Weird.
We made sure dad wasn't the one to punish us. He hit harder... and used a belt on my brother before I was born. My mom was the law enforcement though since we didn't want dad pissed.

Always shoot for the Moon... -Nods- Mom threatens she doesn't spank and stuff unless my little brother Is out of control. I'm the one who broke her from physical discipline. I broke down and got in line at being yelled out. I'm still to this day sensitive to being yelled at.

Ah.
I just have issues with recognition. My father doesn't praise much, so I'm always hopeful I'll do something to get his approval. Makes for low self-esteem.

Always shoot for the Moon... That sucks. My step-dad did that for my and my baby brother till he found that my little brother was the perfect child I.E. he had some sort of mental disorder, and then he rejected him. Now he could care less about his son. I'm glad my mom and him finalized their divorce in august/september. I can't stand him my little brother has a clingyness and terror of being left alone now and it really sucks. I think the reason ha acts up so much is to push us as far as he can to make sure that no matter what we won't leave him but it really sucks for me cause it makes it harder to leave home to go to school. Luckily I have a community college real close to where we live now but still...

Sounds like quite the dilemma. And it's a good thing you have a college close to home until you have to go somewhere else. Hopefully by then he'll be over the phase.

Always shoot for the Moon... -Shurgs- I don't think he'll ever get over it. Sadly enough.

As I was told many times by my ex's father, "Hope for the best but prepare for the worst." Never sounded very promising, but still better than nothing.

Always shoot for the Moon... Yes but as it also true
"Whatever can happen will"
Which is meant to say be prepared for anything. I mean I hope it makes him a better person but I think it's only going to send him tumbling down the same path that his father went down which sucks. Cause his dad did to him what his father had done to him.

Has the family thought about seeing if counseling might help? There might be a few ways to help stop the cycle. Not 100% sure.

Happy easter for those who celebrate it-Im really between holidays(Ostara and Beltane), but i still like pretty colored eggs and Fluffy bunnies.....lol
*sees something about parental punishings* My dad would spank us with a belt or paddle hard....we would always want our mom to do it cause she would barely tap us. My G-mom(dad's mom) would take switches to us...Oww-though that was very rare since we didn't see her Every day....lol
Im the younger one and I was always the one blamed for stuff even if it wasn't me-sometimes it was one of the cats.
But even though Im the younger one I would sometimes take punishment for both me and my sis....even as we got older I was (and still am) the protective one. Everyone always thought I looked older....even some school mates that started kindergarden with her thought i was like a long lost older sister or something when I started High school. It was funny
*bit of randomness and rambling*

I am with you storm, between holidays. But I still like to color eggs.
My worst punishment as a kid was a paddle with holes in it by my uncle, and also an extension cord on the back of my thigh by my stepdad

My mother thought I was nuts for putting "Happy Undead Day." Then I got a text from my birthday twin that said, "Happy Zombie Jesus Day."
