Diablo continued to stare down at the counter for a few minutes not answering Joseph. He was looking for the words, and how to present them properly to him. He then turned around to look at his pupil, well Joseph was no longer his pupil as he had left to go train with the Shinigami. He leaned back up against the counterstarting intently at the youth. His eyes searching for an answer to the question he held. He blinked and muttered, "Well here goes nothing..."

He shifted his weight and said, "Joseph, do you remember when I told you I did not the reason why Rikku followed us so intently after our first interaction with her?" He glanced to the right, back to the general area Rikku was at. He then looked back at Joseph and continued on, "I think we need her here, as this has to do with her aswell. So would you mind fetching her while I formulate a way to give you two the information that I've finally chosen to share with the two of you?"

He glanced at the dragon, he wasn't too fond of things around his neck unless he put them there. He gently lifted the creature from around his neck and sat it down upon a bundle of cloth, which sat upon the counter top. He glanced to his left, a small shot of annoyance ran through him due to the invasion of privacy. It wasn't anything to do with Aurora being there, it was just that he had to do this on his own. He kept silient about it as he went back to musing to himself.

He closed his eyes, and thought back to all the battles. His father's charm upon both blades held true even after all these years. Neither son would be able to use their weapons to draw blood upon the other. It was this reason their battles have spanned so long. He ran his fingertips over a scar that was hidden from the rest of the world under his hair upon the back of his neck. It was a constant reminder that his brother had scarred his life, and a constant reminder to him of his oath to avenge his sister's murder.

He then looked down and sighed, his mind had landed upon the memory of his sister. He had no token of her save for the scar, she was the one who saved him and he could not save her. He was a failure then, and she had been the one to stand by him for so long. His eyes narrowed at the floor as he felt a fire light up inside him that had been extinguished long ago, Curio will fall and he'd be the one to deliver the final blow.

His eyes landing upon the door as he heard foot steps approaching, this is the time that they extinguished the evil of Barron Von D. and brought peace back to this world, for how ever long it would last.

(>.>; Through out the last two paragraphs I could just hear a badassed guitar rift playing, and the scene ending...)

[Hmm..Time flies when you have to post. xD Sorry about the wait and the short post.]

Sachi's eyes stayed on Diablo until he was out of sight, then her focus switched to Issac. Eyebrow arched, a smile graced her features as he squirmed under the attention of his master. In many ways, the teenage girl looked up to Raine, and this was one of the many abilities of Raine's that she wished she could possess. Sachi scowled when Issac brought up talking in private; now that he'd mentioned paying debts and whatnot to her, there was no way she was leaving or letting him leave without figuring out what was going on.

Sachi felt a slight pressure on her back, and then the bright sunlight hit her face as she squinted. As her olive orbs became adjusted to her brighter surroundings, she found herself outside the bar, beside her older brother. A satisfactory grin appeared as Sachi tilted her head, glancing at Issac. "Spill it, brother. I think I deserve to know what's going on, especially if it involves you. I haven't seen you in the longest time and whatever happens to you will have just as big of an impact on me as well. You know that," she argued, her olive eyes staring straight into his.

Her arms crossed over her chest patiently, expectantly. "Well?"

Joseph stared at his former master, more puzzled than he had ever been. Diablo had this way of puzzling the boy, but never quite this badly. Joseph gave a slight nod to his friend and moved away from the counter. Passing the elf and walking through the kitchen door, he stopped momentarily as the door eased shut. He could have swore Aurora had just passed by. He quickly dismissed the thought and continued down his path.

As he took the slightly curvy hallway and made his way back to the familiar sight's of the bar, he pondered about what Diablo could possibly say to him. Was Rikku an allied fighter now? That would certainly explain why she was still here. And why she so dilegantly crossed his name out of the bar sign and replaced it with her's. It didn't even hit him that she never crossed out the Katsuya family name from the board. Just 'Joseph' crossed out and 'Rikku' was written down.

As he came to the bar, he noticed it was a lot emptier than he remembered. The female elf and the young twins had been missing. He noticed Rikku and that girl were conversing nicely at the the bar. "You two look quite cozy."

Rikku turned around to see her brother standing in the doorway. Cassandra watched curiously. Joseph noticed her watching and said "I never caught your name, new girl." She seemed somewhat surprised by this gesture. She broke the eye contact they had established. Looking down nerviously, her cheeks started turning a little red. "C-Cassandra..." she told him with a nervous gulp.

Joseph was somewhat puzzled by her gesture. Perhaps more so than with Diablo. His features never changed. Watching her closely, he eventually told her, "The name's Joseph. Nice to meet you." as he bowed his head slightly towards her. He then quickly turned his attention to the pink haired lass. "Rikku."

