The trek had been long indeed, although she'd made the journey a hundred times, she was sure this time she wouldn't make it. However with Jerome diligently tracing her footsteps; she made her way to the bed and eased down with a loud and blissful sigh. Oh...it was lovely. Taking both kits, while taking the time to take in all that was her son Bryyo with a smile; she couldn't help but feel torn as Jerome moved to the floor.
Perhaps it was stubbornness, but after weeks of not being able to have him at her side thanks to her belly she wasn't going to be denied further. Slipping out of bed on wobbly legs she pulled out the sleeping mat she'd used in the shop long before she found residence here and pushed it beside him. Taking the kits with her and the blankets she curled her tail around the pair to keep them warm and secure before cozy-ing up to his side; noticing he was looking at his hand but was too drained to put the pieces together. "How....about now?" She grinned, then yawned; closing her eyes with a smile permanently on her face.

Jerome sighed and fell asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow. He felt the warmth of his mate and children, but was too sleepy to say much of anything
-----------------------------a month and a half later
The spartan had long since left the foreboding environment of the home. Although he felt bad that he had to separate the twins often as he knew his mate couldn't handle 2 priceless bundles of mischief. So, poor little Bryyo was constantly trekking from the hill, to the odd police station, and to his mother's home. Jerome didn't like it, but he figured it was still a good life for his son.
"Bryyo, come on we're going to Mom's" he called out as he walked into the unfamiliar police station.
The little bundle of joy had taken greatly to his "home" where granted yes his father was rarely around, but he was still protected by several others, including a very quiet ninja guy and a huge elite, who claims to have been present when he was born, but he wasn't sure about that. He often ran the halls trying to elude the silent ninja, and today was no different. However when he heard his father called, he sighed and walked to the lobby. "Daaaaad!! Snake Eyes and I were playing! And I don't like my sister anyway..she's mean
Jerome shook his head." Don't be such a baby, she's just a girl. Come on" he said as he took the little kit under a paw and nudged him out the door

Home life was something to get used to, especially when there was a kit involved. As much as she loved Nariko; it was rare that she felt any sort of similarities between her and her daughter. It was only when it came teaching that they seemed to bond, like Koyuki, Nariko had a knack for picking things up quickly and was always starving for more. Much like today for example as the vixen prided herself to try and keep Nariko's hunger to learn satisfied. Dressed in a kimono of the finest of silks in a brilliant golden hue, the vixen moved fluidly across the lawn in an elegant dance, one which was slow, precise and each movement calling for complete control and core strength to make not even a finger tremble.
"Remember Nariko...its all about keeping your core tight and each movement controlled..." Koyuki breathed out gently as she continued, keeping an eye on her daughter who tried to follow along with show of promise, but her own little kimono bulky since she refused to take off her armor.
"It...Its harder than it looks!" She breathed out slowly as well, her little paw slowly moving through the air but her arm shook slightly when she had to hold her position....although different than when she could accompany her dad in his training field, it was still a workout none the less.
"....When is daddy coming...?" Nariko asked curiously, to which Koyuki could pick up how much she missed the big lug as much as she did. "Soon dear...soon."

The Spartan trotted at his easy pace, occasionally looking back to see if the little tyke was keeping up. Surprisingly enough, Bryyo had the grace and balance of a swan. Certainly something he got from his mother. It worried him though that the boy took no inititive in the Spartan training he was slowly putting on the 2 and instead was more keen on disappearing into thin air, which Jerome had to admit, he was good at.
"Come on now, just through here" he stated as he moved a bush aside and saw the other half of his family dancing on the lawn. A smile crept on his face underneath the solar tinted visor, and he couldn't help but be memorized by his mates fluid movements
Bounding over logs and darting through bushes, the little kit thought nothing of his stealth. All he could think about was his mother and how happy he'd be to see her, and how distasteful it would be to see his sister. As soon as the bush moved aside and the young boy saw the familiar figure of his mother, he took off towards her as if shot out of a cannon and tackled her. "MOOOMMMMMMAAAA!!!"

