Ieyasu was ready to launch into talking as soon as the door opened. However, as he saw Alyosha standing there, something gave him cause to pause for a moment. Not the same as the others... Bah, what did it matter to him though? Not like he had room to say much. The pause was only for the briefest of moments before Ieyasu picked up again.
"Hey, sorry to bother you and all. I was just looking for somebody around here - I wanted to know if the centre had any extra stores of food? I'm looking for some rice."

Alyosha nodded. "In the kichen, walk rigth through it and at the back there's a store. there's plenty of dried foods and, amongst that, several sacks of rice. I haven't really had the time to sort it since I came back from the mainland but you should be able to find it."
He smiled. "How are your jars? any sign of them glowing yet?"

Fae watched and adored her Aerandir's innocence. It seemed the curious thing had a world of her own; just her, and the ball. Just then, an old, familiar voice caught in her ears and sent her eyes flitting all over the Centre. Finally landing on Nyxa, she grinned and waved in greeting. "Hey, long time no see," she nodded, then glanced to Pueblo whom Nyxa pointed out. "Yeah, I know! Isn't she?" Another proud grin bashfully errupted in her cheeks. "How're you and your family doing? Pueblo merged just a couple weeks ago, I believe." She thoughtfully ran her tongue over her chapped and chewed lips.
Pueblo was still nudging the ball all over the room with her beak and head before she heard another human's voice. Stopping her pleasure, her neck craned up to see who it was. Flickering her ears, she cocked her head at the unfamiliar person. "Hoo?" She gently cried. Then, something stepped forward in the corner of her sharp eyes and turned her head to stare at the new gryphon. Blinking, her ears shyly fell and lowered her head. Who was that? And why did he make such a funny sound?
Fae heard voices somewhere else in the house, guessing Alyosha was one of them. Perhaps she could ask him her questions soon.

"Ah, right, got it. Thanks."
At Alyosha's question, he grinned suddenly. "Fine, I think. They glow? Eh.. I don't think so - they weren't when I left the house."
Slipping his bag down off of his shoulder, he loosened the clip and the drawstring before pulling out the stoppered glass jar. Holding it up, he examined it closely.
"Nope... just looks like an ordinary bit of fluff still."

Nyxa grinned at Fae, "We're all doing well. I notice the center has been busy lately, so I thought I'd come down and see what all the fuss was about." She shrugged sheepishly, "We haven't been very social lately, Luc seems to be in a tizzy more often than not."
A disgruntled chirp squelched out from Luc, though his eyes remained steadfast on Pueblo. Neckfeathers remained fluffed out, though his wings spread slightly and he paraded about in front of the other gryphon. His lengthly midnight tail lashed about, the lights hitting the fur of his body glinting off in shades of green. Moving closer to Pueblo, Luc stretched his neck out and playfully nipped at her wing.
Nyxa watched, shaking her head slightly at Luc's antics. "He's such an oddball."

Alyosha nodded. "When they're ready to "hatch" they glow, sort of a blue glue and tend to.. well explode the jar... so be careful..."
Alyosha looked down the corridor into the centre, hearing several people in the main room. "Have you met any of the other owners yet? Or is this your first foray out?"

"Heh, ok. I'll remember that." Ieyasu gazed at Alyosha briefly, wondering to himself. After a short pause, he followed the other man's gaze down the corridor. He could hear voices coming from the main room too. Ok, so now there were people around...
"..I met two a couple of days ago. Foenix and Fae. They were very friendly, but I couldn't stay long."

He was young, this one, thought Alyosha, pretending to look past Ieyasu. He pondered for a moment, then put a hand on Ieyasu's shoulder, leaning towards his ear.
"They don't know what you are, I suspect, but I do, as I'm sure you've guessed." he muttered quietly. "Myobu or Nogit?" he asked, darkly, his long fingers clamping tight on Ieyasu's shoulder.

