"Fine!" Syuzanna put away his firearms, frowning. "But it was his fault..." He walked quickly towards the church doors keeping one hand on the ruger and the other under the jacket as though he was holding something.

Zed overheared Koko.
"The turrets used to be able to do that, but I think they got clogged with sand or something. They'll be fine for now."
He continued typing for a moment.
"Okay, thats the city's alert called off... Now, are we ready? ... oh wait, I nearly forgot..."
Zed got up and searched behind his seat, finding a helmet and handing it to koko before putting his own on.
"It's linked to the ship, makes it easier to use the turrets... You'll probably need to use the turrets... We'll go to the desert first, so you can practice shooting... if they work that is."

"Huh? Oh well uhm....Thank you very much for rescuing us, Sir." He smiled and waved a hand towards John and Neo as they left. Thane sighed as they got outside the Church. "Hey, uhm....i was gonna head towards the sleeper ship to.....find someone who might still be cryostatis.....will you be okay by yourself for a bit?" He looked over at the teen.

Koko slipped the helmet on, then leaned forward over the controls. A single visor was spread across one of her eyes, presumably for a HUD when controlling the turrets.
"If the turrets don't work, I can fix em."
Pressing a section of the control panel, Koko activated the turret on the edge of the right wing. She let it swivel a bit, getting used to the controls, before switching to that on the left wing. Testing out the others in turn she then turned them all off & turned to face Zed.
"The left wing turret has a catch when swivelling to the right or up, so I'll have to fix that. 4 others don't swivel at all, they seem to have a jam & the one on the top works just fine."
In case the man gave her an odd look she smirked,
"I learn fast."

John snorted as Syuzanna left. "Sorry if I'm not a one-man army." John shook hands with Thane and turned to Neo. "I don't why they choose such hard life, but I'm not a mind reader. I think this planet drove them mad and they went off in search of others like themselves. However, without food, water and other suppiles, they started to raid the cities. Hence why we call them raiders. Well, that's my opinion. Shall we try to find your home then?" John asked.

Neo nodded, "That makes sense... Yes, if that isn't too much trouble." He stood up and started walking the way he had heard Thane and Syuzanna' footsteps go but instead of walking to the doors, he was walking towards the wall next to them.

John stood up and caught Neo by the arm. "Umm, let me guide you. you were gonna walk into a wall." John slung the M-200 over his shoulder again and placed Neo's hand on his shoulder. "Keep in step and tell me if we're going the wrong way, ok?"

"Y'know, I suggested that they put the turrets on this thing... they were meant to be just for shooting space rocks, but they work fine as weapons too..."
Zed re-activated the planetary hoverdrive engines and turned the ship, the powerful engines kicking up a small dust cloud.
People crowded the streets, the Aiolos hadn't been seen for years after it first crashlanded, and it was still believed by many to have been sent from Earth.

Koko reactivated the right wing turret, aiming it down at the people in the street. A small grin spread across her features as she looked down at them; they had no idea how easy it would be to shoot them, nor did they strive to do anything outside of their city. The whole place was in the shithole, but no-one did much to try & help themselves. She sighed a little before turning the turret back around, she wasn't particularly sure what she'd be firing at....

A small blush crept across Neo's cheeks and he laughed, nevously, he hadn't realised that he was going to walk into a wall, "Ummm, t-thank you." Since he was pretty short, Neo could only just reach John's shoulder when the man put his hand on it, "Ok. Umm, since we're at the church the first turn is..." He thought for a moment, "A left."

Neo nodded his head and started to walk forward with John, "By the way, sir, what's your name? I'm Neo." He felt his toes tap a loose stone in the floor and picked his foot up higher to avoid tripping over it.

Zed clapped his hands together before gripping onto the control stick and switching the ship to manual flight.
"Hold onto something."
He grinned as the ship launched from being motionless to 300 mph in the blink of an eye, blowing several houses down with the sheer force of the thrusters. Within a few seconds the Aiolos had left the city and was headed into the desert.
"You still alive back there? ...Did you notice that you didn't turn inside out due to the g-force? Thats because this ship is fitted with a special G-core. It reduces the effect of it... also provides artificial gravity..."

Koko sat still & silent for a while before bursting out laughing.
"Oh my god! That was awesome!"
She grinned & span round on the chair once before coughing slightly & returning to the control panel. She glanced over at Zed for a second, feeling a little foolish for getting so excited.
"I mean... ummm.... when can I practice firing these things?"

The Aiolos had managed to catch up to the the raiders that'd looted the city. Zed noticed them and slowed the ship down.
"Here we are, some raiders... looks like those bastards have done their fair bit of killing, raping and stealing for today... Why not give them what they deserve? ... watch the temperature guage, if it overheats you'll have to wait for it to cool down before you can fire again."