As the loud yell of Bryyo reached both of the female's ears, Koyuki smiled immediately knowing that both he and Jerome had made it safely. Barely able to prepare she grabbed her son mid tackle and spun on the ball of her foot to twirl him into a tight hug as she held him up. "Bryyo! How are you my love?" Koyuki smiled lovingly as she picked a leaf or two out of his hair from the bushes, they were growing just so fast...even now she had a hard time holding him since they were both about half her height and then some...she figured in a few more weeks time she'd be unable to pick up the two large kits. "I hope you've been minding yourself for your father and the others at the station..." Although she knew he would, such a good little guy he was. Taking a glance up at Jerome she could only smile...hoping that she'd get a turn soon but was content to let Nariko visit first and of course see Bryyo for the time being.
At the same time, Nariko's face lit up not for her brother but the sight of her mesmerized father. "Daddy!!!!" She squeaked out, taking to bounds and strides before using her wings to propel her into his arms. Nuzzling against his neck since it wasn't covered in armor she let out a little raspy purr like her mother "Oh daddy I missed you! Look! I'm getting used to my armor so you can take me for longer training dates!" Pushing her already long locks from her shoulders, her little tail swayed a mile a minute.

Catching the little girl in his arms, he had no problems holding her up despite how big she was getting. He figured he'd be able to pick them up long after they had fully grown. "I can see that sweetie, and we will in time. But first we have to get your brother up to your speed" he said as he pressed his helmet against her soft hair.
"I hope you are having fun with mother and learning things" he said setting her down so he could walk over to where his mate and son were dancing and being happy.
Bryyo's little tails swished violently out of happiness as he nuzzled his face into the warm fur and clothe on his mother's chest. He pulled his head away and immediately slicked back his hair as it was a habit now. "Of course Mother! You'll never guess what I've been doing! I've been playing with this cool guy in the shop a-a-a-and he says he's going to teach me the arts of...nin...something or other and and and" takes a deep breath. " well he didn't actually say it, but he is still going to teach me!" he said with a huge stupid grin on his face

. o O ( -Pokes head in.- If you guys want me to scuttle away, just say. ewe; )
"Freedom". It was a splendid thing, especially when she'd been cooped up for over two months now. Two months of dark halls, dark rooms, monochromatic colours, screens, needles, cryo tubes, endless tests, and him. She had mixed feelings about him, this Tyrant. But she refused to let them cloud her mind while she was able to do what she wanted.
Wriggling her toes against the grass, she suddenly burst into movement, heading for the one home she had to go to. Trepidation and shame filled her; she hadn't kept her promise to her Koyuki. She hadn't been there. She should have - would have - had she not been detained. Fresh sights, fresh sounds, fresh smells. They were everywhere, but Kirara barely stopped to look, listen, and smell. Her silent, rapid pace was hurried, even eager despite her lingering sorrow.
She was going to see her koneko...and if things had all gone right...her Koyuki's konekos. Grandchildren, in a very literal sense, even if Koyuki was not of her own blood. Her heart nearly burst with joy at the thought. Kits to play with, to coddle. Even more than the bowl she'd picked up, who was now a kit. The house came into sight, and she practically doubled her pace until she was at the front door. Had she not been listening to the pounding of her own heart...she would have heard the laughter in the back yard. But as it was, she silently let herself in.
Her ears perked, twin tails flicking from side to side at the barely perceivable movement to her left. "My-Koyuk--" Abruptly she cut herself off. The scent wasn't Koyuki's. In fact...it had a very distinct smell and she wrinkled her nose. She wasn't familiar with the being this scent belonged to, but her instincts raged at her to pounce. Eyes slitting further, she held herself precariously still, watching. Most of her itched to find her daughter, but...she was riveted by the smell. A small pink tongue flicked over her lips and small fangs, waiting. Waiting.

