Desmond smiled more. Another time he was glad dead people couldn't blush. Twice in the same afternoon, two more and he'd break his old record. "I'm glad you're here too." he couldn't think of anything witty, which didn't happen very often.

Desmond put his arm over his shoulder. "I haven't actually thought about it." he was surprised he hadn't. He usually thought about random things, how had fish not been included anywhere?

Desmond shrugged. "I couldn't even remember my own name, you know." he smiled at the thought. Then frowned as he thought about his grave. The last name, date of birth, and date of death was all scratched out.

"Oh, sorry. Force of habit, I guess." Desmond shrugged it off and looked at her again. He had forgotten it had been about a week since he woke up from his last dirt-nap. Shadow form wouldn't be leaving him alone for so long.

Desmond smiled and followed her closer to the pond. "I'm sure I could find some if I tried." that was due, of course, to his ability to not breathe unless he wanted to.

By that time, he had climbed a tree, taken his shirt off and crouched to jump off and into the water, he made no splash. Intangibility was helpful sometimes.