Rikku straightened her back upon hearing her name. It was as though she was she was taking instructions from a stern drill sargent. She even responded with the usual "Sir!"

"Diablo has requested your presence in the kitchen. Would you like to join us?"

Rikku seemed somewhat taken by what she was just told. Completely lost for words, her only responce was, "R..really?" Short but satisfactory. Joseph gave her a gentle nod of approval. Smiling from ear to ear, she turned back to her new companion, giving her a slight apologiy for having to go, then followed her brother into the back.

Cassandra was all that was left in the bar (aside from the unconsious body of Raeka and Aurora). She just stared blankly in the absent space where Joseph once stood.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tension was forming on the outside of the bar. It scared Issac enough to see Raine mad, but Sachi was another story. When they were younger, they'd play games like wrestling. Whenever the girl got mad, the fight was over. Sachi was real scary when angry. Atleast to him, she was.

A cold sweat began to form on his forehead. Before he could reply, the bar door had opened from behind them. All eyes left the nervous boy and turned instead onto a seemingly nervous girl. Cassandra stopped and looked at the 3 sets of eyes that now stared her down. Her gaze went from side to side. It wasn't long before she said, "Uh... excuse me."

"Eh, Cassandra. Where are you going?"

"I need to take a walk"

"But it's getting late. It may be dangerous out there."

Ignoring the warning, she kept walking. Issac tried to follow after her, but his stern master had something else to say about it. Reaching over and grabbing the collar of his shirt, she reeled him back in. Before long, she was out of sight.

"Why won't you let me go after her?" he finally asked, after putting up a bit of a fight.

"She's a big girl, I'm sure she can take care of herself. Besides. This forest has been purified. Nothing out there can harm her anyways."

"How do you know...?" he questioned.

"I can feel it. A strong energy surrounding this area. A ward of somesort. It expells anything with an evil heart. And it appears to only form after sunset. Which would explain why Curio and his gang were able to make it here."

Issac eyed his master for a moment. Knowing she was right, he couldn't help but feel like something big was going to happen. "Ahem, Raine interupted his train of thought. "I believe someone owes us an explaination. Who is that girl? Why is she traveling with you? And what are these 'debt's' you were talking about?

Issac lowered his head. Thinking momentarily, he decided it'd be best to share, so he gave a small nod to show he understood. He took a deep breath and began to explain.

"As we're all aware, the 4 of us, Raeka, Sach, you and I all parted ways for training purposes about 2 months ago. Sometime a couple weeks after that, you and I found ourselves in that festival in Barnson City. Remeber, we split up to see if we could locate Diablo. You told me it'd be best for us to do so. We also agree'd to rendevous at the town fountain at midnight regardless if we found anything, right?"

"And I recall someone not making the rendevous."

"I ran into a sort of problem along the way."

"What sort of problem?"

"I headed down to the west end of town, asking everyone in sight if they had seen anyone fitting his describsion. All fingers pointed in the same direction. They told me to seek out a group of underground hunters. 'A nameless clan of cut throat killers' I was told. So I seeked them out. Turned out they were no older than that blue jacketed guy in there.

Anyways, I found said group of hunters. They told me they heard of such a an elf as a bounty was placed on the head of an elf for 2 million gold, traveling with a youth of equal danger, who's bounty was also 2 mil. The leader told me he'd help me find them if I helped with a little task. I tried to bargin with him,but next thing I knew I was on my way to fulfil his task...
"

"Which was?"

He stopped. His gaze first met the ground inbetween the three of them. Turning his head, his eyes were now focused in the direction Cassandra had walked. "Her...

Their task was the elimination of the last ninja clan in the land. And she was the sole survivor of her kind. When I found her, the confrontation wasn't so grand. I ended up learning a lot about my benofactors who were presumed to 'help' me. After hearing her story, I couldn't go through with the task. So I let her go.

I was on my way to the rendevous point, when the hunters clan had found me. The leader wasn't too happy about my decision. They subdued me and took my back to their hideout. I was told my 'sin' was unforgivable and that it was payable upon my death. Then...
"

"Then?"

"She saved me... I don't really know how she got in or... even how she found me, but she saved my life. I promised her I'd help get the revenge she deserved. That is my debt I have sworn to pay..."

((I apologize if it seems really bad.))