Something wasn't right. As much as Drake destested the reality his pebble had been stolen from him by that boring spartan....it made things even worse that they'd had kits together. With a coffee in paw he walked across the hall from the living room towards his bedroom when he gaught something out of the corner of his eyes. Kimono....cream fur? His pebble!!
"So...finally came to your senses and got bored of the tin man...ah?" Once his head was completely turned his eyes widened as he froze....watching the youkai...moreso a cat youkai eye him down like he was going to turn into something she dragged in. She wasn't moving....that is until her tongue slid across her lips. "OH SWEET CHRIST!" Drake yelled in a panic, a horrible terrified death squawk erupting from his beak before he madly dashed down the hall and veered the corner; running for his life.
-----------------
"Awwwhhhh do we havetah? He's going to take forever!" Nariko sighs heavily and puts on a pout, but it all faded as she giggled while they touched foreheads. "I am....Momma says I can be a lady and also be strong too....I want to make you both happy and proud." She spoke as she was set down, happily taking to a matching pace at her father's side as they returned to where Koyuki and Bryyo were.
Koyuki wasted no second to return all the affectionate nuzzles to her son, purring deeply in her chest. "Oh really now?" She beamed, before trying to think back and remembered the black clad fox when she and Jerome visited there. "Nin....ah! You mean Ninjutsu? That's wonderful my dear...you will have to practice lots; but I have faith you can do it." Ruffling his hair gently, she set her son back with his paws on the ground as Jerome and Nariko returned to them. Purposely 'gliding' across the grass with as much grace as she could muster she in one movement rose onto her toes and planted a kiss on him. "I missed you, as well..." Koyuki smiled in a slightly coy mannor....untill a crash in the house drew her attention over....and a faded squawk?
"...Did you just hear something?" She asked on an uncertain tone.

Jerome snickered a bit as he watched his daughter mimic his moves. "You've already made me proud Nariko. Best not to let your father float away like a balloon." he said with a smile under his helmet, he turned over only to find Koyuki planting a kiss on his helmet. He snickered a bit. "Want to try that again?" he said as he removed his helmet and kissed her lightly on the lips. His ears flicked at a faint screech of some kind and his helmet went back on almost as quickly as the noise had started.
Bryyo quickly fixed his hair. "I will mommy...there's just one thing. I-" he was interrupted by the sound of a terrible noise. Immediately he ducked behind his parents for saftey

The nekomata's ears perked up, slanting forwards to catch every little sound that...the bird made. It started with his words, and the lilt and meaning behind them made her growl inwardly. Her Koyuki hadn't made mention of a trouble-maker in their household...or at least, one that was apparently vying for her affections when she had a mate.
The smell of his sudden fear made a shiver creep down her spine; her paws pressed firmly against the floor, sharp claws peeking out and scraping against the surface.
...and then the moronic penguin shrieked - shrieked - and fled.
That did it.
She was off in less than half a heartbeat, kimono being of no hindrance whatsoever to her fluid, racing steps. Instinct gripped her, and she nearly flew without wings, bending her body around the corners she had to take to follow him. Even running for his life...his speed was nothing compared to her own.
As soon as she had him in her sights again, she was close enough to pounce. Leaping for the bird, the prey, fangs bared and clawed hands outstretched...her tails streaming behind her...she might have been a lovely sight...had death not been in her eyes, anyway.
"I'm not going to hurt you."
'Much.'
A wicked smirk dawned on her lips, moving to subdue his beak as quick as she could by pressing his face against the floor, leaning in with her long hair cascading in a drape around them. The shaded light only made her eyes burn brighter, a purr bubbling up in her throat.
"I'll just kill you and eat you, of course."

Why the HELL does s**t like this always happen to me!? Luckily for his webbed feet he could take corners at a dime without worrying about slipping; but Drake had made it almost as far as the door outside when the shadow soaring under his feet became a clear sign of what was to come. The wood floors were hard as his body slammed down against the surface, his face quickly pinned under one of the neko's paws before he could even gasp out in pain. Wriggling and squirming to try and get free, his eyes widened at the sound of death in each word she purred out....he had to act fast. Lashing his head as hard as he could he managed to get his beak free and cried out as loud as he could; "BRIAREOS, KOYUKI, ANYONE HELP!!"
As Koyuki's own ears flicked to the sound of her name and the familliar tone in the voice screaming she knew it was Drake. As much as she didn't want to go help him; as house leader while both Briareos and Trovalius were out she had a duty and wasn't about to abandon her posting. Quickly crouching down to Bryyo and Nariko she pushed the kits together and gave them a quick kiss on the forehead "You two stay here and be safe, if you have to run you run to the shop or to the station and we'll meet you there." With a serious look to Jerome and a nod; the vixen took off to the house. She was aware there wasn't much she could go against something evil and dangerous, but if she had to she could get Drake out of there and hopefully Jerome would be able to take down the creature.
Opening the door to the house though she was surprised to find her Mother ontop of Drake right beyond the door, as her eyes went as wide as saucers and she froze in the doorway. "O....Okaasan?"
Nariko, for once not noticing the proximity to her brother felt a little nervous as well....it wasn't everyday that something bad potentially could happen. Leanding against Bryyo with her eyes glued to the house she spoke softly; "Do....do you think a monster is in there?"

