DUDE! i just saw this one guy on the corner or a street holding a sign saying that 'homosexuality is a sin'. i was only at the stop light for a minutie and he was beeped at like 5 times and flipped off quite a bit more -_-' if i was really into telling strangers what to do i would of told him, "I wouldn't tell sinners to NOT sin." u know? yeah, just had to say that i guess...

OMG its Luisito We aren't perfect, but when you are close to God you can work toward committing sins less (like lying, and stealing) till the point where you don't do it, but I don't believe that people can actually be celibate without thinking pervertedly and becoming restless when seeing someone they're attracted to. Hence all the scandals in the catholic church about priests molesting little boys. The only one who could achieve this celibacy (without the perverted thoughts thing) was Jesus, but this is because he is the perfect son of God, so let's not even go there. Basically what your saying is that Paul (who was celibate) was dead wrong about celibacy. rolleyes OMG its Luisito No Jebediah stated his opinions of why he disagreed with Ananel's thesis, which were clearly disproved by Tangled up in Blue and Sinner. The only reason why you think he has shown this is because you agree with him. But everything he said was refuted, because everything he stated was pure opinion with nothing to back him up. *chuckles* I suggest you re-read this whole topic if you think that Tangled up in Blue and Sinner disproved me. Infact, I wouldn't mind correcting Tangled up in Blue or Sinner again on this subject. Funny thing is that you don't find Baptist Holman's sources as creditable but yet you find Ananel's thesis as creditable. I'm up for a debate.

Jedediah Smith I prefer you going first, amigo. Given that my case, that the bible does not condemn homosexuality, is a negative one, it would be much easier if you just went ahead and made a statement of some sort. Of course if you demure again, then I will go ahead and put something up, if only for the sake of getting things going.

May I suggest that we just start with the thesis, and letting Smith take it from there?

Sinner May I suggest that we just start with the thesis, and letting Smith take it from there? Well you can if you want to. I just wanted to try something a little different for once. On the other hand, no matter what gets posted first I know exactly how the debate will unfold, so it would only be nominally 'different'. So, yes, M. Smith, we will start with Ananel's thesis, and you can feel free to take it from there.

Ensamflygar In danger of being beheaded at my second post in this guild: I am a christian, I have read the bible, and I don't feel homosexuality is a sin, and I don't belive God feels this way either. How could love possibly be taken as a sin? In danger of sounding like a complete moron at my second post in this guild: I like you. Sign me up for your church!

Yeah I don't believe it's possible to be celibate and not have any bad thoughts.
Paul talked about how he felt about being celibate. He wasn't perfect, therefore, he must've of lusted in his mind, which is exactly what I'm talking about. Maybe you should read everything I said first.
And I'll let Sinner and TUIB take care of the correcting here. They're more learned in this than I am.
Kbaaai.