*Aurora gave a sharp mind whistle.*

~Hearing his Mistress, Neal took to the air to follow the girl that his Mistress healed.~

*Aurora turned back to her love and gently placed her arm around his lower back, she gently rested her head on his shoulder. She loved Diablo, and never wanted to leave him. But in the bar, one of her charms fell and broke, making her body go cold and loose color. Quietly she spoke into Diablo's mind.*

It is alright, My love, do not worry....

Diablo let out a sigh as he wondered if he was doing the right thing sharing this information with Rikku and Joseph or not. He knew that Joseph would eventually put two and two together to get the answers to the unasked questions, but he needed to know eventually.

He looked down at the ground as his mind continued to wonder what the future held, and where he'd go from here. He knew that his ultimate goal was, but the problem was which path to take, in the past he'd take the most direct, but now he had more responsibilities to handle. He really was not sure where to go from here.

He heard something break in the main room and looked perplexed, he was unsure as to what broke as it could have been anything really since there was activity in the main bar room. He blinked confused for a second at Aurora's voice and then caught on slightly and noded a bit forgetting for a moment he was in a different room.

His hand came up and ran his finger tips through his hair, the hair gave way and sprang back slightly messed up. He then muttered to himself, "Dear me, I think I'm finally understanding what it's like to have to be a leader. And this time I can't run as I'm pretty much the only one who knows the dangers we face in the time to come. And look here I am waiting in a dark room talking to myself, well it can't be helped after all it's a symbol of mental stability, or instability I never too the time to learn that properly not that it's important..." He shook his head a bit bemused. Little did he know that he wasn't as alone as he thought, that does happen when one is lost in thought.

(Sorry about the long wait and the subpar post... Alot of things have been going on and I've been quite distracted... Please hold off any crucifixitions please.)

Sachi looked pointedly at Issac's back as he trailed after Cassandra momentarily. She gave an exasperating glance to Raine. "He's joking, right?" Tapping her foot, her impatience grew, as did her suspicion. What could it be that he refused to tell her? Though, it shouldn't be too horrid if Raine was forcing him to reveal everything to her. Reassured, her eyes narrowed on her brother.

Over the years, the teenage girl had learned to keep her mouth shut while other people were explaining things beyond her knowledge. More often than not, talking had landed her in awkward and, even more so, embarassing situations.

As Issac arrived at the subject of his death, Sachi pursed her lips. She should've known. Over the years, Issac had always been the one of the pair to get into sticky situations, if not perilous. Suppressing a sigh, she shook her head.

"Issac, you're going to end up dead sooner or later, I swear!" the auburn-haired female exclaimed, hitting him roughly on his arm. Exasperated, she glanced towards the forest. "I guess I'll have to thank her when she comes back for saving my stupid brother's life." Sachi rolled her eyes, glancing at Issac. Though she was playful on the outside, on the inside, she was deeply grateful. What she would've done without knowing Issac was safe...she couldn't even fathom.

"So, what now?"

"So, what now?" Joseph questioned to his elven elder.

He walked casually into the room, with the slightly shorter, slightly younger (and slightly cuter) Katsuya child. He returned to his spot on the counter, unbeknowest to his younger sister's existance.

Rikku stared at Joseph's back as he walked away from her, then turned her attention to Diablo when the lad reclaimed his spot. The girl leaned againt the kitchen door. This would be her spot in the room for the time being.

Joseph calmly glanced as his ex-master, waiting intently for the new's he was about to reveal.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sorry, sis." Issac laughed nerviously, flinching slightly from his sister's playful contact.

Raine giggled a little from the gesture. This took the two siblings by surprise. Raine and Raeka were always so serious about everything. It was rare to see either of them smile, let alone laugh. It was comforting to the twin's.

Seeing a smile on her face was emotionally lifting. Almost soothing. Perhaps that was the elven gift.

"You two should do some catching up. We've been apart for nearly 3 months. You two were inseperable when we first found you." The two indigo orbs looked into that of Issacs, then over to Sachi. Eye contact with their elder was warming. "Shall I let you in on a little secret? Remember that training course we were telling you about? There is no training course. Raeka and I decided to test you two. It was a special type of training.

I seem to catch myself thinking back to the day you two were found. You were so young, so innocent. It must have been so painful for you two. But you both stood up for eachother, every step of the way. You two formed an intense bond with eachother that night. It almost pains me to have asked you to join us...

Anyways. Raeka and I decided to test that bond. Although we split up, we were still traveling the same path, just seperated from eachother. The two of us wanted to see how well you two would survive divided from eachother. You two won't always be together like this. During a mission, anything could happen to either of you at any given time. We just wanted to make sure you could handle being apart... should anything happen...

Aswell, I'm sure you both know, Raeka and I are telepathic. But beyond that, we share a kenetic bond with eachother. It's said that every twin this kenetic bond with their sibling. We wanted to test and possibly strengthen this bond.