Jerome had no idea as to what was going on. All he heard was a shrill squawking. As if a bird was getting attacked, but he didn't know any birds. It puzzled him further when Koyuki decided to go and face whatever lie inside. He was about to say something, but the look on her face and the gesture she made before she left just told the Spartan to stay put. Hesitantly he sat down and curled his tail around his children, baffled by what was happening or what could happen
"M-m-m-m-monsters?" he stammered nervously, feeling his knees begin to shudder a bit. He was trying to figure out why his mother left as opposed to his father. He was obviously bigger and more capable of handling disturbances. Why didn't he go?

As much as it made the blood in her veins fire and pulse, she could not kill the bird...penguin...fox...thing she had pinned. But that squawk and shrill shout had her pinning her ears back. Even if he was calling for her Koyuki, or...or this other "Briareos"...well, Gods be damned if he wasn't annoying.
Attempting to at least subdue him once more, she leaned down with an impish grin that fully displayed her teeth, twin tails twitching and writhing behind her and her kimono draping lightly over her catch.
"For the love off--Silence, you worthless pile of feathers, or I will kill you." She sniped out, cautiously flicking an ear back to a forwards position, the grin slipping away for a more serious glare. Her ears flicked at the soft footsteps beyond the door, and her head came up. The door opened, and the shocked murmur of her daughter drifted to her ears. With one last smirk at the bird-prey beneath her, she stood and nimbly jumped off him. Tails raised and flicking to and fro with a pleased air as she moved forwards.
"My-Koyuki~" The nekomata was quickly at Koyuki's side and enveloping her in a hug, ears drifting back to listen for sounds from the penguin on the floor. Her voice lowered to a whisper, the apology whispered and heartfelt. "I'm sorry I was not there, My-Koyuki...I'd broken my promise to you..."
Another failure. She mentally shook her head at the thought, viciously trying to clear it away. If Koyuki chose to berate and be angry with her...then she deserved it...but, Kirara would try and make it up to her.
"Are you all well..?"

"..........Okaasan?" Koyuki couldn't help but repeat, the shock still not fading from her head even while her mother curled her arms around her in an embrace. Needless to say her eyes watched Drake take no hesitation as he near silently rose and tiptoed away....hoping to be unnoticed but Koyuki knew he wasn't by her mother's ears; yet his presence wouldn't be missed. Wrapping her own arms around the nekomata before tightly hugging her, the vixen buried her face into her mother's fur...just like she had when she was a kit.
"Okaasan.....what happened to you? I don't care if you didn't come..." Since well....that might have made her birthing even more awkward to have her mother stumble upon the the scene that was her, Jerome and Arbiter. "....yet you would not have missed it out of free will..." Which led her to wonder what exactly had kept her mother from her side. Perking up though as she pulled her head back, a smile did stretch on her lips. "Yes.....Yes I am, although I should say we are all well...." Taking her mother's hand, Koyuki opened the door back up and lead her out into the yard....where Jerome, Bryyo and Nariko sat.
Nariko beamed and cuddled into Jerome's tail, enjoying it despite the proximity to Bryyo she currently was. Yet this didn't stop her from taking advantage of the situation and smirking wildly. "Yes....big ones with sharp teeth, and oozing with guck and killing everything in its path!" Squirms a bit afterwards....making herself a little scared untill Koyuki returned from the door with another female fox in tow ".....she doesn't look like no monster to me. D: "

Jerome blinked. It had been several seconds since his beloved had entered, but at least the obnoxious squawking had ceased. Silence...music to my ears he thought for a moment.
After a few moments, he heard a casual conversation. What the heck was going on in there? It wouldn't have been long, but when the double doors opened revealing his mate and....someone else..he was far more puzzled then ever. Looking over the latter, he immediately felt he had entered a fairy tale where people walked around looking catlike and had two tails.
He shook his head and promptly reached for his cache of cigarettes stored in a holster on his left hip. He picked one out and pulled out a lighter from another holster and lite the cancer stick hoping for a moment he was just delusional
Trembling further, the little boy hid his face behind his paws hoping the mental image would be the only thing he would see from the description of the beast."STOP IT NARIKO!!! You're scaring me!" he said in a bit of a whiny voice. Even when his sister said there wasn't really a monster, he refused to remove his paws from his eyes, thinking she was tricking him.
