Ra turned the music up a bit more whilst Scarlett was in the shower. He missed not being able to listen to it without the confining headphones. Even if they were wireless it was never the same. Shaking his head he stared at the partition at least there was that. Maybe his faliure to return the night before had gone unnoticed.
Singing along to the music he grabbed a box of tea and went out to the kitchen, grabbing the magazine from the floor once more as he went. Once in the kitchen he filled the kettle. Waiting for it to boil he flicked through the magazine, he had no idea what was an appropriate gift for valentines day.

'It's not your business' she hissed under her breath, rubbing the scalp treatment into her hair. 'So he wasn't home when you went to sleep last night and he wasn't there when you left this morning. It doesn't mean that he stayed out the entire night'
Her thoughts had been on that situation all day. With every fault she made or step she missed; each time she lost the beat or got distracted; she couldn't help but wonder where her roommate was last night. Rinsing her hair out, she pinned it up in a loose bun. Shaving her legs, she lost her focus and gave herself a nice razor knick on the inside of ankle. Blood started running down her leg quickly. <********!" She screamed, wrapping a towel around herself. Leaning out of the shower in a towel, Scarlett rifled through the medicine cabinet in search of a bandage.

Ra looked up from the thoroughly riviting 'how to impress your man with a heart shaped chocolate cake' article as he heard the scream. He smirked to himself. Scarlett never swore. "Are you all right?" He asked moving towards the kitchen door. He hoped she hadn't done anything too serious. He didn't fancy having to go and help. That would be too embarrasing.

"Yeah, I'm f----ine," Scarlett said, clawing at the shelf.
A few centimeters from her fingertips was the first aid kit. Stepping onto the area rug, she felt guilty about dripping water all over the floor. Slipping her hand under the case, Scarlett was homefree-- until her grip slipped on the counter. Slamming onto the floor, Scarlett cursed again, as the first aid kit landed on her head. She was a sight for sore eyes, laying on the bathroom floor in her towel with one foot still in the shower.
"Aye Dios Mio!" she scowled, rubbing her face. She knew she'd have a bruise. "Everything's... fine..."

Ra raised an eyebrow as there was another thud. What was she doing in there? "O.k. If you're sure." He said as he turned relieved back to the magazine and its sickening articles.

Scarlett laid on the floor for a minute, relieved that Ra was staying put. Opening the case, she patched up her ankle in an extremely shoddy manner. She felt light headed. Scarlett hated the sight of blood. Cleaning up her mess and dressing, Scarlett limped back to her side of the room with her hair still in a towel.
Hanging one towel up, Scarlett curled up by the space heater; using the other to dry her hair a bit. Scanning the floor of her room, she figured drowing her misery in her new cooking magazine was in order. The only problem was that it was no where to be found on the floor of her room. Stretching out on her hands and knees, Scarlett peered under the divider.
"Hey Ra, my cooking magazine didn't happen to wind up on your side of the divider?" she said, sitting cross-legged on the floor. "i just bought it yesterday. I couldn't have lost it already."

The kettle boiled and Ra poured the water into a pot. Doing the room mately thing he grabbed two cups from the draining board and hooked the handles over his finger. "Cooking magazine?" He asked closing it and holding it under his arm as he picked up the pot. "Yeah, I picked it up." He said walking into the room. "Hope you don't mind. I was bored and it looked semi interesting. Tea?" He asked brandishing the pot and two mugs.

"Finding ways to 'win over your man's heart'?" Scarlett laughed, waving him into the room.
Looking at her ankle, the blood had already seeped through the dressing. Clearing her notebooks and school supplies, Scarlett made space for tea and her roommate. Between exhaustion from dance practice and her new battle wound, Scarlett limped slightly as she carried her books to her desk. Setting a cushion on the floor for Rashne, she made her way for the bathroom once more.
"Sure. Have a seat. I'll be back in a minute."

