ALPHA far from home User Image

Wilbur knew that the students at Xavier's were on vacation at the moment. He'd begged his mom to wait until classes started back before he enrolled so he wouldn't have to watch all of the other kids have fun with his friends, while he sat…alone…on a beach. Wilbur wasn’t the best at making nice with people to begin with; adding a sunny beach and an established group of friends did not help. But, alas, Mr. Boyner, a close family friend, could only take one day off of work to watch the lighthouse while Wilbur’s mother drove him to the airport to meet up with the other students off the coast of California. His flight was scheduled to leave in three hours and they were already at the airport; just like his mother to arrive everywhere way before expected.

His flight took off without a hitch. He got off the plane with a crick in his neck and just an overall bad attitude. He would have much rather flown himself, but he wasn’t sure if he could fly for twenty-five hours straight. He probably could. Besides, he didn’t want to attract too much attention to himself coming in for a landing in the middle of a California Island. Sure there were mutants there already, but he wasn’t sure how the west coast felt about his kind. In any case, he was here now, with a bad ache in his neck, and there wasn’t much he could do about it but move on. Fortunately, the planes don’t land on the island, so he got to take a boat across. He insisted that he could sail on his own; he called in advance and made arrangements, but the marina concierge insisted that someone else go with him. Wilbur reluctantly agreed.

“Fine,” Wilbur sighed, “as long as they don’t talk too much, I’d gladly take on extra weight.”

His stowaway was a middle aged woman who smiled way too much for anyone’s taste and flashed a shiny sailing license pinned to her shirt. Wilbur politely smiled back and hurried out to the docks, not checking on his passenger

He picked a small, single masted sloop and prepared the boat. It turns out the woman was more useful than he’d thought. She rigged the mast and raised the anchor all on her own.

“I’m impressed.”
Wilbur said with a small grin. The woman smiled again without saying a word.

It took the two about an hour and a half to make it to the island. Without lowering the loading plank, he flew about forty feet onto the island.

“Just take her back from here, ma’am!” Wilbur called to the woman, who didn't look astonished at all by Wilbur's flight, but instead created a bright fire in her hand to show him that they were the same. Small world, Wilbur thought. It didn’t take him long to find the person he was looking for; he recognized her from the picture his mother showed him. Isabella Stone. Captain of the Alpha team. There was another boy starting to talk to her, so just like a cafeteria lunch line, Wilbur stopped a few feet behind the other guy and waited his turn to talk. It sounded like they were both here for the same thing; maybe this wouldn’t be so bad.

alphas: Rehydrated and meeting the new people

After playing volleyball for what seemed like a long time, Hoshi began to feel dizzy. she looked down at her watch and realized it had only been an hour since she started playing, but at least two and a half hours since she'd drank anything. She extended her wings and started for the house. "hey I'm headed up to the house for something to drink. I might be back later." She told the group. Hoshi was headed for the cottage's kitchen when a steady thub thub thub reached her ears. She looked up just in time to see a helicopter fly over head. the downdraft knocked her sideways a bit, but she quickly adjusted her wings and turned into the wind. She considered yelling at the pilot, but decided against it. it wasn't like he knew she was there, and she hadn't gotten hurt. She turned to see where the helicopter was going. she gasped as it went a bit higher and someone jumped out. Tumbling through the air gracefully, the person made a huge splash as they landed in the water. Seconds later the boy was at Bella and Gideon's side, talking to them.

Just as Hoshi turned back to the cottage, she saw the boat arriving. she smiled hugely as the boy on board flew up into the air and said something to the woman on board. another flier! she hoped that he was on the Alpha team. She darted into the house and chugged a water. Grabbing two more water bottles, Hoshi flew back outside and landed next to the boy who was obviously waiting to talk to Bella.
"Hi, I'm Hoshi. would you like some water?" She held out a bottle. "What's your favorite part of flying?" She added, curious. She began sipping on her second bottle of water, flexing her wings to catch some sun.

