CLOVERKIT [Cloverkit padded up to the boarder. She looked around for Bramblekit, her 'mate'.]"Bramblekit? Where are you?"[She called out.] BRAMBLEKIT "I'm here! I'm here!"[He squeaked. Bramblekit walked u to Cloverkit and licked her ear.]"I missed you!" [Cloverkit giggled a little.]"I'm good. But, my mother said I'm not aloud out of camp anymore, until I'm an apprentice. And she has a warrior watching me, too!"[She rested her head on Bramblekits shoulder.]"So I sneaked out when they were asleep." "They can't do that! No way are they gonna do that to my Cloverkit!"[He said furiously. He walked up to a damp fern and rolled around in it.]"Roll in it to disguise your scent! Then when they come looking for you, they won't find you!"[Bramblekit then too a few leaves off the fern and rubbed it against the earth Cloverkit walked on.]

[a bright, fiery orange she cat cautiously wandered into the boarders and up to the river edge. she looked around, as if checking to be sure that she wasnt followed. when she had resured herself that she was alone she turned her attention to the clear water. she looked in to see salmon swim against the current with ease and skill. she snarled and her ears lay flat against her head. he backed away abit and curled up, glaring at the water with hate.] "you are mine. i will NOT let a stupid river conquer me." [slowly she crept up to the edge again and splashed her paw into the cool water and quickly recoiled back.] this is going to be harder then i though... [she then puffed out her chest boldly and lunged at the water in a full fledged attack! she plummeted deep under the surface and she could feel the same screaming pain from her lungs she did before. helplessly she flailed about trying to fight the current. she was tossed about until her claws locked onto a rock resting on the bottom. she dragged herself against the current. her lungs couldnt take it anymore and she thrusted herself up and took a loud gasp for air as she broke the surface.]

[Ravenwing stopped short as he heard splashing and thrashing sounds in the distance. At first he thought it was the sound of salmon leaping out of the water, but somehow it sounded a bit too ungainly and too big to be fish.]
"Stay here, I'm just going to check something out reeeeeally quickly."
[He muttered as he turned around into a headlong dash towards the river. He saw a fiery orange she-cat flailing around madly in the water, her head only barely breaking the surface. Without stopping to think, he leapt gracefully into the water, diving in with only a small splash. He swam underneath the she-cat as fast as a fish, lifting her up onto his back as though she weighed no more than a feather. He easily paddled to the river's edge even though the current was strong, and carried the she-cat up onto the shore, laying her delicately onto the grass.]
"Would the humble tom who saved this charming damsel from drowning deserve a word of thanks?"

[Dragonfire fought desperately against the current for the right to breath.] why dose this have to be so difficult! if this was the same as fighting it would be so much easier but... hay! am i swimming! i think i a- wait... [she could feel the air fill her lungs as she was once again carried on to safe land. she coughed and shook her pelt dry] "....darn! i was so close! grrrrrrr." [ she turned to face the midnight black tom who stood smiling at her with his hair spiked up in a goofy position.] ".... i didnt need your help i... i was just, diving! yes, diving, deep under the river..." [she muttered as she looked away, embarrassed by how good of a swimmer he was, just like Trouttail. she felt angry at herself. she had never needed the help of anyone yet she had to be healed from her fight with the wolf and rescued because she couldn't swim. it infuriated her. she continued to glare at the water.] "stupid river... dont think this means you won!" [she hissed at the water with er Aussie accent.]

