Winter shook her head. "Don't worry- I won't." She pushed the door open and kicked aside a couple spare parts. "Welcome to my paradise." The inside of the shop was quite large, with all the walls painted silver and tools strewn about here and there. A few tools were embedded in the wall. "Meta trouble. For some reason, they seem to like me."
Z dug the knife point into his neck, watching a small droplet of blood trickle down his deck. "I'll have you know that I'm an E-cup, and also that, in your current position, I wouldn't be making stupid comments on my body. Oh, and, thanks Mew."

Winter laughed. "Damn? That's all you have to say on the matter?" She smiled and gestured to a large picture of the scientist. Knives had been thrown at it, a couple still sticking into his face. "That, however, is something I do when I'm bored. Funny thing, you look kind of like him." She paused. "I slept with the damn b*****d. Biggest mistake of my life." She laughed again. "So, kid, what was it you needed help with?"
Z grimaced. "I really don't want to. It's unfair to the janitors, but if I must." She carved a 'Z' on his cheek with the knife, pushing him out the doors and stabbing the back of his legs. "Why don't we just call the police. He won't get far with his legs mangled like that, and it's far less messy."

Winter paled again. "s**t, you're his son? Sorry about that- too much information on my part. And just so you know, I'm way too young to be your mom, so don't be getting ideas." She tossed her hair. "You're still cuter than him. What was it you needed done?"
Z snarled. "I have no love for your kind, but I'm gonna let the police deal with you. And don't go thinking it's 'cause I pity you. More that I can't stand to see your sick face for one more minute, you dirty molester." She flipped open her cellphone and called the police. "******** this s**t, I'm going home. Mew, shall we?"

Winter gaped. "Seriously? No, seriously?" She shook her head. "That b*****d. He acted so sweet when I met him. Got the best of my better judgment." She stopped herself. "Sorry, I really shouldn't be talking about this around you. Where is this chip? I don't think I'll be able to take it out. I'm no surgeon."
Z took her hand and walked out, sitting on a bench. "I need to sit for a while. I don't enjoy that stuff." She looked at Mew. "Where d'you wanna go?"

Winter stepped away. "I honestly don't think I'll be able to. I wish I could." She opened the door and revealed a set of stairs that led to her house. "C'mon. I'll go make you a coffee or something. Go sit on the couch."

Z shrugged. "Judging by your small frame and meek disposition -which I like, by the way-, I get the feeling you aren't about to go all psycho on me. Besides, you're a pretty cool person." She rubbed her head. "Everything goes all red, when a Meta does something like that, you know? I just imagine Tom -that was the journalist. My unofficial boyfriend- being murdered and I can't think straight. I just want to kill whoever would such a thing. Imagine how hard it must of been for him, right? We'd just kissed for the first time, when I was pulled away from him and raped in front of his eyes. He could have saved himself and run, but he wouldn't leave me. That's why he was killed." She shook her head. "Why is life so ********, these days? You finally get happy, and then it all comes falling down."
Winter showed Senku the couch and walked into the kitchen. "You drink coffee, or do you want something else? I've got a pretty decent espresso machine."
