iToxic - Madness xX Mirrored Sound Xx Ugh. My laptop's out of commission, too, due to a virus. <_<
This... Is gonna make it tough to record. All the other computers are upstairs in the living room, and there's seven people plus dogs in the house... Well, I'll just have to practice like heck whenever I get the house to myself.
@Yen Quest: I'm always up for character art! =O I live with a whole bunch of people too. It's really hard with just ONE desktop and 3 brothers and a couple of cousins who LOVE to critisize. I feel your pain. >>
Though, I believe my family will be gone tomorrow evening, so I shall try recording while they're gone.
Ah... We're doing the original, right? Not the piano version? If so, I might have a little trouble. Not sure how much I can do... I can't sing very fast when it comes to singing in Japanese. >_>;
Heck, I don't even know how well I can sing in Japanese. xD
Boy, I hope I don't butcher the language.

You kidding? My dad's so paranoid about viruses and crap, there's tons of anti-virus programs on that laptop. Dx Yet it still got a virus...
Eheh... I hope I don't butcher it. xD Well, if I do have trouble pronouncing something or whatever, I'll just ask my sister for advice. She's learning Japanese and certainly knows a heck more than I do. In fact, me and my brother have her translating some stuff for us. XD;

Oh, some tips I kinda used to learn Nippon, I usually just remind myself that the consonants are usually heard alor except for r's and l's, and h's, coz some of those are usually flipped and repronounced, and also, all in the japanese language are also short, oh so perse, while you read this, you should only pronunce it in short vowels,
Ra, Ru, Ri, Re, Ro
Prounounce that in short, and you may get the idea on how hiragana is pronounced, so, just try it out, then flow it with other vowels and start prcticing on saying common japanese words like Ohaiyo, or, Konnichiwa
Oh, and one more thing
Each time a vowel is next to anoter vowel, it seperates the syllables
For example, when you usually say Ohaiyo, It actually goes like O-ha-i-yo.

Ah. I... think I understand? I'll do my best to pronounce things correctly, anyway. xD I can usually pronounce things fine if I say them slow, but it's speeding them up that makes it difficult. But hey, I love singing, so I'm gonna keep practicing~
Do you have any ideas for the next song?
Also, I'm wondering, have any of you watched the anime Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad? I really like the songs from that anime, and I think it'd be cool to turn them into choruses. Especially Moon On The Water.

Yen Quest x Tiryn, could you take me off the list? I've decided I won't be participating in any songs outside of English lyrics. My brain just fails at languages I don't understand. Sorry for the trouble. If anything, I'd like to draw someone's character if they need somewhat of a decent artist. :3

For the lyrics I think you should separate the pronunciations so they're easier for us (who fail) at saying Jap stuff

Perhaps. o-o That might get a bit annoying to do, though, especially if it would have to be done with every song... That's a lot of breaking up lyrics you'd have to do.

Hmm, you may be right, but I got something that may hinder that, I mean, some words that may have that connecting vowels, which troubles me, so I duno which one is which to be honest as well ehehe ^^;;.
Also, yeah, beck WAS a good anime, although, I do not listen to most of their songs, but I will listen to them as soon as possible whilst to the fact that I may go off vocaloid for a moment. But for not for the next song, I'm thinking of doing.... Conchita, or Kokoro-Kiseki. Either which, but which fears me the most is that when people don't submit their stuff on the due date. So please people, be punctual, I cannot plan out songs, if the chorus won't be turning in stuff too ya know. ^^;; sorry, to be so rudely blunt, but yeah, thats the way how reality goes I guess.

Well, really, when you get down to it, it's all about sounding things out. o_o You'd do that with any language, even English. Once you've sounded it out, it shouldn't be too hard.
Beckbeckbeckbeckbeck. <3 -Just a LITTLE obsessed with it- Actually, I've been listening to the Beck soundtrack like, nonstop. I haven't listened to a lot of Vocaloid lately. >_>;
If we only do one song from Beck, I vote for Moon On The Water. It's simple, and I think it'd make a great chorus song.
And yeah, I'll do my best to get a recording in by the due date.
Aw man, I haven't heard either of those three! Well, maybe Dancing Samurai, but I've only heard that once. Ah, curse you dial-up, keeping me from hearing songs. ;-;

And I'm just throwing an idea out there for people who are having trouble...try using karaoke video or something to help with your practice. Also maybe try to record with it; plug in your headphones so the recorder will only pick up your voice. I did this when I took a voice class and it helped a bit. I can't find a version that has just the music + lyrics.... sweatdrop
