Tsunaimei continued to ponder on the riddle as she noted no response whatsoever from within the room she was in. "Perhaps the peasant boy will fall the greatest? Civilians always get the worst in war." The Vice Judge tried, hoping for something to happen. Her patience was beginning to ware on her a little at this point.

The peasant faded from the painting. The question changed only slightly. "Who can't succeed and who's death will be cleanest." It now read instead.

Tsunaimei raised an eyebrow as the peasant boy vanished from the picture before her. "Interesting..." She muttered to herself as she thought on the question. Looking back and forth between the golden soldiers and the demons, she decided on a potential answer. "The Sorceress and her demons cannot succeed while the soldiers of the golden army will die a clean honorable death." Tsunaimei looked anxiously to see if anything would happen.

There was no response from the painting. ((Also while I know it's somewhat late and it doesn't do anyone any good right now... Here is what the glow on teh magic door in the hall looks like.))

"Huh... Well then how about the opposite then? Good cannot truly triumph over evil while their death will be clean and swift." Tsunaimei said, speaking the only option she could think of.

Everything faded from the painting save for one golden soldier and one large skeleton soldier. The words faded and reappeared in a red hue. "All things in life cannot be won, not when all can be said and not done. Sometimes you must face all of your foes, and some you may face are really heroes." As the words formed the surface of the painting began to ripple like the surface of a lake. Moving as if it'd come to life the skeleton and the golden soldier stepped out of the painting and into the room. Standing on either side of Tsunaimei they readied themselves for battle with the blue knight.

Tsunaimei couldn't help but grin at so easy a challenge that was presented before her now. "I'll take a straight fight over stupid riddles any day." Tsunaimei commented as she readied herself with eagerness. She took the initiative and went after the larger of the two adversaries and aimed a horizontal swipe at the undead skeleton. The blue holy knight kept looking over her shoulder just in case the golden knight decided to attempt an attack of his own.

The skeleton was much too large and too slow to block the swipe so it simply took the blow, letting some ribs be cleaved through, instead aiming to crush his prey as she readied herself for another attack.
The golden knight wasted no time in readying for his portion of the battle casting 'Wall' on him self as soon as Tsunaimei moved to attack the skeleton. After that he sat behind his towering shield watching and studying his new foe.

Tsunaimei let out a hiss as she saw that the undead foe wasn't cleaved in half like she had hoped. She jumped back a step and then dashed forward with an overhead strike. There was a moment of hesitation in her movement as she shifted a quick glance on the golden soldier before making her attack.

Alundra looked around for something to use in aid to pull down the other lever. A rope, a rock. Something that could be used.

The only thing near Alundra that she could use was a stick of wood, though it was still attached at both sides to the walls. Even as she glanced around for something to use the demon made it's way past another set of the blades.
Not expecting a knight so clad in armor to beable to move so quickly the skeleton's downward strike missed as Tsunaimei shot forward. It did move it's arm quick enough to block the strike but was unhappy about the damage he took from it. The sword lodged itself halfway through the skeleton's massive forearm, nearly cleaving the first of the two bones in two. The gold knight still watching and studying cast haste upon himself so he would keep up with the blue knight.

Tsunaimei struggled a bit trying to pull her sword from the bone it was planted in. After the third pull, the Holy Knight was met with some success even though it threw her off balance for a moment. Once she regained her composure, Tsunaimei went on the offensive again. This time aiming a cleave for the skeleton's neck region.

Alundra decided it was better than nothing and began to work on freeing the wood. Perhaps it would be long enough to put on both switches? She only hoped so, otherwise she would have little choice and face the demon that was drawing ever closer.

By the time Alundra freed the wooden staff from the wall, the demon had passed the last of the blades jutting from the wall. Charging down the hall again it set fire to any wood in front of it and simply crashed through it, barely slowing him down at all.
As Tsunaimei leaped to reach the skeleton's neck it swung it massive club horizontally through the air almost certain it would strike his opponent. Meanwhile the gold knight kept back, watching everything as if it were in something of a slow motion. He began casting again, this time most certainly aiming his magic as Tsunaimei.

Tsunaimei was helpless as she saw the club coming her way. The blow connected with her midsection with such an impact that she was sent flying into the wall. The Holy Knight coughed violently for a moment while desperately gasping for air as she sat against the wall trying to recover. Wincing in pain, if she didn't know any better the blue clad Vice Judge thought she might have suffered a cracked rib or two. Tsunaimei was too distracted at the moment to realize that the golden knight was casting a spell at her as well.