Hokay. So this was the only place she knew where she was semi-comfy with the people, and being a cat was... not as fun as she'd imagined, for the incubus made it very clear she'd still have to keep to her contract, cat or no. Plus her brain was smaller, and it was a lot harder to use any of her powers. crying
She ported in beneath a table at the centre, glancing to and fro to see if there was anything dangerous around. Aerandir might be cute, but now she was their size. gonk

Pueblo stared at the Aerandir as he circled around her, clucking and puffing his feathers and all that whatnot. She shrunk, watching his tail for a moment, then quickly back to him, wondering what he was exactly doing. Then, as he stretched out to n** at her wing, she jumped back spastically and shrilled for her guardian's rescue.
Fae listened to her friend, giving her complete eye contact. "Yeah, I've noticed it's fullness, too," she agreed. "Dunno what it could be, though...." She trailed off, half of that rather hinting. Only for a few seconds, her eyes darted to the sounds of the other people in the building, perferably nearby, moing about. Her eyes squinted, then shook her head. Naw, she couldn't be here. Could she?
Shaking her attention back to Nyxa, she paid attention again. "Foenix and I had a little get-together to talk about improvements on my home. I needed to ask Alyosha about chimneys and window seats," she absently spoke. Just as Pueblo cried for her attention, Fae looked over at the desperate owl/wolf being danced around by Lucius. She giggled, then walked over, giving a look tonyxa to follow. "It's alright, Pueblo. This is Lucius." She stretched her hand out to give the rooster a friendly pat on the head. "I...don't know what he's exactly doing," she looked to Nyxa for help. "But I'm sure he's just playing with ya. It's okay, go ahead. He's real playful once youget to know him," she insisted.
Then, something lurked in the shadows of the Centre. Or at least, Fae could sense the energy of another come into the room. She looked around until she spotted apair of cat eyes, peering out to her. She blinked. Since when did Alyosha have a cat? She held turned her attention away from the two Aerandir and held her hands out, already sqwatting. "C'mere, kitty!"

Ieyasu wondered for a moment at Alyosha's actions, slightly taken aback. For a brief moment, he realised that something was up - just before the other man muttered quietly in his ear. Ieyasu stiffened slightly at the words. He had had a feeling that this one would have realised, just as he had about Alyosha.
As Alyosha's friendly nature vanished in the blink of an eye, Ieyasu's did also. He had no idea which answer was the 'right' answer here. Not that it would have changed his low answer. There was a hint of defiance and defense in his tone.
"I hold no allegiance. I do what I do because I want to, not as a servant. Does that answer your question?" He stared at Alyosha openly for a moment.

She looked at Fae indignantly, although this was a look every other cat gave when called. Kitty indead! If she could, she would have blushed... this was degrading in a way, right up there with walking into the men's bathroom on accident when she was younger... twice. In a row. Gah!
So now the question was was it better to hide or to scale Mt. Fae and take her chances? Either way she needed to figure out a way to converse with someone, but neither choice was going to provide that opportunity. After a moment's thought she ventured towards Fae a bit, eyeing the gryphons.
Mind you, she knew they wouldn't attack her, but at the same time she couldn't help but be afraid. Everything was a lot bigger now.

Alyosha relaxed his hand a little, nodding. "I hold no love for Myobu... I don't think I could stand one being so close." He still spoke in hushed tones, lower than the others could hear. "I have no problem with others...." He lifted his hand from Ieyasu, the intensity draining from his eyes.
"How about I show you where that rice is..?" he said cheerily, as if nothing had happened.

Nyxa chuckled and watched Pueblo and Luc, nodding solemnly to Fae, "Ah, I'm sure he won't mind. I'm pretty sure you can do what you like, and a chimney and window seats sound lovely." Her eyes landed on the poor cat that came tumbling in from nowhere, and she glanced warily at Luc. At times he got a little.. overzealous in his play, and he needed to be reprimanded.
Luc tried to console the poor creature that seemed so frightened of him. Didn't she understand that they were of the same race? Tilting his head to and fro, he approached Pueblo once more, intent on her tail. He paid no heed to the new cat, instead focusing solely on Pueblo. Chirping softly, he plopped down in front of her with earnest eyes. He didn't hurt her, did he? He didn't think he had. He raised his front paw and waved it at her in a charming manner.
Nyxa shook her head at them, turning her attention back to Fae and the strange cat that had taken up residence in her lap.

Ieyasu relaxed visibly as Alyosha drew back, the defiance fading fast from his pale eyes. Good... looks like a wild one. Straightening up, he looked at Alyosha for a moment. A pause passed, before he suddenly grinned. "Well, that's two things we have in common, isn't it?"
He crouched down, placing the jar back in his rucksack and snapping the bag closed. Picking it up with some care, he slipped the bag over one shoulder. "Lead the way."