Raeka and I would meet every night, to share information. (Did you two ever wonder why we'd ask you to do chores by your lonesome?) You both showed this bond.

Congradulations, you two. You passed our 'training course'.
"

Those were her final words. Slowly approaching the two of them, she grabbed them with each arm and pulled them close. A hug. This is a side of the elf the two had never seen before. This was the true emotion she felt that she had always surpressed.

She said no more than that. Raine just noded softly, then returned to the bar.

Issac was completely speechless. He just blinked as the elf made her way back into the bar.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raine closed the door gently behind her. She closed her eye's momentarily, then began to speak aloud to herself.

"Issac... Sachi... You two have a great relationship... cherish it always..."

As a stream of tears began to pour slowly down her cheeks, her gaze met it's destination on the felled elf on the table in the corner.

Raeka... please don't die...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crunch. Crunch. Crack.

Dead leaves and falled twigs were the only sound's heard throughout the entire forrest. It was silent. Dead silent. Almost chilling. Cassandra hardly noticed. Her thoughts had a way of carrying her away with them. Reality was just a subpar to her at this point.

That Rikku girl was very nice. I like her. She's only a few year's younger than me. She thought silently to herself. Her thought's were always extremely deep. It was amazing her stroll wasn't compromised by it. I hope I didn't worry Issac.. I can tell he cares for me. He wouldn't be so concerned if he didn't. I'm sorry Issac, I just needed to get out. That young man earlier...

Her mind always had a way of wandering.

I wonder what he wanted with Rikku. I wonder who he is. I wonder how old he is...

[This one seem's slightly bad to me. I hope I'm wrong.]

Aurora listened quietly to the chat going on as she wrapped her arms around Diablo, he would feel her even though she wasn't there in body. In the other room another charm fell and broke, Aurora's body went a little whiter as it appeared her body stopped breathing. Even through her body stopped breathing, she knew she still had time, the charms were only ment to keep everyone from freaking out.

~Neal finally cought up to the girl his Mistress had healed. He wrapped himself around her neck like a necklace. He chirpped a sharp whisle and a magic sheld went up around her, nothing could hurt her as long as he was there around her neck.~

He stood there looking at the two. He marveled at how similar they looked, and yet they were so different. He knew that letting them get seperated was one of his biggest failures as their original gaurdian. He glanced at Rikku, out of the two of them she was aware of her relation to her brother, so now that he had the two of them together it was time to tell Joseph.

He moved his hand to run his fingers through his hair, messing the spikes up a bit as he then said, "Joseph, there's something you should know. I know you probably have noticed the tell-tale signs, but not connected them, so it's time you should know...."

His eyes traveled to Rikku for a moment as he continued, "Rikku is..." He paused momentarily, trying to get the last word to come out, but it seemed to be stuck. He finally got it out and finished his sentence, "... Your sister."

His eyes moved back to Joseph to read his response to such news. He was unsure how Joseph would react, expecially with his "Dark Side" lurking within.

(I was wondering, should I introduce Trigger as a main part of the "cast" or keep him as the Recruitment comedy relief character?)

Sachi rolled her eyes as she reached out to playfully hit him again. Something stopped her though, and her jaw dropped. A giggle had escaped Raine, which was rare event indeed. Slowly, a grin spread across Sachi's face. To see her smile was a rare sight as well, and the teen's surprise - and happiness - was poory covered.

While Raine spoke, she smiled all the while. Though, her brow furrowed when she spoke of training course. Or rather, the lack of the training course. "Test us?" she repeated, glancing up to look at her older brother. A small part of her was angered that they had been unnecessarily seperated, though a thought dawned on her. If they hadn't been found by Raine and Raeka, the twins probably wouldn't be where they were today. With a satisfied expression, Sachi remained silent throughout the rest of Raine's explanation.

Before she knew it, she was wrapped into a hug by the elf. Sachi stifled a gasp as she returned the gesture, wrapped her arms around Raine's waist tightly. As she let go, a slender hand reached up to wipe away the tears that pooled. "Thanks, Raine," she murmured.

Turning her attention to Issac, Sachi gave him a wobbly smile. "It's been a while, hasn't it, brother?" He certainly looked well, though perhaps a bit shocked after what had just happened. "What have you been up to besides trouble?" she teased, stepping forward to envelop him in a hug.

And so, the plot thickened.

The truth was finally out. No one made a noise. The room was being haunted by an almost errie silence. Rikku found the silence to be chilling to the bone. Her heart skipped a beat. The tension was so thick, she wanted to draw her weapon on it. Gulping heavily, all she could do now was wait. Wait for his natural responce.