Omega - Beach Hut - Somethings You Just Can't Go Without

Carlos looked up at the sky watching what few clouds float by. Something he missed abit doing with Bella, but then the two of them did alot of things together as kids. He pushed it to the back of his mind and as he examined his small hut again. Slightly larger, and now covered it could protect from rain, sun, and hopefully anyone wanting to seek him out. Unfortunately for him he'd need to go back now to get some supplies. He could climb trees to get fruit, and fish with a spear or line, but a few other commodities he really didn't want to without. In particular he wanted his sketchbook to finish some drawings and tattoo designs. He looked to where he hid his bike then shrugged. He wanted to be in and out, without being announced. Easily done, though painful during the day. It was okay he mused, he was planning on taking a nap to begin with. He popped his shoulders and winked out of existence in a puff of black smoke.

ten minutes of zooming in the nether plane of his powers origin, Carlos appeared in his condo room. Well, He supposed not really. Not since he planned to stay elsewhere. He found his back and looked through it to take out some thing and put other things in. Including a few hotel towels, his phone and communicator. He shouldered the bag and sighed before looking around the room. Tempting to stay, but not at the expense of himself. He wrapped himself in darkness and was gone just as he seemingly connected with the wall he was walking into. The fear and nightmare of his powers seemed less. Maybe because the general numbness of his emotions. going through walls and other things that existed in the real world, avoiding goign through people. He was out on the beach instantly and abit suffocated.

Unless he passed through anyone to give them a noticeable chill, the only indication he was around was the disembodied shadow. He kept to shade and by a nearby tree. Mostly watching everyone, especially Cissa. Minutes may have passed. He wasn't entirely sure though the icy chill that eventually catches up even to him was enough to jar him into a sense of moving on. He waved, not that anyone would see him from the other dimension, and began flying through the dimension towards his destination, back at his camp site. When he got back he dropped his bag inside and followed using it as a pillow as he laid down and closed his eyes. Teleporting during the day was draining. More so then distance by itself. He was hoping he could still dream as he began to drift off.

User ImageAt the beach

There was something particularly ego soothing about having a guy checking you out. Some women didn’t like it and got hostile about it and other girls seemed to want to always be the center of attention. For Forellen having anyone check you out did some nice things to her female ego. Deep down in a place where she stowed her insecurities she always felt that she didn’t measure up to normal standards of attractiveness and to have someone take a moment to look her over gave her that warm and fuzzy feeling. Forellen chuckled as she listened to Kerrigans confession. ”It’s always nice to know that we have such an attractive group to look at.” She said keeping her voice down low enough so it would remain between the three of them. Finally finished liberally applying sun block to herself Forellen returned the bottle to its proper owner and rubbed the remaining lotion from her hands. Kerrigan had brought the good brand because it didn’t leave a greasy feeling behind after application.

With her skin protected Forellen threw down her towel and smoothed it out before laying down on it and sighing in contentment as she looked up at a cloudless sky for a long moment before propping up a bit to watch what was going on down on the beach. Looking at her two beach lounging companions Forellen smiled slightly. ”You know. We passed a few promising looking shops on the way here from the airport...” And Forellen wasn’t talking about the mall...malls were nice and all but a lot of the shops were, like tea, too commercialized. The little shops and boutiques tended to have a good selection and better quality then the stores. ”...Do you two want to go and wander the shops tomorrow?” She asked as another woman (Petra) approached them and began to address Narcissa.

Looks like they had a new team member...very nice, they needed some fresh blood in the group. Forellen frowned slightly trying to place the accent. The young woman sounded a lot like she had when she first arrived in the States and didn’t have a solid grasp on the English language. It sounded Russian or very close to it and the more she said the more certain Forellen was that she was Russian. So they had a metal molder...interesting power and as with most powers useful in the right situation. So during the silence after Petra’s introduction Forellen nodded at her in greeting sitting up more.

