Kazuki had just returned to the Sand but after hearing about the exams he wanted to really train for them. He arrived at the training canyons to practice some jutsu and moves he wanted to test out and review when he noticed some familiar people in the distance. One felt really familiar.AkeruKazuki was usually really good at sensing people's chakra after he had been around them and especially if he had fought them. He activated his eye to get a closer look and watched them fight. He noted Akira's wind power. His barrier idea was cool and Kazuki formed another couple ideas from it. None of which he was going to try right now though. He wanted to review. He turned around to see if anyone else had followed him. He had called to both of his teammates to join him but had ran on ahead.

Kazuki smiled as his teammate walked up. He didn't blame Ichi for being behind him. He was just that kind of slow moving person. "Hey Ichi! I was hoping we could train together. I need to work on my basics and make sure I can still do all my jutsu correctly. It would be a good chance for you to practice anything too. I'll help if I can." Kazuki smiled and let his eye revert to normal. He had seen Akira fall for Akeru's trick(or at least he supposed it was a trick, he couldn't hear that far).

Kazuki pulled out some ninja tools out of his pack, most of them a random assortment of shurikens, smoke and flash bombs, and kunai. "Can you use these? I mean I don't know if you really have to with the sand and all. I wanted to practice with a couple of them and you can try them if you want. If you don't want to we can just talk. Maybe I can help you get over that stuttering if you talk more." Kazuki set up some targets as he spoke and turned to hear Ichi's response when he finished.

Kazuki picked out some kunai for himself. He preferred using kunai over shuriken but he could use all of the weapons fairly well though he favored kunai the most. He jumped up onto a rock and closed his eyes. He had once been able to throw a kunai one direction and then hit it with another kunai to hit a target. He decided to work on it and opened his eyes. He had set up a target behind a rock to try for it. He threw a couple of kunai but couldn't get the timing correct. He tried again but spoke to Ichi while he threw. "So what do you think of our team, Ichi? Do you think we'll all get to become Chunin?"

Kazuki smirked at his answer. He didn't feel that they were ready for the Chunin exams at all. He felt he was but he felt his team wasn't. "I don't feel Kyou is ready actually. I mean yeah she can sense chakra and disappear with that jutsu and she is kind of cute with those glasses, but she hasn't really been contributing to our offense much." The kunai he threw went farther than he had meant it to this time but he didn't notice. He formed hand signs and a lightning spear formed from his mouth. He aimed and fired it at the rock creating some nice sized craters in the rock so he could see the target and neatly threw a kunai at it. He felt satisfied and hopped off the rock."Don't count yourself out either, Ichi. I think you just need to learn to take a stronger offensive approach with your sand attacks."

Kazuki watched Ichi's move. It could easily be a finishing blow kind of move mostly resulting in the enemy's death by crushing sand. Kazuki shivered a little but his brain seemed to click at the move. It was familiar but he couldn't place it. He went back over to his pack and pulled out a book or what looked like book. Kazuki kept a blank book that he filled with interesting facts of stories he found or heard and that move had brought something up. He continued to talk as he flipped through the pages."How did you graduate from the academy then?"

Kazuki nodded still searching through his journal book. He found it-a Kazekage a long time ago could manipulate sand. He had a gourd that sounded very much like the one that rested on Ichi's back. The story didn't mention anything else other than that the Kazekage favored a move where sand encircled a target and crushed it with pressure. He looked up at Ichi. The story didn't say if this Kazekage had married or had kids so maybe Ichi could be related to him. He closed the book and got up. He opened his mouth to ask Ichi about if he knew anything but stopped himself."Really? Who are your grandparents? They sound like really knowledgeable people if they know the academy well."
