Maka was rather lost.
She had been in the middle of talking to the prince, the son of the man who had destroyed her family, and she had been JUST ABOUT to end his pitiful, blue-haired life, when everyone had gotten pansy and run away. They had just...run. The prince hadn't even been running from her, either. Just...running. It pissed her off; she'd been SO CLOSE to extracting revenge, and she hadn't been allowed. Her eyes narrowed, her grip tightened on the scythe, her foot came in contact with a rock and sent it sailing through the air, only to land on the ground, lifeless as usual.
Maka's rage-o-meter, as her uncle called it, was at an unfortunately high level, even for her. She stormed after the rock, and kicked it again. "Stupid rock won't even defend itself. Fight back, will you? Fight back! Why won't it fight back?" She kicked it into the wall, and watched it smash. She gained some pleasure from it. He left it dead and with it's head
He went galumphing back

DemonDays2 [I'm not talking about how Gailor is basically a medieval version of Hitler. I was just pointing out the fact that both are complete monsters with no redeemable qualities, and yet both ruled an area..."successfully". Also, this isn't modern day. Way back when, and in fantasy land, peasants don't usually go "ra ra fight the powa" and overthrow the government...especially if they are ruled by fear. Like you say: the line between good and evil is relative. Thus, the citizens are forced to see him as good, and yet he does little good for them in the long run. But I'm really the wrong one to be talking to. Talk to Stefis, who designed the character. I'm just running off what I gathered by the backstory, my own opinions, and by the actions of the previous Gailor in the first rendition of the RP. Also, the reason I was confused was I swore E was fighting inside the city not a moment before. I might be mistaken. Regardless I'm too tired to formulate something coherent...at least, for a post.] ((A: You seem to be missing the point. What I was attempting to say was that it would take extraordinary circumstances for someone as vile as Hitler to rise to power -- there are several examples of Chinese emperors being overthrown for this. B: There are many, MANY examples of overthrown rulers in medieval times -- it was a period of violent upheaval. C: I wanted King Gailor to not be a kitten eating monster and the previous king to shine light from every orifice simply because black versus white morality is BORING. Having a despicably evil character versus a overwhelmingly good character is not good writing, and not fun to roleplay. D: E is far faster and more agile than the majority of the characters, it would not be hard for him to keep up with the rest of the group. Protip: A RP isn't dead when we stop to have a quick discussion about character development. Besides, only the author gets to call it dead.))

(leave the story the way it is thts the way it's told if u dont like it then you shouldn't have taken the role. i think it is going great and i'm having fun, i'm sure others are as well, Gailor's king is a tyrant, thats the way it is written leave it at tht.)

[We're not saying he's kitten eatingly evil. But he's definitely not all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows. And neither was the king of Faren. Nobody is perfect, but you can think of Faren as doing all he can for his people, and Gailor doing the bare minimum needed to keep his people alive.]

The plot describes Gailor as a tyrant, I don't think we really need to go through every detail, like how he came to rule, or why he conquered Faren.

((What Demon said is how I had meant the RP, and Gailor, to be. All I really wanted is for Gailor to not treat the Faren people well or do anything to help them. Aki always puts the Faren people before himself, and if they were treated well, he wouldn't fight against Gailor because it would endanger his people, but the whole point of the RP is for him to fight to free his people from a tyrant. So Gailor could not have helped them at all and let them suffer, giving Aki a reason to fight. And he isn't the kind of person to fight only for revenge, so don't even try to suggest it. But the bottom line it, Gailor may not be cruel to his citizens, but he cannot help the Faren ones, thus making him evil in the eyes of the Faren people, but not evil in the eyes of the Gailor people, which will contribute a bit to the sequel I'm planning if this ever makes it to the end. If not, well, I'll just write a book. Actually...I may do that anyway...O.o Oh, I'm talking to myself. Heh heh...Ignore that.))