It had only been about forty five seconds in line when some girl with these great wings came up behind him. Wilbur tried his best not to look completely surprised, but he knew he failed. Instead, he gave a polite chuckle.

“Ha, you scared me a bit.” At first, Wilbur was confused about her question, but he glanced up at her wings again and he could guess what she meant. “Um flying? I dunno,” He paused. “I supposed it’s being in the air itself, you know? Down here, there’s no getting away from all of the crap that just pisses you off, right? And up there, it’s completely different. All we got up there are the birds and the occasional plane, but that’s okay now and then.” Before he could keep going, Wilbur stopped himself from getting to poetic. He hoped that another flier could understand him getting away from himself while talking about.

He took the water bottle and tipped it toward her graciously. “Thanks. What about you? Is flying with wings just as awesome as it looks?” Wilbur figured he’d be waiting for a minute or two so he didn’t see the harm in making friends, which reminded him, “Oh, um, what team are you on? I got put on the Alphas, hence the reason I’m trying to talk to her.” Pointing at Bella.

Omegas - Beach - Finding Something to Do

User ImageMaddy padded off behind Hoshi as the volleyball was winding down. Soon after it started she had stopped bothering to keep track of the score. now it was time to get some more sun block and find something else to do. Like maybe clean out the sand that was places were it ought not to be.

The girl snatched her towel up out of the sand and twirled it in the air before throwing it over her shoulders to block of any more of the sun it them. That too was full of sand, and she had to shake it off before repeating the wrapping motion as the walked along the water, squinting in the bright light as waves hit her feet every couple of steps.

Looking around, she wondered how some new people had gotten here. These people weren't on the plane in, were they? Her eyes weaved about quickly as they always did, scanning and landing a on girl with Narcissa. Maddy still felt guilty about not getting much time in with the "elders' of her team, but then again she was never one to go out of her way to make friends... Awkwardness and being unsure around new people didn't help too much either. She never liked going up to people shouting 'Hi I'm Maddy!', nor did she think it was very smooth.

Well, this new girl was good looking, though... Maybe a year or two older than her, but still. ...She was still allowed to look, right? Her relationship with Vallon confused even her...

She folded her arms behind her back and headed to the group of Narcissa, Petra, Kerri, and Forellen. If the new one was to be an Omega, that would be all the team's women here, but one.

She swished her lips side to side oddly while still walking up. "Hello, hello all."

User ImageOmega: New faces

While she had been on the plane, she did a small bit of reading up on the team. Some of the long standing faces she had known from being at the school for a semester or two. Some of them she just didn't know at all. But, if she did anything well, it was remembering people when she needed to.

The white haired girl was French, she remembered this. Knowing French better than she did English, she spoke to Forellen, "vous êtes français, oui ? où en France avez-vous habité ? J'ai modelé à Paris pour pendant quelque temps."

Nodding to the girls, "English is third language. Trying to learn.... eh since coming to New York."

Maddy came over and she looked like she was an interesting girl. Very cute, very edgy. Petra could have easily seen this one finding a home in front of a camera, "You are.... Maddy, yes? I am Petra."

While trying to find her place for the moment, she ran her fingers across the omnium collar she wore and then she ran the adamatium cross back and forth across it's chain. The weight of the metal did not bother her as it would some others. Her strength offset the burden otherwise the power would have been useless.

"Beach is calm, yes? Who vant to cause trouble vith me?" She put her shoulder bag on the ground and arched an eyebrow at Maddy who quite potentially seemed to be the one who might partake in turning a calm beach into something incredibly more fun to be at, "Four vater pistols... whole ocean of cold vater..."

User ImageAlpha: What's a girl to do

The game was no fuss, no drama. The funny thing was that she was surprised by that. Almost every time there was anything competitive in her history, somebody took it to the extreme. Sometime she was guilty of this to a degree. Sometimes it was somebody with a vengeance or somebody out to prove themselves as top dog. (Either of those two cases usually set Evie to a place where she had to prove she could be top dog anytime she wanted to be.... today was not that day.)