[He said with no hint of sarcasm as he continued licking his coat, getting it to lie smooth again. After a few moments without saying anything, he finally turned back to the fiery orange she-cat, blinking in an amused manner at her fiery attitude.]
Ah, a pretty one indeed, though quite fierce as well...
"If you're really trying to swim...try this first."
[He turned around to the water's edge and gazed at the water intently, without moving a muscle. With one quick flick of his claws, a large trout seemingly flew out of the water and landed right in front of the she-cat's nose.]
"If you've never had fish, you can't swim. Simple as that. I don't like to boast, but I AM one of the best swimmers in the clan...the fish gives us a protective layer of oil that makes our fur waterproof. Without that, you're as good as dead in the water...will you take the word of the wise tom who just saved you from a sure death?"
[He asked as he pinned down the still twitching trout with one paw, looking at the she-cat with a boyish grin on his face.]
(Ugh. I give up. [Dragonfire narrowed her eyes suspiciously at the tom. a ting of jealousy at how easily he caught the fish, hardly getting his paws wet. She wanted to learn how to swim, to catch a fish for herself without having to die, to be able to hunt with the other cats and not have to worry about hurting her pride, but she would NOT ask for another cat's help! she huffed arrogantly and turned away, yet she still watched him out of the corner of her eye, observing what he would do next.] "oh really? If you are truly as wise and great of a swimmer as you say you are then prove it. Show me what makes you so great." [She said whipping her tail back and forth, making a whet smacking sound when it would hit the ground. she started to groom her soaking fur back to it's original sheen.]

[She was a fierce one indeed, and not to mention hard to please. Ravenwing turned an ear towards her as he trotted towards the she-cat, purposely showing off his glossy and perfectly groomed black pelt.]
"Of course, anything for you darling. Won't be a couple of heartbeats."
[Without waiting for the she-cat's response, Ravenwing dashed back and dived into the river. He headed down like a torpedo, his eyes already found his target - an enormous pike, one of the hardest fish to catch, which would become his prey to impress this fierce and aloof she-cat.]
[He unsheathed his claws and dug them into the side of the pike, snarling fiercely. Blood flowed out of the pike's side, and the enormous fish spun around, snapping at him. Ravenwing grappled and thrashed with the enormous pike underwater for what seemed like forever, until he could lock his jaws around the back of the pike's head. The pike was so big that its head nearly couldn't fit into his jaws. Life-blood flowed out of the pike's open wounds, and Ravenwing paddled madly to get his prize to the shore, his lungs nearly running out of air.]
[He dropped the enormous fish at the she-cat's paws, its dead eyes staring up at her. It was nearly twice as large as himself, and definitely much heavier. Large serrated teeth decorated the inside of its jaws, looking as though it could easily snap a cat's leg in half. Even a twoleg would have trouble lifting it, and Ravenwing refused to admit that he had struggled dragging it from underwater.]
"So? Was it enough to impress you, my pretty?"
[He asked playfully, nudging the fish towards her. [Dragonfire turned and smiled triumphantly, that is until Ravinwing lunged into the water. tackling a giant monster of a fish! somewhat larger then the salmon she had caught earlier but much more fierce looking! She gasped as he fought the fish, staying under the water for what seemed to her like an eternity. She raised to the edge of the river and peered into the now reddish currents. She whipped her tail with worry and anticipation. She gasped at him when he finally emerged from the waters hulling a heavy prize. She stared down at the monster. never before had see seen a fish other then the first salmon she had caught and almost drowned for. She looked up at him, trying her best to hide her admiration. For her this was the last straw, she had to learn and she had to learn NOW!] ".... how did, you learn to fish like that?" [she muttered under her breath, almost half hoping he didnt hear her question.]

"Fish makes our fur waterproof, which is why all Seaclan cats can swim. Takes some time to learn though. I won't boast but it's hard to find another hunter like me in the clan...oh sorry, how rude of me, I never asked your name. [Dragonfire looked down at the offering. She glared at the fish. Ever since she had tasted salmon fish had become her new absolute favorite, but she was hesitant to accept anything she did not earn. She turned away.] " Thank you, but i cant accept this. you caught it." so thats how they glide so smoothly thorough the water, they have coated pelts? [ She turned to face the tom when he had asked her her name. she looked at him and smiled proudly.] "I am Dragonfire, the gladiator. I have now been accepted into your clan by our leader but have yet to earn the position. I plan to be a proud seaclan warrior and bring my new clan strength one day. and who might you be?" [she asked, a sly smile on her face.]

[He meowed as he shifted closer to her, but not close enough for their pelts to touch. He began to pace around her in a tight circle, letting the tip of his jet-black tail brush against the bottom of her chin as he passed by.]
