Culture Much of the common lifestyle in Mandor is centered around travel. Each person possesses at least one mount, usually a horse, reliable and loyal. Every child over eight years old is able to ride--many learn even younger. In addition, with so many tall mountains and steep cliffs, flying mounts are also commonplace. A mount is a basic necessity of life in Mandor, much like computers today. xD There shouldn't be anyone who doesn't at least have a horse. Horses don't usually get stolen, either, because they're so common that everybody has one. Also, Mandor is a pretty lawful kingdom, what with all the chivalry and honor going around. There are probably different types of horses, though, so there's still plenty of room for a character statement. ^^

Hmmmm.... maybe. Yeah, I guess they'd need donkeys and mules. But they might be rare. Horses are so common that I don't think anyone would have donkeys and mules except for younger children and farmwork and stuff. Oh right! Hey everyone, check out what I made yesterday!! xDDDD  I looked EVERYWHERE for more images that looked like my mental image of Mandor, but I couldn't find a THING. So I said to myself, "Alright, FINE. You want something done, you've gotta do it yourself." So I did! ^^ Pretty cool, huh? See if you can guess who the people are. xD I was trying to get everyone, but there wasn't enough room. Maybe I'll do another one sometime. biggrin I think the dog might be a tiny bit too big..... but it's probably okay. ^^ Also, that's not the Castle of Mandor up there. It's probably some small fort somewhere along our journey. 3nodding

Yes, by all means! ^^ We're short on males at the moment. biggrin Especially male knights. There are lots of options. You could be a knight from a different land who became a knight of Mandor. It happens a lot (just look at Elenda's parents). Or you could be from Mandor originally. Or you don't even have to be a knight if you'd rather play something else. biggrin
It's all chivalry and heroickyness with tall mountains and shining armor. ^^ Sort-of like stretching England to the size of China. razz

I'm thinking of recycling Seodred, a character from a LOTR RP. He's Rohirrim, but with a few adjustments he would be quite fitting for this role play.
Question: Is horse our only option? I sure liked those land beasts...I forget what they are called but that wingless dragon.

Yes, Land Stryders are cool. ^^ Not my idea, but I love 'em! xD He might want a horse, too, especially if he's recycled from Rohan. xD Have fun making up a backstory and things! It'll be great to have you aboard. biggrin

Well the idea was that removing the horse would make him essentially NOT Rohirrim and thus more unique to this role play smile
When I finish him do I PM him to you? AND since you mentioned coming from different lands, am I free to make that up entirely or are there certain restrictions?

I'm not sure if it'll work with a tablet, but I imagine it would. biggrin GIMP is awesome! xD It's a lot like photoshop, but it's FREE! Did I mention it's free? mrgreen