When done, she tied her hair up in a ponytail as the sweat trailed down her back. After wiping sweat off her forehead with her arm, she downed a bottle of water and ran for the water to cool off. As the waves splashed up around her, she registered the shock to her senses and it woke her up even more.

Evie kept a distance from her teammates and watched the lot. New teammates appearing from the beach house. Old teammates trying to figure themselves out. She knew she fell into that lot. Being away made the dynamic different. She usually would dive wherever she wanted to be head first. But she had no clue how all the webs were woven. Moments like these allowed her to try and figure it out.

Her eyes were quick. She knew when things were out of place. Carlos. He used to sneak into her room at night trying to enact out a high school bet. She had known when he was there. The shadows were off and there was that chill. Most wouldn't notice. Her eyes caught it. Then it was gone.

"Where did you go, 'los," She muttered to herself pressing her lips together and narrowing her eyes in curious thought. So many bridges to build back. Who to start with? Bella? Cissa? Carlos? She wished for Reikon but that was neither here nor there He wasn't here. That was the fact. If he would ever return, that was unknown. Now is now. Tomorrow is tomorrow.

"Hm," She said and walked to the beach, picked up her bottle of water, and went back to the house. It was time to look for adventure. In the house, she went into tracking mode. Going upstairs, she grabbed her own bag and threw her wallet, water, and of course hid a weapon or two on her person. Standing still, in the hallway she focused on the smells that remained in the hallway. Logan had taught her a long time ago to pull apart the scents in an area and follow them.

Outside. Bike. Her eyes saw the tracks even if they had been crossed over by a taxi and the footwork of new teammates. One of them wore very expensive shoes by the imprint. He took off on a bike. Direction. That way. So she started walking... jogging... observing. Rent a bike in town. Stay on the trail.

Evie had trained years with Gideon and Logan. Tracking was something she easily could do. This place hadn't rained It wouldn't be hard. He left on bike, the scent was faint. But another part of her power was anticipation, tactics. Part of her observation skills, part of her instincts.

Drove a bit reckless. Trail getting faint but rubber marks in road. The tank was getting low and she pulled into a gas station. Scent. He had been there. Back on the trail. It grew faint and she could tell the driving had been smoother, less marks on the road. But she could anticipate, still smelt the exhaust. Mindset was important. The calm started here. Follow it.

Scent goes there. There was a strip mall. No, not here. He returned for something. Supplies? Maybe. Wouldn't have needed to leave here to return to the condo. He's elsewhere. The scent was strong near the buildings so she determined where it went from there. Back on the road. Her eyes watched the road for any signs of turn off. About a mile out she saw the disturbance on the road where there would be a turn off. Stopping her bike, she turned it off.

It was quiet. Her ears listened for anything. Nobody else, but she knew she was in the right spot. His scent was all over the sand, the shrubbery she began to pass, everything. She left her bike near where Carlos' obviously was. Looking around she could see why he was there and very well could have intended to be there for a bit. Quiet. Beautiful.

Impressive, She commented to herself about the created camp. Quietly she walked towards and listened. She thought that if she were too loud he would just 'port himself away. Why am I here? Her only answer was. I have nowhere else to be. Looking in the hand-made hut, she saw that Carlos had drifted off to sleep.

With stealth at hand, she walked in and sat cross legged on the ground. No intention on waking him, she leaned back and meditated to herself. Muir Island helped give her a ridiculous ability of patience and waiting. Was sitting here with his power dangerous? Probably. Did Evie ever care? No, she did as she pleased.

Omega: From A really Weird Dream, Into A Weird Reality

Carlos wanted to dream. But what he was dreaming was like an acid trip in a neon light store. Floating marshmallows, and talking dogs. He half expected it to go into something horrifying, as was usual and the source of his insomnia. Instead it remained pleasant, if not weird. something though was tugging at him from reality. Instinct, habit, something not completely explainable. The dream world faded and he was in blackness. His eyes opened slowly, and that feeling was as he came to know it his extra sense. And someone was quite near, someone familiar. He didn't get up or move to see who it was. It only took a moment for him to register that much. After a few years he knew almost everyone by their signature, their life force.

