Tat looked at Talia with hopeful eye. So this she-wolf had left her pack when she was a teenager. That thought thrilled Tat. Maybe...if she could persuade Talia...she could get Talia to convince dad that a trip to the freelands was far overdue. Pulling her aside now would be impossible, especially with Tsume around, but maybe later? Yes! That was what she would do.
"I just assumed you were from a pack, but I guess I assumed right." Her voice was bright and cheery and when Tsume spoke Tat did little to supress such joy.
"I am too older." She grinned. "Cause when I was a pup I couldn't do this as easily as I can now." And with one quick movement Tat reached out with her jaws to clamp gently down on Tsume's ear and tug playfully.

Talia smiled back at her mate, quite fine with the observation, and more than just fine to see one of his rare smiles, not just one but two!
She wasn't bothered by Tatiana's curiosity too much. It seemed that she just felt sheltered, and she couldn't fault her for wanting to get out into the world. Of course, Talia had never really been much of a puppy-type, herself, normally prefering the company of the older wolves in her pack as opposed to pups that were so rough-and-tumble. She'd been a little preen-queen as a pup.
She did feel almost jealous, and found herself checking the emotion quickly. Tatti was more tactile than she was used to, well... more like, Tatti was just as tactile as Talia herself was, and she never realized how tactile that was.
She was just opening her mouth to reply when she stopped, noticing a mountain of a wolf stepping foward in the middle of their path.
Immediately she took in the scent, wanting to not be caught unawares if this was the alpha. The last thing she wanted was to be mentally blindsided by thinking he was of lower rank. Indeed, judging by the way he carried himself-- though it was kind of half-assed in her opinion --he was in charge.... halfway.
"Tsume! Long time no see, stranger."
Hige wore a lopsided grin, standing before the couple and his plotting daughter. He and Loki's den was just behind him, Loki currently resting inside.

Tsume jerked his head back to free his ear from the young females grasp. In return he shot her a dark glare and a warning growl. He really wasn't the touchy-feely type with anyone but Talia. "You're able to do that now yes, but not allowed to."
He probably put her mood down, but it was better she understood the rules now before an offence could be more serious.
He caught Hige's cent the moment the alpha aproached and nodded at the brown-furred packleader. "Not a stranger yet, but well met after a long time in the freelands. How are you and Loki doing?"
He settled down close to Talia, his ears perked forward at attention. He wondered how Hige would react to his mate.

Tat grinned at Tsume, knowing his glares and growls wouldn't be much more than that. Tsume was a big softie down inside, well, he always was when she was a pup. It didn't appear like he changed at all though during his journeys.
The scent of her father caused Tat to look forward where Hige was standing. Smiling Tat padded up to his side and plopped herself down on the dusty earth. Her consistant tail movment picking up dust and dirt and flinging it into the air. She knew that Hige needed to speak to Tsume and Talia, why else would the two come to the den? Glancing up at Hige Tat yawned a bit but her energy hardly waned as she watched the proceedings.

Loki snoozed lightly, lost in dreams of puppy and packlands, just about ready to awaken and face whatever might be waiting for her. Slowely sleep's power wore off and she stirred, lids opening slowely to reveal light blue eyes - vision pouring in through only one. She stood, shaking the den's dust from her fur and halted silently as many scents caught her nose, one being unfamiliar but laden by the scent of another she knew.
"Hige?" she murred softly, trusting in full that he would be there taking care if any problem should arise with this new smell. She made her way up the den tunnel and out into the light, not having to look far for the others. She fluffed her fur and took a few steps forward, head and tail in commanding positions.
"Hello, Tsume.. and.. ?" she left blank for Tsume's new friend to speak her name, giving a warm smile as she nuzzled Hige's neck.

