Shiori Miko Pestilent Sins "Change" happened during the 90's for men. Now we've got idiots who let women walk all over them because they wanted to express their "feelings". : Look what we got now. Buncha men who are mostly whiners and criers. Being manly isn't so much about being all macho and s**t. It's about dealing with your problems and your life with a strong resolve. Trying to avoid making excuses for yourself. Not caring about whether you look pretty or not. -_-;; I know I'm god awful ugly, but I don't sit there and let that s**t get to me. I man up, I go out, and I talk to women and try to being straightforward and sincere. That's being manly. Also, learning things to their mastery is pretty manly. Actually that seems to be more sexist than manly. I really am a bit sexist so I don't see why that reason was sexist though, but it remains to seem as not sexist to me though.

I realized it is sexist, but not because he says it's manly, it means females who do it are manly. :3 It is womanly too as I may say. Yep, I'm a sexist who respects gender. :3

You give me sexist, I give you feminazis. : Being manly doesn't consist to only men, as Arc said. Though times have changed, considering in ancient times, women were seen as the child bearers, and men were the hunters. Trust me, women had it ALOT harder in those times, than they do now. ^_^ (Also, not implying you're a feminazi. razz I just don't care for being called sexist. I just don't like how I see how men get all weak because they were taught to treat women higher than them, instead of treating ladies equally.)

The point of this thread, regardless on whether you view it as sexist or not. Is about being manly. Women can be manly. Never said they couldn't. If we didn't have manly women, I don't think we'd have had an easy time winning World War 2. Since well, the men went off to war, and the women were busy working the men's jobs through and through, that means making weapons and building things. Construction and the whatnot would not have gone on without women being manly at the time. They stepped up to a resolve and dealt with it at the time instead of whining "But I'm fragile, I dun wanna do it" like alot of kids act these days. neutral So being "manly" isn't stuck to solely men. Honestly, I think the manliest person in the world was the Queen of England, she was the baddest b***h alive and didn't bow beneath the tyranny of the Germans.

You said it well because most of the things associated with being "old school manly" ARE about being strong, but you left out one thing, there will always be women who are like that too, the Native Americans called them Man-hearted-women and they were HIGHLY prized for marriage and highly respected. Man-hearted-women would often be leaders of villages and often hunt just as the men did.