Ra laughed at her teasing over the magazine. "No I was just wondering what goes through girls heads when it comes to Valentines day. I'm begining to wish I hadn't bothered looking. You're all insane." He joked watching her limp across the room.
"You haven't padded that out enough." He said as she dissapeared to the bathroom. "Grab me some padded gauze and some tape, I'll do it tighter for you." He said with a yawn and began pouring the tea whilst he waited for her to return.

"I have an annual subscription to that magazine, thank you very much," Scarlett said laughing from the other room.
Returning with the first-aid kit, Scarlett handed it to Ra. The comforting scent of tea, helped to ease her foul temper. Sitting on the edge of the bed, Scarlett angled her leg to make it easiest for Ra to properly dress the cut.
"I basically threw it on there because I hate the sight of blood," Scarlett said looking out the window, waiting. "I've hand dance injuries before, but when it comes to shaving cuts... I am the biggest chicken. "

"I'm used to blood, injuries and all that." He said holding her foot up and unwinding the badly wound bandage. "I'm always getting sporting injuries." He shrugged telling half the truth as he opened an antiseptic wipe and cleaned the small wound. "Plus I need the training if I'm going to be a doctor." He said smiling as he placed a bit of padded gauze over the wound and bound it tightly. "You have to keep preassure on it to stop the bleeding. Don't remove the dressing till tomorrow either as it might start it again...even if it shows through a bit."
With that he closed the first aid kit and sat cross legged on the cushion. "So whose heart are you planning to bake your way to?" He grinned pointing to the magazine.

Scarlett bit her lip and clamped her eyes shut when Ra put the antiseptic on her leg. Her eyes opened again at mention that Ra wanted to be a doctor. She was impressed at how fast and efficiently her roommate dressed the wound.
"Wow Ra. As my mom would say, you have 'grandma's hands'," Scarlett smiled. "That's a good thing. The best doctors and nurses are so gentle that they finish before patients' realize it."
Running her fingers through her damp curls, Scarlett quirked a mischievous brow at the magazine and then Ra. It was obvious he read more of the magazine than she had.
"It arrived yesterday," Scarlett said pointing to her desktop of school work. "I haven't had time to read it. Trying to be a better students and all. What about you? Trying to steal a girl's heart with baked goodies?"

"I'll take that as a compliment." He grinned regarding the 'grandma's hands' comment. He wasn't sure he wanted the hands of an old woman. "Heh." He snorted taking a cup of tea. "I think it's a bit girly to be baking heart shaped cakes." He said blushing a little. "As I said I just wanted to see how serious this whole valentines day thing is. My friends in the U.k weren't really into it." He said trying to shrug off his embarrassment. "It's a big deal though right. I mean...if you, well, you know...you have to get the person something." He said the blush returning as he attempted not to voice what he wanted to say.
It was at times like this he wished he had guy as a roommate, someone who could laugh at him and tell him not to be such a wuss.

"I don't know much about it either," Scarlett shrugged, with a cold tone. "According to most of the magazines I've seen, it's a big deal. Having never received one personally, I can't tell you."
The thought of Valentine's Day burned; a holiday for love and lovers, confessions and confections. All it ever was for her was a second April Fool's Day. Just another day where the pranks hurt more than usual. She knew where Ra was going with the line of questioning. It was obvious that he wanted to do something for Chii, and this was his round about way of asking for help.
"It's a big deal for girls who care about silly, material things, Ra," Scarlett said flatly. "It's your choice if you want to celebrate it. Just make sure the girl's worth the time and effort."

"Sorry I asked." He said slightly angered by her cold tone and what she seemed to imply, not only about his judgement but about Chii as well. Chii wasn't into silly and material things, yet he knew she would want him to do something. He wanted to inquire as to why, if it was so stupid and material she was buying magazines on the subject. But he kept quiet.
Taking another sip of tea he decided to change the subject before a snide comment found it's way out of his mouth. "You managed to find a place to dance then?" He said nodding towards her bag.