Having never truely met Joseph, Rikku was oblivious to what was going on in Josephs' mind and in his soul. Joseph started calmly back at Diablo. He gazed into the eyes of his master. If he really wanted to, he could peer into his masters mind to find out if it was true or not, but he didn't have to. Diablo has never lied to Joseph. Not once during their respective time together. Joseph didn't have to read the elf's mind. He could read it in his eyes.

He shook is head in disbelief. "No... that can't be..." he muttered quietly to himself as his gaze now met Diablos' feet. He could no longer stand to face his master. If Diablo never lied to him before, then why did he wait 2 years to tell him of his sister's existance? Why would he lie about that? Maybe now he was lying? But if he was, what reason would he have to do that? There's no way this could be a cruel joke. It shone in his eyes. This was the truth.

He had to be sure. "Rikku!"

Rikkus' mind began to wander. She began to question what he'd do next. She began to formulate worst case scenario's and her reactions to them in her own mind. She too was gazing at the floor boards. It was Josephs' call to her that broke her concentration. She looked up at her brother, feeling somewhat uneasy. "Y-yes..?"

Whenever Curio would use that tone of voice, it usually meant trouble. Rikku did her best to avoid such a confrontation. Joseph walked over to the girl. As he moved, he slipped the black glove off of his right hand. Stopping in front of her, he held his hand up. "Show me your hand."

Rikkus' reactions were quite slowed. She was confused. This situation was overwhelming her. She found it ironic in her own mind that she yelled at Diablo about doing just this, yet wished he never had. She glanced down at his hand, which stayed in place infront of her. She looked at the balck marking that was present on the back of his hand. So he really did have the tatoo. Realising that her gloves were already off and laying on the bar counter in the other room, she knew what she had to do. Nodding slowly, she lifted her left hand.

Joseph was shocked. He stepped back, shaking his head in disbelief. She bore the exact same marking on the back of her hand. Though it was on her left hand. Just like his fathers' diary was written. 'Both children bare the symbol of Katsuya honor. My son, on his right. My daughter, her left.'

As those words flashed through his head, the reality began to set in. As the mixed emotions began to set in, he could no longer stand to be where he was. He stood momentarily, staring into space, perplexed. Before long, he took his leave. Excusing himself quickly, he passed by his younger sister and left the room.

There was one thing that hit him the hardest; Diablo lied to him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Issac watching in awe as his master showed her emotional side, then left the two of them to reacquinte themselves. Issac laughed at sister's first comment to him. "I've been getting myself out of trouble, too."

When Sachi hugged him, he returned the gesture. At that moment, the mood completely changed. What would normally be a good time to fire off a joke or a sarcastic remark, Issac was consumed with a feeling of complete seriousness. It just occured to him that anything could happen to either of them. Every moment they share could be their last. Especially in their line of duty. With this sudden epiphany, his state of mind changed dramatically.

As Issac let go, he kept this mature composure. "It's good to see you again, Sach. Things just aren't the same without my sister around. How have you been holding up these passed few months?"

Slowly Aurora let go of Diablo, she was going back to her body. She doubted Diablo would even notice that she had moved away. She entered the other room and moved to her body. The moment she entered her body, the charms stopped working. Slowly she opened her eyes and got back to her feet.

Quietly she made her way to the other room and stuck her head in.

"Anyone care for some tea?"

Diablo just stood there watching Joseph try to make sense of the situation. He then lowered his head knowing that he screwed up, and just as he did so was when Aurora decided to take her leave, thus draining him of the strength he had to handle this. He simply just stared to the ground.

As he stared at the aged wood, he could hear Joseph's final reaction before taking his leave from the room. He knew he'd have to go after him, but he was unsure when the time would be right, this surely would drive a wedge between the two. He had not lied to Joseph directly, merely with held the information, he then muttered, "Idiot..." mostly to himself before he glanced up at Rikku.

He looked up at Rikku and muttered, "I'm sorry... But I have to go after him." He then turned to the door and rushed out. He sprinted down the hall untill he came up behind Joseph. He stared at the back of his former pupil lost for words. How could he talk to him without feeling terrible for all of this? He knew he'd never be able to face him if he let him get away now.

Diablo swallowed a lump in his throat and then said, "Joseph, I know you think I lied to you, but it was for the best. Had you known about her earlier, you would have gone after her. Now that you know, you can make the choice to forgive me or not, I will not force your hand either way. It pained me not to tell you all this time, especially after you first met her." He paused in order to collect his thoughts, "I guess the thing I'm trying to tell you is that I did it in order to keep you safe, and from chasing a dream, and I feel I was right in that case. She's here now and that's what matters, so instead of running away take this time and make something out of it. Don't walk away."

