She dared not make any single sound and had a hand carefully clamped over Ziazan's mouth to prevent any outbursts. As they continued along, the woman looked around their surroundings. The old ship was somewhat spooky in the dead of night, but Lilith wasn't the easiest to scare... At least, she thought so.

After they progressed down a second set of stairs, Lilith saw that they were indeed in the cargo hold. It was a spacious room filled with giant carts of unknown objects. She looked around, being wary and ready to act if there were any guards around, which was likely. She looked in the direction of Nikki and Hayes, waiting for their command.

Clyde flashed his partner a goofy grin when she glanced at him. When the group started to move forward, he tried to walk a little faster (without giving up any silence - not an easy task on an old ship with creeky floorboards) to catch up with her. They were finally headed to the cargo hold *and* he got to walk with his best friend. This was going great, hopefully they wouldn't run into anything serious though. He had heard about some pretty serious injuries from the last raid. The grunt didn't need another scar.

User ImageOh baby, baby! Sorano followed after TRP silently as they curved down the segment of stairs and found themselves in a stow-away room. Here they were . . . their targeted destination. Sorano felt a piece of delight blossom within his chest like new budded lotus. Hell yeah~! He casted a smile towards his Shuppet and the ghost Pokemon did the same. More evilness to come!

After tying down the guards (so many knots, one could only hope they had the fingernails to pull them apart) Jen followed the rest of the group down another set of stairs (HONESTLY! Didnt these sailor people know how to take care of their friggin' ship?! Geez....) before they came across the hold and all its bounty. Pokemon galore just waiting to be stolen.

But one thing had been bothering the grunt all this time. Stepping closer to the elite, Jen carefully reached out and tugged on her sleeve. "Ma'am." Her voice was still in a soft whisper. "This could be just nerves speaking, but I think it's best we be careful when taking the pokemon out of the crates. For all we know, someone could have put security measures of sorts among the pokemon themselves."

Zach looked around the hold, and saw the other group on the opposite side. So both groups made it, that's good. Maybe we will make it through this without incident then. That would be nice. Zach just wanted this to be over with and out as soon as possible, the longer they lingered the more likely they were to be caught.

User Image Look at all those crates... good thing Nyx brought plenty of bag space. Jen was right though, they could be rigged like treasure in a Canalave City Jones movie.

Mission jitters aside, Nyx was very proud of Newton. Her drifloon had never even seen a battle before... Oh hey! It was the other group. Looked like they'd had just as badass a time as Team Elite!

User ImageThe stairs made him nervous. The years of rust and lack of paint showed thorough and he worried it would hold the groups weight, and was amazed when it did. Paranoia set in and he glanced over his shoulder at the third guard, wishing they had been ordered to tie him up too. Giving up the notion, he walked into the hold and he could just see the other group. He made no motion toward them, waiting for orders.

Hayes grinned at Nikki as if to say 'Cool, huh?' When he slid the display shut, they were in darkness again.

The agent followed after his partner, content to let her lead for now. It wasn't in his training, but Hayes moved easily through the darkness - if he was tense, he radiated none of it to the surrounding air, blending in with the scenery.

It was an old ship. It creaked. Some of the noises might have been his.

When they reached the hold Hayes paused and squinted in the darkness for a sign from the elite.

Akemi and Rei continued to creep forward down the hallways. There were a few unconscious guards along the way.. But no one seemed to be moving. Frustrating, but at the same time a good sign..

Finally upon arriving at yet another staircase leading down, she thought she could hear something downstairs. "This is probably the hold.. They're most likely there, aren't they? The shipment should be down there.." she muttered to her Espeon, glancing about warily still. Rei simply nodded, moving downstairs with its usual silent grace. The girl followed, trying her best to keep the somewhat rusty staircase from creaking. No matter how skinny she was, it was still difficult to stay completely quiet.

Several crates lined the cargo hold, each with a locking mechanism on them. What lay inside is exactly what they came for, loads of pokeballs containing rare Pokemon from other regions.

Nikki caught sight of the other group, and led her party in their direction. TRP would know best how to proceed after all, and it would be unwise to simply jump the gun and start filling their bags full of pokemon.

However, the agent suddenly froze as she heard a low growl coming from the shadows between some of the crates. A pair of glowing eyes leered at her. A few more growls followed suit, and three Houndooms with spiked collars appeared, bristling and snarling menacingly.

A fourth lurked behind the agent group, but lifted its head as he heard someone coming. It lept up the stairs to land directly in Akemi's path, fangs bared.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Lilith stayed close with her group, maneuvering her way through the deep gloom. The group stopped and so did she, stroking Ziazan's bright pink head. She heard a low growling sound and turned around towards the noise. There stood three menacing looking Houndooms, teeth bared. Lilith started back a bit in apprehension and looked down to Ziazan. The Igglybuff was too small and young to fight the Houndooms and Serafina would give away their position. She frowned and stepped back to let others handle. She would not be a liability today.

User ImageSorano jumped back when the Houndooms appeared; falling to the floor with a loud clatter. His extra Pokeball rolled off of his belt and Never popped out, mimicking the enemy Houndoom by bearing his teeth and growling ferociously. just as he promised himself something, something years ago. It was pretty common sense though -- to use Pokemon as guards for the crates. If not, any little ole person could wander in, snag a Pokemon and walk out without a care. Yes, it was a bad idea to come out of his Pokeball at this time. But when Sorano was in trouble, it was his rightful duty to run to protect him Sorano began to jitter.

User ImageTRP smirked as she spotted the other group and started in their direction.

"Chime!" Furin piped up in alarm a moment before the houndooms appeared. TRP stopped suddenly, putting her arms out to stop any members of her group following.

"Careful." She warned, "We still can't risk too much noise.. or any damage to the ship's hull while we're still inside." She plucked a Poke Ball off her belt, "Deal with them quickly and quietly."
PostPosted: Sat May 29, 2010 7:44 pm

User Image Houndooms! Well, this was certainly not what she had expected. So much for TRP's "light" security. Despite the fact that the three dog pokemon were snarling their teeth at them, the girl simply stood quietly. Attacking them would have been a good plan, most surely, but at the same time...The grunt shook her head. She didn't want to jump the gun. Not only that, but Banshee was at a disadvantage against the Houndooms. This battle would have to wait, at least when she was concerned. Let someone else do the dirty work for the moment.

'Damn.' Clyde cursed mentally. Should he release Cerberus? It was about to get noisy anyway, Houndooms weren't exactly the quietest pokemon. The grunt un-clipped the Ultraball from his belt and held it in his hand, not yet releasing Cerberus. He certainly didn't want to be the one that jumped the gun and botched the whole operation.
