Lets see, either a really screwed up dad and sister or knowing your mom was killed and you might've been able to save her? I think I'd go with Kataras. Im into the masochistic stuff.

Honestly, Aang had a really sad past and being trapped in the iceberg just makes it all horrible. I would have to say Zukos although he lost his mother, but Aang lost everyone.
as a secondary source for an element, would you rather bend Metal or Lightning?

Would you rather be stuck in a room with Iroh being force-fed Jasmin tea for 24 hours straight OR have Zuko teach you firebending (wink wink)? (honestly I'd pick Zuko even though Iroh is a sweet old man)

I would so pick Iroh! He can feed me Jasmine tea :3 and it wouldnt be forced. Plus, he can teach my firebending biggrin So I cant impress Zuko the next day! I WIN!~

I would pick Ozai cuz I wouldn't want my teacher to go easy on me. I'd want them to be a ruthless all-powerful Bender-man!