He felt like a hypocrite, but he was speaking from the heart and in an incredibly jumbled manner not normal to him.

(Why do I get the feeling this post ran about in circles making very little sense?)

[Sucky and short and a long wait. xD Forgive me!]

Sachi blinked a couple times, sensing the shift in mood. She'd been expecting a joke or two from her brother, but it didn't seem like she would get one. Nodding a bit, the teen gave him a small smile. "It's been boring, really. Until just recently, as in today." She tilted her head, gesturing back towards the bar.

She paused, pursing her lips. What bugged her the most was that he was going to leave again soon, to help some mysterious girl with revenge...

"I'm going to come with you! When you help Cassandra get revenge," Sachi blurted out, determined to go with him now whether he liked it or not. She was betting on the second one, but perhaps he'd have some change of heart from missing her so much. Sachi scoffed to herself, but kept her gaze steady on Issac.

Joseph says:

The troubled lad hurridily rushed for the back exit. The wooden floor below licking at his feet, made the slight creeky noise they always did. Someone who have to fix those someday...

As the lad turned the knob to take his leave, a familiar voice came from behind. Diablo stood behind, pleading to the lad not to leave. Joseph listened to the elder's words carefully. He slowly began to respond. "It's okay..." The boy who always lived carelessly had a million thoughts running through his head all in an instant. He didn't know what to do. What to say. But he knew what he wanted to do.

"Don't worry about me, old friend.." Joseph spoke calmly, almost detached from his own words. He continued to speak to Diablo, not once turning to face him. "You may not think of it as lying, but what exactly did you tell me when I asked what became of her?" A rhetorical question, not meant to be answered. The fact of the matter was, Diablo never came out and told him what became of her. It wasn't the fact that he hid if from Joseph that hurt so much. It was more of a combination of things. The events of that night. The night where the two siblings faught against eachother, almost to the death. The same thoughts would be running through Rikku's mind aswell. She too remembered it quite well.

2 years earlier, in this exact location. Diablo and Joseph were fugitives of the new land. The traitor Curio was the executioner waiting to see their heads at the guotine. And the axe to fall was Rikku. For years, the eldest elf tried to corupt the mind of the young Rikku, only to find that it was impossible to turn her against herself. Rikku was born with an unexplainable defensive mechanism. One that protected her soul and her psyche from those who would try to enter. So instead, Curio took advantage of that and used it against her, causing her to loose conciousness and controlling her from there.

His final mission for her was do or die. Worst of all, she was in control of her actions, not he. As both blades of Katsuya were drawn against eachother, one came out victorious. Right before the final strike, however, the crimson blade stood above all. Diablo protected his pupil and allowed him to flee, now facing the foe. Although Diablo could not enter the lasses mind, he knew the deep dark secret that both siblings did not. That Rikku was of the same blood line as Joseph. She found out on that day, 2 years ago.

Now, the secret's out. Joseph was indeed happy to learn that his sister was still alive. "Don't worry, Diablo. I'm not mad at you. I don't blame you for your decision. I probably wasn't ready to learn the truth.. " As the question of whether or not was ready to learn the truth today circulated in his mind, he tried to assure his master of the best. "I'm not running away."

Joseph slowly began to turn and face his master. As the features of his face slowly came into view, two streams of tears flowed from either one of his eyes. Tears of joy or tears of pain? It was impossible to tell at this time, even for the one producing them. "I'm not running.. I just need some time alone..."

The male slowly closed his eyes. Turning away, he took a step outside the door. As his image slowly faded, his prescence was no longer present at the bar.

All Rikku could do was sigh.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Elsewhere in the forest, the male's image became visible once more. Joseph let out a sigh. Why? Why was it so hard to have just told the truth? Because Diablo didn't want him getting hurt. "I suppose..."

The footfalls below his heavy boots were almost as heavy as the boots themselves. Almost dragging his feet, Joseph made his way into the woods. Walking momentarily, he stopped infront of a familiar scene. Bending over, the male grabbed the discarded scraps of metal that once was his fathers prized weapon. Grabbing onto the hilt of the once elegant blade, Joseph lifted the large chunk of steel. Lifting it up, his gaze eyed the symbol that was inscribed on the side of the blade.

The youth's mind was racing. Several thoughts were running through his head. The symbol. Rikku. His father. This sword. The Katsuya seal. His fathers diary. Naru. The darkness within. That's right. His other half. Joseph had finally acknowledged it as that. Maybe it knew what to do in this case. Maybe his darkside would help him cope. Joseph closed his eyes..

