Rayna came to a sharp stop in the forest, her hair and her yellow dress snapping around her. That spell was a little more powerful than she had intended. She had to really work on her self control. She was snapped out of her thoughts though as she heard the sound of an arrow whistling towards her. She cast a shield spell and gasped as the arrow went through her shield and nipped her skirt. "Dammit, my shield was too weak!" she snapped frustrated at herself. She cast another shield this time it was blocked by her shield.

His eyes widened as he saw an arrow zip by him and target towards Rayna. It hadn't even been a minute and they were already being attacked!
He kicked at the ground, and stood beside Rayna. "..I see you're fancying the yellow color.." He commented, slowly letting hsi eyes travel to the trees and bushes. Three arrows shot out simutaneously from a brush, and using his Aura he blocked and snapped them. More arrows fired, and struck at his back but broke when they came in contact with his shield. "Damn it!" He growled, turning around to see where they were coming from. "..This is stupid. Might as well just burn the entire forest.." He wanted to, just to deal with this but it wasn't his call to make.

Rayna's eyes widened. "There is no way we are burning the forest Dark," she snapped, as a new volly of arrows zipped towards them. "Lady Rayna....is that you my lady...?" she spun around towards the source of the voice she heard, more out of habit, then being able to see anything. She recognized that melody voice any where. "Ocurus...? Is that you...?" she asked. She felt some one grab her hand and kiss it. She flushed at his touch. She didn't have to see him, his image was burned into her mind for centuries. He was a tall slim man with long green hair, in all her life she had never seen anyone nearly as handsome or beautiful as him. "Ocurus why do you attack my people? I thought we had an agreement, We would protect the forest in exchange for not harming my people. I know you are the protector of the forest, but we have done no harm to your brethren." she reminded him.

(My apologies. I had to work.)
"Ocurus? You know him Ray?" He asked the elf, turning back to the man. So was he the one that kept shooting arrows at him? But why? He backtracked, trying to think of a reason. ".... ..!"
When he was exploring earlier on he had snapped one of the arms of the tree, and on his way down he broke more bu tonly to break his fall. No. That couldn't be the reason. Dark stepped forward.
"Hey, jackass - why the hell were you shooting at me before?"

Rayna looked in Dark direction and laughed at his amazing diplomatic skills. He just insulted one of the most powerful beings on earth. "Dark means you no disrespect, his just short tempered old one, But even I have to admit though, it's odd for you to attack one of my people. Has he instigated you?" she asked him. She heard Ocurus growl at Dark. "That impudent imbecile has attack my forest! He broke off the arm of an older elm tree. His is evil my lady, do you not sense the Dark energy flowing around him? Why do you keep someone who is obviously evil in your presence? You are not worthy to be in the lady's presence you- " "OCURUS! THAT IS ENOUGH! DARK HAS SAVED MY LIFE AND THE LIVES OF MY PEOPLE ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU DON'T APPROVE OCURUS, BUT DO NOT SPEAK OF HIM LIKE THAT IN MY PRESENCE AGAIN." Rayna snapped back in a commanding voice, her hand on her hip, and a stern look on her face.

Evil? Because of his name and choice of personality that was what he was always called. Not to mention that his powers were in fact on a opposite side of Rayna's and Ocurus. But what could he Dark expect? If that was what he was titled then so be it. But his choice of side was Neutrality..though he would admit on occassions he could be put in as a good guy.
"So that was why you were mad.." Dark stated after Rayna scolded the guardian. He took a couple of steps forward the Forest Guardian. "I felt watched, and I couldn't detect your presence anywhere. So I made a mistake, and broke the arm's tree. Maybe you shouldn't be so hostile with everyone."

Ocurus gave Dark a menacing look. "The tree cried out for me, because it was attacked. You may have lady Rayna fooled but let it be known here and now you have not fooled me. I will be sure to keep a close watch on you, you dragon half blood-" "ENOUGH!" Rayna's angry scream filled the forest, a flock of crows nearby were startled out of their nest and flew off in different directions. Her face was red with anger, she did not know she could be that loud. She had never really been this upset before. She didn't even know why she was so upset, what he said angered her deeply. She took in a deep breath to calm herself. When she felt her heart beat slow down to a normal pace, she looked in his direction. Ocurus looked like he was about to retort, but he bite his lip and narrowed his eyes at dark. "I'm sorry my lady, that was out of line. I let my temper get the best of me. You know how deeply i have grown to care for you over the centuries and how protective I am of you. The outcome was bitter, but my intentions we not." he said, as he got down one knee and bowed his head. "I am not the one you should apologize to Ocurus." she said, her expression stern. A bitter look came over him as he turned to Dark. "I apologize for attacking you, and insulting you." it sounded stiff and fake, but Rayna, knew it was the best they were going to get from him.

Rayna's scream had startled him, too. He was so focused on Ocurus that the sudden interference caused his body to jump in reaction. His heart was beating from the fright..and that bothered him. Normally he wouldn't be afraid of much; he was just taken off-guard.
When the guardian had apologized to him, Dark nodded no matter the fact that it wasn't truly meant. So he had been insulted but little things like that meant absolutely nothing to him. Dark was called many, and even though he was half-blooded he didn't care. "Don't let it bother you. We all hold opinions on others, and I'll respect yours." He turned towards Rayna then. "I'm going to train. Do you need a guide to the castle, Ray?" He already felt that she didn't need the help but it wouldn't hurt in asking.

Ocurus turned stiffly from Dark to Rayna, ignoring Dark's words completely. "I'm sorry I ruined your morning my lady." he said to her. She smiled a fake smile at him, she didn't know why but she was still upset about his remark. It may not have upset Dark, but it upset her. Ocurus didn't even know dark, so what right did he have to insult him that way. She knew he was being protective of her, but that did not ease her anger. "It's quite alright, consider it water under the bridge. Well it's already noon and i must return to my training. Good Day, Ocurus, please be mindful of my people in the future." she said, as she bowed her head. He got under her skin like nothing, but he was a Tree Nymph, a guardian of the forest, and could easily kill them both with ease. "Yes, my lady. And I do hope they find a way to heal your eyes, my lady." he said as he dissapeared into a nearby tree. She did not remember telling him anything about her eyes, but he watched over Eflymn and the forest, so of course he must've heard them discussing it. "Thanks Dark, I'm headed to the training grounds myself. " She said as she reached out and grabbed dark's arm and let him guide her out of the forest.

Laid out along a sturdy branch high up in the tree tops Was Kogen along with his only friend Luther. He was taking nap with Luther curled up on his chest purring softly. The air was sweet with spring as the wind carried it across the foliage granting all in it's path a chances to bask in it's comfort. A lite rustling in some bushes along the forest floor stirred Luther's ears perking them up as he open his big eyes and meowed.

Courage and Silver both came to the edge of a forest, they looked into it as far as they could from outside of it,"Well I think we're gonna have to go in if we want to get anywhere." Courage said to the little dragon.