He sighed as he sat up crossing his legs and gripped some sand in his hand and let it sift through his fingers. He didn't look at Evie, not really wanting to. He was considering the time he left and how long it takes to usually get here. he was asleep nearly half an hour. " usually this would seem like a dream and it would usually get kinky, but since I'm waking up. To what do I owe the pleasure of this being reality?". His humor was off, not exactly monotone but not as energetic either as his default amusement. He grabbed anther handful of sand and repeated the process of letting it slowly run through his fingers while he contemplated the encounter in his head.

She would know he obviously wanted to be alone. He went through alot of trouble to be away from everybody thus far. He wasn't upset, but neither was he expectant. He was hoping he would have left alone for atleast a day or two. Fat chance. Again with the sand. It was a basic feeling, and he liked how it felt, the texture of the grain as it slipped between his fingers. It reminded him how simple he usually liked things to be. How complicated they got. He guessed at every reason or concern Evie would have to come find him like this but as always she was too wildcat to figure out, always one or two pieces you can't see with her. His Guesses could be utterly wrong, She could be here just to be Evie. Boredom.

Alpha: No rhymes or reasons

Somewhere in her meditation she was having a conversation to the wolf that she had kept calling Wolfy in her mind. As much as she hated that part of her, it was still around somewhere even if the power itself was gone. In meditative states, she and Wolfy would go around discussing her own logic. And really nothing came of it. It just made her remember who she was and how she always had been before the insanity had started.

Carlos' movement opened her eyes and immediately she did what she did. She observed facial expressions, eye contact (or lack there of), vocal tones, and everything else down to temperature (which really was tricky on Carlos being the mutant he was.) The figurative chill was apparent. She knew she probably wasn't welcome. Most folks go to these efforts if they don't want to be found. Evie was one that never respected people's boundaries because she never wanted them to respect hers really. Very few understood that. One could go back to her old games in high school. She always wanted somebody to catch her when she jumped off the barn roofs even if nobody always did.

With a faint smirk she responded with a wink, "That was another day and age ago and I would say reality was just as good as a dream."

"Is it really a pleasure, Carlos? I highly doubt you really wanted to be tailed, but you know me. When shiny... or shadowy objects catch my eye, I tend to follow them. You can tell me to go if you want. I might just go sit outside for lack of anywhere else to be but I'll listen."

Of course, the question remained. Why. Running her fingers into the sand, letting the cool envelop her. Part of her wanted to just bury herself in the sand. Something about the sensation was something that calmed her. So many grains. Her mind wanted to count each one.

Sliding across the floor on her backside, she moved next to her friend. Tilting her head down she tried to force him to actually look at her for once in two weeks, "Carlos, it's just me. I don't know what the hell has gone on the last two months. I'm the last one who is gonna judge you. And I'm the last one who should. I left these teams as a bat crazy b***h and walked back onto them covered in demon blood."

She put an arm around his shoulders and a peck on the cheek, she said, "You've always been one of the first person to find me when I got into bad situations. I'm your friend. I'm concerned. Talk to me or just sit with me. Either way is fine."

Ω+M+ε+G+α⌡- And now I spy some new guys

Well the volleyball game had ended, with no one entirely sure who won, but the point was they had fun. But now more importantly there were some new faces on he beach, two near Bella and one near Cissa.

While it wasn't bad to have friends outside the Omegas, meeting the new Omega first should take priority to schmoozing with the other team. The new girl seemed to be meeting with all of the girls on the team, probably not the best thing to jump right into the middle of, so rather than making a beeline for any of the new people he just stopped in the middle of an empty area on the beach and stretched his arms up before a small spray of red sparks flared from his hands.

