@ Rin - Mages combine magic with weapon-wielding. I was thinking of having weapons add a little to the base attack melee/ranged depending on what it is and then do the spell hit-rate calculations (for Mages) separately...maybe half of Perform Magic and half of Concentration skill. I'll have a better idea of an approach once I get the duelling guide settled. For now, I'm doing second-time profile review and finishing the pet one.
In standing theory (for now), this means yes...if one goes through with the path of becoming a mage, they can easily become one of the strongest offensive classes. They just have more stat fields that they need to master. We'll see about loopholes during the checkover process when doing battle system testing and such.
@ Rachel - Not really. V.V We got lots of roleplay threads to write up information for...I'm still trying to get a basic idea of the Game System down before we can do fine-tuning. Help with the Experience (Leveling) charts will be nice and we also need a chart for the Physical Attack Bonus.

The present listing for those agreeing to teach is already up here in the main forum. It might not be exactly final, until character creations are starting...but I'm definitely staying with Charms since I don't want my professor to be typical Gryffindor head and go for Transfiguration.
Yes, professors get to choose what house they want. And yes, they can do stuff outside of classes. Like actually hold a part-time other wizarding world job.
That will be wonderful Rachel if you can help with real (not in-game rp) event arrangements! >_< Also...I would love if you and Mini can help me with fine-tuning the Game System later. Because I know I was half-asleep typing up most of it (most of it was done during the dead of the night X_X).
@ Drago - I'll put that thread up in the Game System, then.
And yep, eventually I'm transforming that Taken and Open positions thread here in the main forum into a Curriculum arrangement. But first, I gotta get through that Game System.
@ Meta - Because in real life, just because you can do some things, doesn't mean you can do other things. Characters aren't meant to be good at everything. surprised
Though what Drago said...once you get used to it, it's really easy. Second nature.
Half of the people here were from a d20 guild (I should know since I been roleplaying with them more or less for the last three and half years). More or less half of us already have a fair idea of what to do since we did do d20 before. All otherwise...Nefe, Shizuka, Nixii, Demon, Dram, Pein, and you makes exactly half who hadn't played d20 before. As long as you guys are willing to have a little patience, we're not going to have a major problem. In fact, most of us from Wotn learned the system within a week.
Theoretically, once we get loopholes ironed out, all that's needed is careful reading, and following directions. >_>
And also we're all here to help each other out and trying to make this as painless as possible. This also makes it more like an actual character-building game too. For the most part, in the past, for the Naruto guild Wotn, that's what even attracted members in the first place during it's apex.

It would be good if the descriptions gave me more an idea what to put for the rooms. Oh well. Heres the last two...
The entrance is found behind a still life painting somewhere near the kitchens, password required for entry.
The Hufflepuff dormitory is brightly decorated in canary yellow and midnight black, an odd set of yellow hangings and fat armchairs. Little underground tunnels lead to the dormitories, with a set of perfectly round doors resembling barrel tops. Quite fitting for those under the sign of the badger. Be warned, male students are not allowed in the female dormitories. All females are not be found goofing around in the male dormitories at night, no mischief whatsoever. It has a rather roomy feel. Do not be discouraged and make yourselves comfortable.
Not unlike the other rules, forgetful badgers should politely request the password from the head boy or girl, or the Head of House.

The Ravenclaw dormitories reveals calm blue and dull bronze colors, several blue hangings and fat armchairs not unlike the Hufflepuff dorms. No female or male students should be caught in the dorms opposite of their gender.
All new years must answer a riddle. Ravenclaw is after all houses intelligence, wit, learning, and creativity. If you’re unable to solve the riddle, politely request the answer from one of the students, head boy or girl, or the Head of House.

I was looking at the Wiki for Hogwarts and it said there was an Apparition class as well, but I think it's only available to seventh years.