The monochrome femme looked up as she was given the silent cue to fill in her name. "Talia,"
Hige's mate was also of natural coloring, there seemed to be quite a number of wolves in these woods with such, and most of them were well suited to their coats. Both alphas gave off a feeling of comfort between them. It was obvious that the two had chosen to mate for life just by the way they carried themselves around one another. It was sweet...
Talia's eyes darted from the female alpha's figure to Hige's again, and back. She didn't look either in the eye directly but did look them in the face. She was going for respectful, not pushover or omega.
Hige, meanwhile, just grinned a bit at Tatiana, nodding his head to his daughter who had just before all this, been wandering the lands. He wasn't aware how restless she was, but he knew that she was restless, period.
As Loki came alongside of him, brushing her head against his neck he rumbled quietly. He was glad that she'd joined them, it seemed like this was going to be important.
"Oh, you know, we're getting by." He grinned before directing his eyes to the black, gray, and white female standing before them. "Talia, right? Nice to meet you. You can relax. A friend of Tsume's is welcomed here."
Ah, good, she seemed to take that advice to heart and straightened a bit, raising her head though still not at a challenging level.
"So, what about you, Tsume? Obviously you have at least some bit of news?"
He meant Talia, and he could barely hide his mirth, now... what brought the male back with her? Did he want her allowed into the pack?

Tsume watched Talia's interaction with the alphas and smiled. She handled the situation really well. He nuzzled her gently before looking at Hige.
"There isn't much to tell from the freelands, but I do have news." He looked between them and his mate. "I am leaving the pack to stay with Talia. I know, you said she is welcome here, but there are others in the freelands she is attached to."
He looked directly at Hige then. "But before we go I want to show Talia the ocean."

Tat's tial stopped immediatly as Tsumes words registered in her mind. He...they were leaving? No, surely Talia and Tsume could just visit those Talia is attached to, not just leave the pack all together. A small wimper escaped the young youth before she rose to all four paws, artic blue orbs drifting over both Talia and Tsume before turning and leaving the area, heading to the sandy beach. She had not heard any other words, not after hearing about the direction one of the pack members, and his newly found mate were going with their lives.
A small amount of anger rolled over Tat's heart as she moved as far from the group as quickly as possible with her steady trot. "Fine, let them leave." She muttered angerily. "Let them go and enjoy life while..." She sniffed. "While I stay here and rot away. Maybe I should just take off now." She truly wasn't made at Tsume and Talia, she was just more frusturated that others were going out to start a life outside the pack, and she was stuck roaming the same areas continuesly.
The dark groun eventually lightened as grains of sand mingled with the dirt before taking over the ground and spreading over the earth til the sea licked at it. Sighing, the youth walked up to the water line and sat down just inches from it. The waves just barely missing white paws that left imprints in the sand.
Sea gulls flew overhead, the voices ringing through the air, but Tat paid little attention to them as her eyes gazed out over the salty water that stretched further than her eyes could see.

"Talia" she repeated, committing the name to memory. "Very nice to meet you." she smiled and sat, never being one to keep up alpha appearances over comfort, especially if all was well - and to Loki, all was well here. She kept her smile as Talia took Hige's advice and relaxed a bit. Loki leaned a bit on her mate and waited for Tsume's news, not heartset on him staying, as he could very well have decided to go back to the freelands with his new love.
Her ears layed back a bit in sadness as he told of his decision, though she kept the smile across her maw. She was just grateful that he would be happy, and knew that no matter what, Tsume and Talia, and whatever family they might bring, would always be welcome in this land. She nodded, showing that she supported his decision.
"The ocean is beautiful now more than ever." she commented, trusting in full that Talia would love it as much as she and Hige did. She opened her maw to speak again but was left silent as Tat left. She noted the obvious disappointment when her tail stilled, and her smile faded a bit, knowing in full that she would have done the same thing in Tat's situation. She stared after the younger wolf but did not move to go after her. Loki was never good at finding the right words to comfort others.