His legs slowly lifted him above the ground. Now standing straight up, his gripped the hilt of his broken weapon. The other chunks of metal that lay on the ground began to twitch slightly. The large chunk in his right hand began to perspire. Dropletts of water began to form on the steel, both in his hand and on the ground. Globs of molten steel slowly fell onto the dirt surface. The steel itself was beginning to melt. Turning from a cool silver to a warm golden colour, the matter that held the sword together began to shift slightly.

The arms of the boy lifted the sword above his head. The metal on the ground began to lift as if evaporating. It gravitated around Joseph, splitting into smaller cells of hot metal. As hundreds of coin sized orbs swirled around the boy, the general temprature around began to rise. The hilt itself seemed completely unchanged by this matter transformation. Within moments, the metal began to settle on the broad side of the hilt. One by one, the little coins of heat would attach themselves to one another, slowly taking the shape of a weapon.

The eyes of the lad opened once more. Glowing a bright yellow, the gaze steadied upon the blade, that also glowed a faint golden hue. The sword was slowly pulled closed to his body. Inspecting the blade briefly which his eyes, a faint blue aura glowed from his left hand. Joseph slowly raised his free hand and held it upright, adjacent to the blade. The aura had formed into a tiny blue orb, which Joseph pushed against the sword itself. The aura acted as a cooling agent, which turned the sword back to it's original state. The sterling silver steel blade it once was. But something was different. It was shaped differently. This time, it was build more sleekly, and about 5" longer to boot. Evenly distributing the same amount of weight it once had, into a larger surface area. He always thought the old thing was too clunky, anyways. Adding the final touch...

The Katsuya seal.

Outlining it softly with his index finger, the mark embedded itself into the side of the steel. The yellow glow of the boys eyes had gone. Now the deep brown eyes gazed upon their creation. A voice wispered to him. A gift? Joseph swung it around a bit to get the hang of it. This would definatly be workable.

Sigh.

"Why, oh why did I decide to come out here at this time of night?" Cassandra had a terrible habit of talking to herself when she was alone. As she continued to muse to herself, she now found herself lost. It'd have been a little easier to work with if she was familiar to the area, but given the new scenary, she was undoubtably lost. Wandering aimlessly did have it's advantages; to forget one's troubles. But why must it always be at such a high price? Shaking her head, she kept walking.

A short distance away, a white sparkle gleamed in the night. Cassandra was too conciously absorbed to have even noticed it. Taking a moment to sit on a log, she panted slightly to herself. She'd been walking for well over half an hour. The sparkle began to move. How does she always seem to do this to herself, she thought. Nevermind how she got here. How was she going to get back. Slowly, the white light made it's way closer to the lass. If only she had a map. Or a compass. Or someone to show her the way back. That would be the most conveniant.

A bright light interupted the girls throughts. Blinking a few times, Cassandra realised she was staring directly at an orb. Jumping from her perch and shreiking, Cassandra readily got onto her feet. The girl looked around curiously. The bright light was gone. But wait. No it wasn't. It seemed to be hiding in a small hole in the side of a tree a few feet away. Cassandra tilted her head slightly. Puzzled by this being, she cautiously began to walk towards it. "Don't worry little guy. I won't hurt you..." her soft voice called out to it.

Suddenly, the glittering ball shot out of it's hiding place. Cassandra flinched slightly, be realised that it meant no harm. It was just coming out to greet her... or something. The hazel orbs gazed up at the pure essance of light. Invisible to the naked eye, 4 tiny wings fluttered about furiously, keeping the being a float. "Hi there... little fella'... My name's Cassandra. Pleased to meet you.{/color]"

The pixie hopped up and down and flew around in a circle. Was it excited? Could it understand her? "{color=green]Can you help me find my way back to the cabin that's... somewhere around here?
" It was worth a try. The light responded immediatly. Facing left, then facing right, it appeared as though it was trying to locate something. It then circle around Cassandra 3 times and flew off into the distance. Was this her que to follow? What else could she do? Stay out here?

"I don't think so!" she exclaimed, responding verbally to her own thoughts.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sound of steel cutting the air had died down. The blade lay dormant in a spot it wasn't entirely unfamiliar with. Joseph leaned back against the bark of the tree behind him. Placing his right foot on the golden hilt and his left hung off to the side, dangling, he made himself quite comfortable on the blade that lay horizontal, embedded in the side of the tree.Arms crossed, a billion thoughts still ran through his head. He thought back to the tragedy of his parents slaying. Interesting how he just learned that his sister was alive and all he could think of was his mother. A sigh escaped him. That's in the past.

