 The Totodile vanished into the ball again. It wiggled around a few times, but was unable to escape this attempt. Ping! It was caught!

By now it was starting to get dark, and the teams were due back at their starting point to report in.

When the ball landed, Aki picked it up out of the mud and trot over to Mau. He smiled at the vaporeon and took the ball. "Thank you." He stuffed the ball in a pocket to be dealt with later. "Aki, how about you come back now too. I think you've gotten more then enough excitement for now." He smiled and called Aki back into the pokeball. He took a potion from his coat and attached it to the pokeball's button* before pocketing it as well. He put the expended potion cartridge away before looking to Cal.
"Seems we've had ... well, decent luck with each of us finding something, but I doubt we're going to find the shiny pokemon Seth sent us out for. We should probably think about heading back. Don't want to be stuck out here all night, right?"
*(How else would you heal a pokemon in the pokeball like in the games?)

I hereby proclaim this RP over and dead, since nobody has been posting in awhile.
If you caught a Pokemon, then please to being posting a name and gender in this thread. Kthx!