She sat silent beside her mate, letting him do the talking here. She felt a smile tugging at her maw, though, it was true that she was very curious to see the ocean with her own eyes. It was hard to contain herself right now, for some reason she just felt so full of playful affection. Now was hardly the time, though.
Her heart sunk a bit, going out in a way to the disappointed teenager. She could recall being that age and wishing nothing more than to be free to see the rest of the world...
Neither alpha seemed ready to do anything, though both did shoot worried looks after. Talia ALMOST rose to her paws, surpressing a frown. Were both of them going to just sit there?
"She's a little disappointed, we haven't had time to get out much lately." Hige admitted regretfully. He really needed to talk to her... "But, hey, feel free to show her around Tsume, and don't be strangers."
He gave a supportive curl and fan of his tail to accompany the small grin that came back to his maw.

Tsume nodded at Hige's request. "Of course we won't be total strangers. It's not like we're traveling to the other end of the world."
He looked to where Tatti had disappeared. He could understand the young wolves ambitions for traveling and seeing other places. Maybe...
He looked at Talia, hoping his mate would not mind the idea he was about to voice.
"Maybe we can Tatti along on our way back to the freelands. She seems eager to go explore. She would enjoy meeting the other wolves." He looked at Hige, since the alphas had been somewhat the parents to the young female.

Huh, Hige's look said it all. He was like an overprotective father over a pup of blood-relation, or--
~Just like Kouji.~ Talia muttered in her thoughts, casting her eyes away from Hige with both amusement and a mild annoyance.
Balan had already disappeared with a female scent, the same that had lingered and then disappeared before Selia's visit ended.
Tsume could be trusted, true, but Tatti had a strong independent streak, as Hige had noticed. He'd noticed her lingering near the pack boarders several times, and found it a wonder that she hadn't disappeared before now. Her respect and patience was admirable, but obviously reaching it's end...
Talia thought that Hige was never going to speak up. She was so close to speaking up in Tatiana's defense that her throat began to twitch in preperation-- but Hige beat her to the punch again.
"Alright, I guess that's a good idea. Balan disappeared while you were gone and with the rest of the pack still getting situated it'd probably be best if we stayed here a bit longer. I'm sure she'll be glad to hear the invitation."
His look grew ominous, lowering his head a bit to look at the scarred male expectantly. 'I expect you to take care of her while you're out, Tsume...' his eyes said.

*Calico wandered lazily through the forest before comming up on Hige and many other wolves, his gaze lingering over them for a few moments before he casted a side glance towards a large tree, thick low branches reaching low enough towards the ground, made an excellent climbing point, but he wanted to see what exactly what was going on ahead. His bright green eyes casting looks over both the tree and the area were the wolves had gathered, while a flick of his ears was put in motion when the sound of sea gulls filled the area.
Looking upwards he stared at the birds blankly before sitting upon his haunches, with his mouth gaping open in a grin. His small stubby tail dusting the ground in a wag as he watched the strange birds fly over towards the sea side. Strange little birds, ones that he had never seen before, course, he''s never seen a sea side either, the biggest body of water he had seen was a lare river and even that wasn''t so large compared to the sea side that Hige detailed. Speaking of which, he would have to check it out lately, along with many other things around here.
For now the tree could wait, he would see what was going on up ahead, before he came back to the tree and had a little climbing frenzy. The tree wasn''t going anywhere, it would still be there when he returned just like every other tree around here.
Striding forward, he shook his head, ridding himself of any pesky bugs that happened to find there way into his fur. It was time to meet his new ''family'' for the first time.*

((Find an area that's free (doesn't have to be as spaced as the current dens are, though that would work too--) and PM the mule with a description of the place you picked. ^^ Use the existing landmarks, so if you want Calcio's den near water pick an area near one of the rivers, or feel free to add a small stream. Stuff like that--))

Tsume nodded at Hige, understanding perfectly. Tatti was like a daughter to Hige, and he would make sure the shewolf would arrive at the freelands without a scratch.