He dropped his arms and looked at his hands it had been a long time since his powers had flared up against his will, oh well he'd just stroke it up to a moment of lost control and go on with his life.

Now the question was what to do, they were at a beach but they had already played in the water like little children and they had already played volleyball. What else was there to do at the beach really?

User ImageIt had been a long week with all that had been going on recently, and frankly, Matthew was simply confused.

The news of his promotion to an actual team came as a shock to Matthew, for as far as he was concerned, he hadn't done anything differently reason. Never the less, he had recently been sent to see Scott Summers, and was told of his new membership into the Alpha team.

At first, this was a great day for him, and he could hardly in his happiness. Quickly though, his elation deluded though, as he came to the realization that all this provided, was more work for him, so the happening was bitter sweet.

Even though he was a bit concerned about what they may have him doing, it was a bit of a relief when he heard they would be taking a vacation, and was most defiantly looking forward to it.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

As friendly as Matthew normally was, a plane ride, surrounded by a lot of people who he wasn't all that used to, and didn't see nearly as often as you may think, was starting to bother him. Matthew was used to his other classmates, and now, suddenly, he was suppose to be part of a team, with people he knew little about, and knew little about him, and needless to say, he rather preferred his space around 'strangers'.

The plane ride wasn't nearly as bad as he had thought, for the seats were comfortable, the plane was decently spacious, even with all the other kids, and oddly enough, his new teammates, didn't seem like they were in any mood to talk. This suited him fine, and gave him time to look through his list of teammates he had gotten from Scott, and begin matching faces, to names.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

Traveling from the plane to their new residence was about as eventful as the plane ride. For the most part, he spent this time looking out the window, and taking in their surroundings, trying to decide if an island was good or bad thing.

On the one hand, there wouldn't be as many girls here to meet as usual, but on the other, they might be all the more interested in meeting a foreigner, and he couldn't help but smile.

A few minutes later, his thoughts changed, as he realized that he hadn't done any DNA acquisitions recently. That had to change, so he decided that it may be a good idea to take to the waters and get a feel for what's around.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

User ImageFinally being able to set foot on land, where they would be for a while, was nice, and although he was a bit tired, he could feel his curiosity starting to get the best of him.

At first, he quickly went to see Scott, to see if there were any special rules to follow about dealing with his teams, and it wasn't until after being told to just have some fun and hang out, that he realized just how stupid his question had actually been.

By now, everyone else had probably already gotten a room, and so, he leisurely made his way up the stairs, and took one of the few remaining rooms left. It was smaller, and smelled a little funny at first, but he liked his own space, and the smell could be fixed as the wind blew in from off the sea, so it wasn't a big problem to him.

Having finally finished unpacking some of his stuff, he quickly changed into his board shorts, and was more than ready to hit the water, in search of some fresh DNA. Walking down the stairs, pretty much everything, and everyone else pushed out of his mind, he got to thinking. Maybe I should be trying to make actual friends with my new teammates? as he just made his way out the door. The sun was warm, and the sand felt great under his bare feet, but pretty much just stood there dumbstruck, as his mind turned over all the things he could be doing right now, for none of them seemed to take any sort of priority in his mind.

Omega - FEWD!

Christian was still scanning the area over when Antonio made his way to the collective. “Sure, feel free to tag along all you want,” Christian said to Antonio, wondering what exactly happened to the guy to make him wear an eye patch. More than likely something got him in Limbo, or so Christian surmised.

He nearly jumped out of his skin when Raine came up to the group. He was so wrapped up in trying to find a place that sold tackle, he didn’t readily notice the brunette sneaking up on the group. She mentioned going to find Varian, who had ducked into a shop when they first made it to the markets. “Sounds like a plan,” Christian said to Raine as she went off to gather Varian.

When Shandra declined the lunch invite, Christian just shook his head. Who would decline a good, hot meal? Again, he figured the girl had her reasons for not wanting to join the group… not only that, she seemed to be one of those loner types of people. After people left, only Antonio, Sophia, and himself were left standing and waiting for the other two to join them… but Christian was getting rather hungry.

