic and dangerous. He then slowly looked over at Persephone still with a shocked look on his face.
".... is she always like this?"
Atum didn't really know what to say. He had to admit... the kit had guts. Jumping into a river full of crocks? Not something he would have done right away. He was only snapped out of his complete surprise when Rynn yelled at him.
"Oh! Of course... Sorry I was... I just cant believe she did that." He looked up at the yellow and black fox who still seemed just as surprised as he was. "Hitoru... Persephone is right. Lead the way across... I'll help out Persephone and Jaci keep the crocks away from you and Runn wile you cross."

Fyra watched from a distance as the perma jumped into the water before any of the others. She just couldn't believe they would allow that with no thought. She raced to the waters edge and stared as Jaci maneuvered around some of the crocs.
The vixen wanted to help the others, but maybe she was better off staying close to Jaci, just in case something happened. She shook her head, like she knew what she would do. "Why couldn't you be a kit that I had to stop and scold."

Time Skip
Every seems to be settling into Kemet, whether peacefully or not. Horus is trying his best as elder to be and learning of the different duties he know can expect, whether looking for new neighbors running out in the middle of the night because of emergencies or even the good old approving of his tribe's mates. The irrigation tunnels where eventually fixed with out a hitch and the nile had a good flood like Atum had promised. Some time has finally passed and new arrivals to the tribe have come and helped fill in some of the ranks and love seems to be blooming all over the place. Horus is happy that everyone seems to be busy with something even his carers who are taking care of the tribe's first batch of kits. Something tells Atum they are going to be very spoiled ^_^.Akori wiggled down from his hiding spot watching his prey behind him. It wasn’t like he was going to do anything to evil or prankish, no that was more his older brother’s job. He often tended to like watching people because when they didn’t know they where being watched they often revealed things that let you know more about them. Of course this wasn’t an observing mission no this was his weekly check up to see if they had changed in taste. A thing Akori often tried to do to make sure the narbles hadn’t affected any one. Of course some people thought it was rather creepy but it was all for their health.
Kaname sighed and looked around wondering where in the world his children had gotten to. He had finally caught up with all the shaman training and was now a qualified Kemet priest. Often in the mornings he would help Horus with praying to the modeities since he was also a phim and then check in with Persephone for the day before dropping his children off with their mother or Fyra. Of course Akori had wiggled away and was currently missing not that he was worried. Eventually the kit would turn up silently watching you from your back or even licking you to see how you tasted. Personally he wondered where that particular trait came from.