He wasn't willing to admit that his mother was gone and never going to come back. But now he had a sister.

He thought she'd never come back. But there she was. Green eyed and pink haired, just like he always remembered. But she was so young back then. It's good to see her all grown up. They too, had a lot to catch up on. Not unlike two other siblings that were present here today.

A flicker of light from the corner of his eye caught his attention. Thinking maybe someone had come to look for him, he peered over to the light. It took a moment to realise it, but he noticed that this light was not attached to an arm. He watched coriously, pondering what exactly the light might have been. It danced as it approached, floating hypnotically back and forth. When it stopped infront of his face, he realised that it was a concious being. His deep cow eyes gazed into the lulling light of the pixie. The pixie too gazed at him. A mental image fluttered into Joseph's mind. The vision of a middle aged, elegant, goldened haired woman, was running through a tunnle of light. Running towards him. She ran in slow motion, trying desperatly to make her way to him. As she closed in on him, she slowly reached out her hand. Joseph reached out to grab her hand...

Then a bright light engulfed the two. She vanished as quickly as she had appeared. The light had blinded Joseph momentarily. He slowly opened his eyes. There, perched silently on his hand, lay the tiny pixel. It calmly fluttered it's 4 silky wings. Was it just a vision..?

'Snap'.

Joseph's thoughts were interupted by a snap of a twig to the left. The male almost got into a defense mode until he realised the source. The blonde girl who broke the silence simply stated"[colo=green]...Oops.

"Absolutly not!" Issac quickly responded. "It's far too dangerous. I can't allow you to put your life in danger like that." Issac knew his argument was not valid, considering he was doing the same for himself. He knew his sister would put up a fight and he'd eventually give in anyways. That's usually how things turned out. Issac sighed for a moment while he let his twin respond. The last thing he needed was to worry about his sister's safety. Now that he finally set his troubled mind at ease by seeing her safe once more, he really did not want to endanger her life unnecesarily.

Although, he was thankful that she wanted to fight by his side. Issac could just imagine that she probably felt the exact same as he did about it. After a brief lecture from his sister, he finally caved, like he always does.

"Well, I guess I can't really argue with you..."

[[I kind of added what I believed Sachi would do in this situation into my post, based on what I've seen of her already. Hope that's okay. You can just fill in whatever you'd like into the blanks. You can even push a little bit past it, to give me something to work with for my next post.]

Raine sat carelessly on a stool infront of the bar. She sat with her eyes closed as the drama from the other room raised and fell. Now in silence, she only imagined what Diablo might be thinking. As the deep purple hued orbs opened and peered over to the rear hall way, Aurora turned around the corner. Raine turned and looked back to where the woman once was seemingly sleeping. How did she move without Raine noticing? Raine observed the strange woman as she casually walked into the bar area and trailed off behind the bar, bent on making tea. Something was a miss with her. She seemed too... okay with everything. Something with her was out of place.

"Hey." Raine said lightly to get her attention. Raine had to ponder for a moment to figure out what to say."I apologize if this seems sort of forward, but you don't seem too... Bent out of shape about what has happened today. What's your story?..If you don't mind my asking." With all the emotion that was circulating in this forest, it seemed odd that this woman was not caught up in her own inner conflicts. She seemed right as rain.

[[Just trying to get you more involved here. =]

I shall take this moment to apologize for my recent lack of activity. Something has come up in my life that I need not ignore any longer. In turn, it has 'forced' me to remain off Gaia until this issue is resolved.

In the meantime, I've asked that Travis help me out a bit with my posting. So chances are, he's posting this message to you at my request.

And of course, Travis, you're not doing it for nothing. I will pay you in gold for doing this, aswell I'll supply you with free avi art, without question and without you having to bribe me, as a compliment of my thanks to you.

Thank you so much for your patience with me and I hope you enjoy what I've left here for you. I know most of it is for my own personal enjoyment and very little is to the development of the action. So, here's my challenge to you (if you choose to accept it). Stump me. Give me a post that'll make me scratch my head. Something that'll make me have to type twice as much as I've typed right now.

Anyways. I hope to hear from you guys soon enough. =3 If you'd like to keep in touch with me, for now, the best bet is my hotmail address via email. I'm a very busy man these days and I usually only get a chance to check me emails. So feel free to send me off something whenever you'd like.

Thank you and good night.]]

PS. [[I hope I have not inconvienianced anyone too much with my absence. It's just temporary until my life issues have been resolved.]]