“Thinkin’ we should get a move on… get a good table,” Christian said to Sophia, “Or at least make sure there’s a table big enough for everyone.” The idea was a sound one, it looked like the eatery that Sophia had picked out was starting to fill up and Christian was wanting to do what he could to avoid being put on a wait.

Alphas: Chatting up Freaks like Me

Hoshi smiled sheepishly as the boy told her she'd startled him. Then he began describing what it was like to fly and she nodded in agreement. "yes, it eactly like that. only the clouds below you, and the sun on your back- there's nothing like it. as for flying with wings- I've never really considered it. most of my wing isues happen on the ground- i snag them on stuff alot- you can see scars on them where they've ripped. without wings, its nice, but not quite the same thing... it makes me feel a bit unbalanced, i suppose." Hoshi took another swig of water.

"Im also on the alphas. Bella's very nice, you'll like her I think. So, usual run of questions: what's your name, Where are you from and when did you're mutation devolop?"
Hoshi asked the boy while Bella was occupied. She could hardly believe her luck that the only other flier that she knew of was on her team. "I can tell you a bit about everyone here, and what we've been up to if you'd like." she offered.

Alpha: Meet and GreetUser Image

Isabella was silent after Gideon spoke, her lips forming a thin line. Resting her wet head against his warm skin, she didn’t feel the need to keep arguing her point. On the aspect of leading things--- Of constantly taking care of the others… It was the only thing they disagreed on. It was the only thing that she and Narcissa could agree on, if secretly. Emma and Scott stopped interfering because it was time for many of them to learn to stand on their own, and often only interjected when absolutely necessary.

Vacation or not—She was still on full leader duties.

Her eyes remained closed as she stood in the wet sand, her toes sinking into it. Gideon was a tether, as always—Deceptively strong, without trying. He felt hard, solid as stone—But covered in a layer of something that made him just soft enough, made him human. Still, when her super human hearing picked up the sounds of chopper blades—She froze in his arms.

The first things she thought of, sadly, was a Gatling gun taking them out from the safety of the helicopter. She threw a visible shield around herself and Gideon, the translucent protective bubble strong and solid—Pulsating with the waves crashing against them, the noise of the chopper and the ocean giving it strength. It actually held the water away from them. “What in the world?”

She never expected to see her new Alpha dive bomb out of it—And when the shock wore off, and her heart stopped racing she let the shield go. Smiling brightly, as if she hadn’t been prepared to take the helicopter clean out of the sky. This was what fighting had done to her… Made her see danger where there was none.

Scott told me you were coming…”, Bella called to Eli, releasing Gideon as he approached. Only to thwap the boy upside the head lightly when he was close enough, her other hand on her hip—Invisible in the chest deep water. If one could see her foot, they would have seen it tapping—Albeit slowly. “But he didn’t say like that.”

“And speaking of—You could have shattered your legs…”
, she gave him the evil eye, before her face melted into its usual kind natured manner—Her mother bear instincts already kicking in hardcore. “But you didn’t. So I’ll let you off the hook for now… At any rate, welcome to the Alpha’s—“

Bella looked around Eli to see Wilbur as well, their new flyer. “Both of you, welcome to the Alpha’s."

“I’m hoping that your things will be arriving later by normal transport… If not, we’ll have to go shopping later. I know there are some spare clothes here... But its not the same as having your own things. ”, she waved her hand dismissively, apparently thinking of something more important. “You’ll have to pick out rooms too.”

Wilbur, Eli, this is Gideon and Hoshi—“
, she introduced those that were standing around her, never one to be rude as she slowly migrated towards the shore. “When we get back home we can talk about all the annoying things like school and work… But this is vacation… So just spend your time trying to get to know everyone. I’ve got comm’s for the two of you though—Just in case. They're in my room though... I'll give you a crash course on how to use them and on general PR.”

"I hope your travels were easy for the both of you?"
